This draft is going to be deep. I am glad that Walter Payton is being recognized somewhat with a 3rd overall pick in an all time draft. I am also shocked I will be landing either the best QB or the best RB in history, pending the person picking next's selection. Just wow.
-
It's really just 8 or 9 linemen that is being asked to be drafted per team. That's not too hard. And certainly no more tedious than waiting for someone to make their backup QB pick.

You were really worried about someone picking Rashomon first? I know it's a great and influential film, but it's not exactly like a Pulp Fiction in terms of its popularity in this generation. There are a few other Kurosawa films I might consider picking, but I'm jumping on stuff more likely to be grabbed by someone else first. Well it didn't matter anyways. The other possible #1 pick of mine looks to be coming back to me anyways. So I will presumably have my two favorite movies of all time with me. Not bad. edit to explain my comment from earlier: When the draft first started I wasn't sure of the strategy people here were taking. Whether it was the best movies that were being picked or the picker's most favorite movie. My current approach is to take the movies I personally would spend many hours watching on a loop since thats what having only 20 films on a desert island for years to come will feel like. I wasn't sure if one of the pretentious assholes would pick Rashomon just to go "Look my tastes are refined!", so I had to pick it way early, but obviously it looks like I could have held off on it. It was not going to go any further than my 2nd pick though.

I'll have to drop out. My Xbox Live membership (Gold) expired so I'm severely limited to what I can do on Silver.

Looks like a Yuki Shiro char but he doesn't have a foreign name...
-
20 is a good number but if you want to add more, by all means.
-
16 to 14 actually.
-
Your name is already on HarleyQuinn's updated list, Broward.
-
Probably a slight overreach but I wasn't sure this movie would get back to me for the next round, so I'll bite the bullet and take it here: One of Akira Kurosawa's classic films, it pretty much gives you everything you need in a psychological drama that was ahead of its time.

Sounds like everyone is willing to draft individual linemen, so...
-
I'm in.

It shouldn't be hard to find at least FIVE guys to block for your QB/RBs.
-
Thing is Bulls are better served finding someone longer term. Doug Collins reeks of 1 or 2 seasons and out.
-
I wouldn't mind drafting linemen individually but that's just me. For example I'd want someone like Bruce Matthews without wanting one of the whole late 80s/early 90s Oilers line units. Asking people to draft by "lines" is like asking people in the NBA All Time Draft to draft a collective bench.

Yeah a good gauge of a hiring is always "Eh it could be worse".
-
Collins? Uhhhh....
-
This one I've been waiting for. In.

Umaga? He isn't doing a whole lot right now on Raw even though he has that match with Hardy at ONS.

I'll join sooner or later. Gotta fix my Live problems first. Give me a few days please.

Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in The WWE Folder
It's not like its Scotty Too Hotty here wanting to go to MMA. Both Angle and Lashley have amateur wrestling backgrounds and when you want to continue pursuing that sort of career, getting fired/quitting WWE, your best options are TNA or MMA. I would agree that the wrestlers who thinks they can just walk into an UFC cage could just win flat out have a big shock coming to them. Brock trained for a few years before his first UFC fight and he lost that to Frank Mir. -
I'll do it.

Reminds me of Frogg_Neal's quote in the Joe thread:

Santino Marella is a probably in the trouble

Spiff isn't the only one. Santino is completely overrated by this lot. He just isn't that funny. -
Because Shelton certainly is one!

Here's the problem(s) with Shelton- A. In order to be a good babyface, he needs to have a decent ability to talk. As a heel he also needs to do this, but you can at least give him a mouthpiece if he can't do it himself. B. His wrestling ability and style makes him a natural babyface, but he botches a lot of spots. Plus he has a better understanding of how to work as a face than he does a heel, as Cabbageboy alluded to. C. His natural aura lends to being a heel (think Floyd Mayweather but to a much lesser extent). He has a cockiness to himself that you'd want to boo him (or cheer him if that's something you like, as evident by some MVP fans around here) So to sum it up, he has some major deficiencies as either a babyface or heel. And this is why until he fixes some or all of the problems I mentioned, he's not going to take off as much as he has the potential to.
