Look at NFL where offensive players and defensive players sometimes help each other up from the ground while both are laughing and they're patting each other.

Slayer, one of the Bears and Packers' implied goals for the year every year is to beat the other team. Hell it was a big selling point for Lovie Smith, the Bears coach when he got hired. Even if the Bears finishes 5-11, they will see the season being an improvement (based on the win at Lambeau).

Cal. Man, this really blows. I wonder if I should just simulate the whole season. Well if you want to preserve the integrity of your season, you should save before EVERY simulation, as to keep winning as much as possible.

Well I just had an interesting situation in the BCS. As San Diego State, we're not exactly considered a powerhouse, but with a grade A non-conference schedule that we went through (Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan and West Virginia) and a 12-0 record, we were ranked 6th in the polls, 4th in the BCS standings. Well Texas was ranked 1 for the BCS and was about to face USC for the title in Orange Bowl. Well, funny thing, no one told Colorado. Colorado beat Texas in the title game. This kicks Texas out of the BCS. And the final Orange Bowl game matchup was #1 Oklahoma vs #4 San Diego State.... SDSU won the Orange Bowl by the score of 42-7. It was sweet indeed. Now let's hope the actual southern California team wins the actual bowl.

Duh! Way I see it, it's down to Peterson and either White or Leinart. Bush is pretty much not winning.

Don't you listen to what the recruits say? Usually it takes the one or two important pep talk topics to sway guys over to your school. The most common that seems are Coaching prestige, location and playing time. Tell the recruits about those three items, if they don't bite, then drop them and move on to someone else. That's what I do and I usually round up about 15-20 recruits ready to come (and some are in the insanely good skill level) EDIT: After reading more, I would say you should properly divide up the recruiting points to about 20 for top level skill players and 15 for everyone else. That's how I did it.

Well my QB and WR are being considered for Heisman, with the QB being the leading candidate. Anyone who quarterbacks a lousy San Diego State offense to blowout victories against Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan to be 4-0 so far (if anyone was wondering, we're ranked 26th in the BCS standings thanks to a crappy preseason placement.)

Decided to start a new one with San Diego State. Currently in Game 1 vs Ohio State.

Which is why I used what originally is a Division I-AA team. It takes longer to get to the top (and sometimes it annoys me that when you have a crappy team with an undefeated record, they would be ranked in the teens)... otherwise the game is fun. (Realistic too, gone are the 60+ blowouts, in are the 3 point victories)

Can I assume you moved Arkansas State out of the Sun Belt conference? Or did some freak miracle happen and several Sun Belt teams get ranked? Yes, we moved Arkansas State into the spot where Baylor would normally be. (Big 12 South)

We'd just move on to using the Lions as the BUTT of our jokes. Seriously, we don't care about the Vikes anywhere near how we care about the Bears. It is the NFL's oldest rivalry so yeah I would hope Packers fans care more about the Bears in the negative way.
