No, the thing is, there is nothing that could possibily fit w/o rewriting history. Kurt never liked Eddie or Chavo enough to want to help them, but never hated them enough to come up with a multim-month plot against eddie. If they're going to rewrite history, they will, but they WILL include January. I'm not saying that's going to make sense, but they will try to get January into this build for Mania.

Who did YOU think was the mystery attacker?
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Matt Young's topic in The WWE Folder
It couldn't be Edge unless they want to kill his comeback heat. -
To you and me and almost everyone here there was no reason.... to the WWE, there was, and we'll most likely hear the whole story in the coming weeks.
-
Nah, the best thing is to just pretend that whole month of January never happened and that Angle's involvement with Eddie started with the SD! Rumble. The WWE isn't just going to forget January happened. There's a reason January happened, and it all led to tonight.

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
That was the opinion of Wade Keller that circulated as news. I think there's some truth in it, but there has been no indication given that Cena was ever seriously considered. Yet they were running angles of Heyman/Cena which indicated Heyman sending Cena over to Raw. -

How so? HBK got the pinfall in the RAW match and he drew with Shawn at the Rumble. One really good match he was lucky to escape with his title and a draw. His only televised victory this year has been over Spike Dudley. I'm speaking from history. HHH/Jericho Fully Loaded (HHH goes over) HHH/Angle Unforgiven (HHH goes over) HHH/Benoit No Mercy (HHH goes over) HHH/Angle Royal Rumble (Austin interferes to give Angle the win) HHH/Austin No Way Out (When Austin needed the momentum leading to Mania against Rocky, HHH goes over) HHH/Taker Mania (One of the few times he is willing to go over) Gets hurt HHH wins Rumble (That's okay) HHH/Angle No Way Out (HHH loses here but he gets the job back the NEXT NIGHT) HHH/Jericho Mania (HHH goes over) HHH/Hogan Backlash (Jobs due to interference by Taker) HHH/Jericho Judgment Day (Goes over) HHH/Taker KOTR (Jobs because of Rock) HHH/HBK Summerslam (Jobs, gets the last laugh) HHH awarded the Raw title for no reason (Other than a flimsy excuse that is Taker/HHH Raw contender match) HHH/RVD Unforgiven (Goes over) HHH/Kane No Mercy (Goes over) HHH/Elimination Chamber Survivor Series(Jobs to his friend HBK) HHH/HBK Armageddon (Goes over) HHH/Steiner Royal Rumble/No Way Out (Goes over) HHH/Booker Mania (Goes over) HHH, Jericho, Flair/Nash,Michaels, Booker (HHH goes over) HHH/Nash JD and Badd Blood (HHH retains belt) HHH/Elimination Chamber Summerslam (Goes over despite a poor showing) HHH/Goldberg Unforgiven (Jobs but still made to look good) HHH/Goldberg Survivor Series (Surprisingly he puts Goldberg over) HHH/Goldberg/Kane Armageddon (Had no reason to be there, but hey he goes over) HHH/HBK Rumble (Draw) Mania ??? See where I'm drawing my conclusions? -
Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans

They pushed him hard in the weeks before the show. And should he have been the absolute pick? Would that have negated the strength of his win? Cena was pushed as well. As Rudo said before, Cena was the power player in getting Benoit in the Rumble. In fact, if I heard correctly, the final decision for the Rumble was down to Cena, Benoit and Goldberg. I just thank god Willie didn't win it. And the Raw jump wasn't guaranteed to Benoit as well. He was only chosen over Cena because Michaels didn't want to be overshadowed by a more charismatic worker like Cena. Yeah that really shows they care about Benoit. -

I hear what you're saying Loss, I agree that it isn't a crime to want a good match. However, it seems like HHH wants good matches IN WHICH HE GOES OVER. I know it's Wrestlemania. Last year it was Wrestlemania, HHH pulled everything out against Booker T, including the race card, and he still managed to pin him after a delay. Why should I expect anything else just because this year's worker turned in a great Rumble? Fact of the matter is, Benoit wasn't even the guaranteed favorite to win the Rumble. -

And to follow up my last post, you must also remember it was HHH who lobbied to get Michaels in the match, AFTER lobbying to get Benoit over to Raw. This clearly indicates: HHH wants his match at Mania to look good and what better way than surround himself with two great workers? HHH knows he has to drop the title to go off to film his cowboy movie or whatever it is. He doesn't want to look bad, so he figures that he could have Michaels going over and having Benoit win it from him the next month while HHH gets to look strong for his next feud (In which he will probably go over in). And you actually expected Benoit to fulfill his dreams? This is HHH we're talking about. -
Jericho/Rock? Jericho/Michaels? HHH/HBK? Those have been after Austin/Rock and have all been handled just as well, if not better. Jericho/Michaels had the wrong guy winning and HHH/HBK wasn't the right feud at the right time, but as far as the execution of the feuds, they've all been good. Jericho/Michaels was a good feud in theory. In practice, it flopped. HHH/HBK is a good feud because they're buddies and they're willing to put each other over (Not as much now as before) and Jericho/Rock.... see Jericho/Michaels.

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
Just to dumb this down for my own amusement. In theory this means HHH will be putting over HBK AGAIN instead of Benoit. Then HBK will put over Benoit instead... and it'll all end with HHH beating Benoit...having never lost to Benoit. So Benoit's dreams of beating the best on the biggest stage of all are realized HOW? It doesn't. It screws Benoit completely. Which is what HHH wanted all along. -
They did not cut him off at the knees. He won the world title for crying out loud. They made Eddie/Chavo a main event level program, ending the show often and they actually based a lot of the advertising of the Rumble around that match. But does Chavo really deserve a main event program?

Agreed. One of the appeal of baseball is seeing Cubs and Red Sox be the lovable losers.
-
I know. I see the lack of logic in that. That's why I said I disagree with their ideas, but those five points I brought up are probably the most likeliest scenarios they'd run in order to get Edge/HHH feud going.
-
Not that I can agree with their ideas nor am I sitting in the writing meetings but I think I can come up with a reason HHH would attack Edge. 1. Edge is becoming a threat to his ME spot. Now I know this will bring up the "BUT HHH WAS ON RAW AND EDGE IS ON SMACKDOWN BAH GAWD!" While that's true, that didn't stop any cross-promotional angles from happening. I mean, look at Brock/Goldberg. They kicked off their Mania feud at Survivor Series and doesn't really start physically feuding til Royal Rumble. And last year at NWO or some event, didn't Jeff Hardy slap Matt Hardy, who were on separate brands? 2. Maybe Edge and HHH had some interaction that led to a brawl and Edge being attacked. This probably sets up the idea that Edge told HHH that he will win the title and HHH took offense in that. Now this goes back to the Raw/SD argument. Perhaps Edge intended to jump to Raw, and it was never completed.... until now. 3. HHH feels Edge looked at him the wrong way so he beat respect in him. I know this kinda sounds like a "Out of my league" kind of thing, but this could go hand in hand with reason #1. I mean HHH has proven that he will do anything to get what he wants. 4. HHH has money on Team Angle in their match and this increases his chance of winning. Farfetched I know. Let's never speak of this again. 5. HHH just felt like it. This is probably the angle they'll run should they do the Edge attacked angle. My point is, there's MANY MANY MANY ways they could book it around HHH being the culprit. However, I feel that this kind of angle is best used to turn a face heel. Look at the Austin storyline. First Rikishi was used as the guy who did the grunt work. He turned heel. Then HHH, a face/tweener turned back heel when he was revealed to be the mastermind. I just hope that if they go the surprise route, it's not tied up to Benoit, as Benoit will most likely be banking on a huge face momentum going into Backlash. Unless this serves to be a fodder for an "excellent" Edge/Benoit feud that carries Raw over the summer in the undercard. Then again, this is the WWE. We will just see.

Why would he do such a thing? How else explain HHH/Edge feuding?

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
Meh... makes sense with the build they're doing now. They seem to make it look like Number 1 feud: HHH/HBK Number 2 feud: HBK/Benoit Number 3 feud: HHH/Benoit So I'm guessing they think that they can wrap up the HHH/HBK feud for the time being with Michaels going over both guys and wrapping up the HBK/Benoit feud in Backlash. Then most likely Benoit'd drop the title to HHH at Badd Blood to complete the entire build. -
Actually the two situations are different. Brock- Participant in match against Vince McMahon Angle- WWE Champ/Referee for the match Brock turns on Angle Eddie- Participant in match against Chavo Angle- Referee for match Angle turns on Eddie. See the difference?

I think Lesnar would have gotten the Orton push (Be fed everything even if you're not over)
-
Can you blame him? His nose is too big not to get into things.
-
Benoit needs to look good, better in a win than no contest, because if he doesn't, then the real attraction is HHH/HBK. Wait, I forgot.... it's HHH/HBK that's supposed to be the attraction.

No Way Out ratings, opinions, and other stuff.
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
No problem, Downhome, I had the camera ready when Eddie went to the top to do the frog splash. I thought the PPV would be bad, with only the ME being the decent match. Boy was I proven wrong. Eddie vs Brock was phenomenal, I only wish it was built up a little bit longer and properly but I will take Eddie winning any way I can take it. Rey vs Chavo, I was surprised that Chavo won, but I knew it would be a good long match (It was hyped almost as much as the ME). I got the sense they were trying to replicate the Rey/Eddie Halloween Havoc match but I could be wrong. The Triple Threat was decent and I liked how the Big Show was booked strongly. Big Show is rapidly becoming one of my favorite wrestlers on SD (That shows how depleted the roster is), and of course we all knew Angle would win, but I fully expected Big Show to take the tapout, not Cena. The rest of the card is forgettable except for the WGTT win. -
Molly is dating Rene Dupree.

I can see that happening. But I would think Austin's stunner would decide the Mania match. Sending Goldberg out.
