Makes sense. Also he never really seems to stay healthy. That could be another factor.

Why are the Lions open to trading Roy?

I think the only perspective that matters here is Marney's, as she's the only one that can speak of that experience. She says it was an experience she welcomed and embraced. So be it. Far from me to worry about the legal ramifications of the situation or the long term outcome of this woman or the "that's fucked up" perspective of an outsider like us readers. That's my two worthless cents on the matter.

Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

I'd be okay with Jericho going heel if he doesn't have to be programmed against HHH. I'm tired of that feud for many reasons. -
Honestly I think the first round and second round is when it feels the most boring besides that time period your team has the current pick. The later rounds go by like a breeze, and it's more fun. Czech, watch the Bears take a defensive lineman. Just cause.

I'd watch the draft over golf. It's nice (or not so much) to see what your team has in mind for their long term future. Golf is alright but there's no real emotion there as far as I can tell. Look at all those Jets draft videos and you'll see a lot of emotion running there.

Like Lushus says, wait it out until it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
-
That'd be preferrable. No.
-
Didn't they shorten the time limit for each pick?
-
Or, they could wait it out. See what happens.

Well I should clarify, since I was probably vague as hell about it (to avoid spoiler tagging), but since I'll have to- What bothered my wife (and me to an extent) was that It was just brutal to watch. The movie was not the greatest movie in the world by any means, but it had a certain momentum, and in my opinion, it was completely halted by that ending. I know that the perfect world ending doesn't often happen in reality, but I don't think any parent on Earth would ever want/agree to do what David Drayton did. I know I certainly wouldn't.

Hey don't count out Maveri.... oh I can't do it. Yeah I am thinking Hornets take this series. I originally thought Dallas would take this series, but it looks like barring it being a game of playing out of their minds the first time out, they are not at all intimidated by the whole playoffs thing. I wouldn't be surprised if Utah went to the Conference Finals, but I just can't see it. I strongly feel like the WCF will be Los Angeles vs either San Antonio or Phoenix.
-
They do that all the time. They promote matches ahead of time, but as they always say, "card subject to change".
-
No they get DEN/LA in the second round.
-
I say Los Angeles. I don't think Utah has the firepower to handle the Lakers. If not them, then I'd agree with Ripper's statement.
-
It'd be a nice way to build to Mania 25, with the face finally dethroning Orton's reign of "terror".
-
I don't know if it's true, but supposedly he was calling out JOE TORRE who once again, supposedly, established those guidelines for Joba that the Yankees continue to adhere to.
-
I'm not a Yankees fan, and I agree with Hank. Joba should be given a shot here. And I should preface that with that I think it's stupid to set limits for your pitchers. If they're so fragile, they will be fragile anyways, no matter whether you handle them with kid gloves or not. (Realizes I'll be compared to Dusty Baker or something)

Pointless correction, but I don't get to watch Raw until one hour after its conclusion everywhere else. West Coast's weird like that. However, yes you deserve to be spoiled if you come in a running thread about the show. edit: Oh Cabbageboy, that's kinda what I was bitching about last week when the concept was announced. That it would mean nothing because it was not built up. And it appears I was right. But since it's Regal, of course the IWC will go bananas and go "YAY REGAL!" Nevermind it was a wasted opportunity.
-
I think he's just upset that it's not really fazing Lebron, so he's using the "STAR TREATMENT!" to try to offset that the tactic isn't really working.
-
When it comes to children, yeah.
-
It sucked for me. It's an opinionated statement. Hardly factual. edit: I should also mention I got in the doghouse with my wife, because she watched it with me, and she hated that she had to see that ending.

I don't know racing all THAT well, but why is it a good thing to have finally won 1 race out of 50 tries? Besides the fact you finally won a race, but I mean wouldn't her career be considered a disappointment up to this point?

I didn't read the story, so if it's authentic to the story, then kudos to them for doing it. But the ending just left me very depressed about the whole thing. The whole movie was built towards the father sort of saving the son from the whole ordeal. I guess his solution was realistic, but wow, morbid.
