Not until 2009, if pattern holds.

Fine. But like 909 said, he's there for the bat. If you don't see that, I don't know what to tell you. Ripping on his defense isn't necessary.

Honestly, Cheech, shut up.

Yeah even though Darknight agreed with me, I'm not on board with this "Orton is worthless" stuff. I used to hate him because he was just an immature prick who had the world given to him and he kept blowing it. But the 2007/2008 championship reign has really showed that he can step up his game big time if he wanted to. -
Manny Ramirez is probably a huge reason why David Ortiz is/was as feared as he is as a Red Sox player. Way to minimize the guy's value, Red Sox fans.

First of all, thanks for the correction St. Gabriel. Second of all, I was mostly facetious. I understand that Griffey isn't the same player anymore, but like KingPK said, he'll help the White Sox. That's what they need. Help. That's why he was acquired. To help. He isn't expected to be the centerpiece of this revamped Sox offense or defense. He's a veteran player that has experience, can hit for power when he isn't being beat by good pitchers, and if nothing else, it's a name value to get more people to come to the games. The White Sox, I don't think, operated under the premise of being a great defense to begin with. Swisher wasn't that good of a centerfielder defensively, and I think his value is at 1B, so when you do that, you don't want to put Brian Anderson in the lineup even if his defense is ok. This is where Junior comes in. Third of all, I said Jason Bay is overrated for the simple reason he's only getting recognized because he was the only player worth a damn the last few years with Pittsburgh.
-
Yeah what was the White Sox thinking trading for a hall of fame talent with 600 home runs? I mean, commit them to Arkham or something. If only I could get an overrated player like Jason Bay instead...
-
Actually it'd probably be for Josh Fields. I don't even know this Lannan dude, and how he came to be an ace of a major league team. But I wouldn't probably be too excited acquiring a pitcher out of the Nationals' system. I mean, it's Washington.

I always thought it was to prevent the Bears from taking Brohm for some reason (not that the Bears would have picked him anyways). But that could be too silly to be true.
-
Not just that. He lost his title shot at No Way Out, and had to backdoor his way back into the Mania match, much like Rey Mysterio did in 2006. Then yes he took the pin at Mania.

USC #1? Based on what?

I'll take dot Hack Mutation and dot Hack Outbreak.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure they were confused as to why that match was made first and not a World title match involving Punk as everyone was jockeying for.

I'm not saying this will definitely lead to Foley/Edge. I'm just saying this kind of thing usually leads to a feud, otherwise it's just Edge beating up an old fat guy for the hell of it. What killer instinct is being shown there? Wow he splashed a retired guy through a table off a ladder. Taker shows more killer instinct in the mentioned HIAC match with Foley than Edge does here. And that was 10 years ago before Taker picked up the chokehold and the MMA attitude. -

Foley's promo might be good, but it can't lead anywhere. Ok, suppose Edge has found that killer instinct again. Now what? Does that mean he'll beat Taker in the cell? Doubtful. Does it mean he wins the title from HHH soon? Doubtful. All this can really do is set up another Foley/Edge feud after the match at Summerslam. Is that what you really want? -

Why does this sound good? What was exactly accomplished here? That Edge can beat down an old guy he already beat in the old guy's match at Mania? -
I do think Ryan Grant deserves better, but let's not compare the two. Hester has had TWO seasons in which he proved his worth as a returner. He did not get the contract extension for his receiving. He got it for his feet.
-
I think it's more that they realize having one of the best returners in history ALREADY in his only third season and that scores half the team's touchdowns in that span, is the luxury that they can't let get unhappy. What would you have the Bears do about the quarterback situation? None of the quarterbacks in the draft really impressed people in Chicago. What good free agent QBs are out there? What good quarterbacks are available in trade (meaning, no Favre)? They are screwed either way. Just keep the guy who's doing something for your team happy and worry about QB when better options come along.
-
To be fair, with how that defense strategy is set up, he was doomed to spend considerable time in prison anyways. I don't think anyone would really give leniency to someone who, if true, can't differentiate the difference between reality and fiction.

Let's hope.

I'm stuck in mediocrity/first round playoff exit as San Diego, I want to see if it's me personally or if it's the division I played in. A new change might help me.
-
I'm back in as the Chargers. If King wants to swap with me (Falcons for Chargers) I'll take it. If not, I'll stay here in San Diego.
