It would have been amusing to see you use John Elway and Peyton Manning in the same line, considering the history there.

Isn't that true for guys with established posting traits? For example no matter what schizophrenic name changes Czech might make, he's Czech. Kotz's Kotz. Agent's Agent. And so on. Hell amongst the more known posters, I'm Porter.

Yes I misinterpreted. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Resume.

Reminds me of Kyle "He can throw 80 yards on his knees!" Boller... and the worst part was Boller actually played for a Bowl Subdivision team. Flacco didn't.
-
You do realize Montana was a 3rd round pick (82nd overall), right? I doubt they would have touted him, if this kind of coverage existed back then.
-
Yeah that's true. I do actually see the intensity turned up for just about any NFC South game. Probably the reason why that division is my favorite to watch. It is what the NFC Central used to be like.

You lose. I count two words. You never said it had to be all you. So I count a quoted word as a word.

I don't think anyone would disagree that Lethal COULD get there as a main event player. However, it won't come fast enough by the time Joe's ready to drop the belt, unless they have designs for a Bob Backlund WWWF title reign with Joe. and bps: While I understand what you are saying, I really do think that if you put Joe and JBL together in the same ring, JBL will get the duke. This is not to say that Joe is not as credible as JBL, but JBL has the advantage of being a "main eventer" in a company most perceive to be bigger than Joe's company. It's just how it goes. You saw how they took a midcarder from WWE and put him over Joe in his first PPV match. They took a main eventer from WWE and put him over Joe three times to Joe's one win. TNA has an inferiority complex where they think anyone they can get from WWE is worth more than anyone they got on their own roster. And it shows.

I think it's hard to develop meaningful rivalries anyways, with how up and down the league's been in terms of teams being good or not. It says something when the most meaningful rivalry in the NFL, in terms of marketing and interest, is a non-divisional one (yeah they used to be in the same division, but the rivalry took off more when they were re-aligned out of each other's division) in Indianapolis-New England.

I don't have time to respond to this now, but I want to get back to you on this one. I think there's more to it than what you might be thinking. Hopefully others can touch upon this as well. MORE TO COME LATER... It's called being one of the only three main event options on Smackdown as opposed to being part of a logjam on Raw. Of course the SD main eventers are going to get more chances to run with the ball because in most cases, the other two would have already had the belt within the previous year. What Undertaker offers to Smackdown, injury issue aside, is credibility in a long reign, which is what WWE has wanted the past two or so years, and not only that, I think they see it as the ultimate gold watch reign for Undertaker. Yes he has had the belt in the past but they never really gave him the ball to run with in the past. His first time, he was basically up against Hulk Hogan, and you know Hogan would be itching to have the belt around him again within minutes of losing it. Then you had guys like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels to basically put on good matches with just about everyone, which was what the WWF needed at the time out of their main event champion, so Undertaker was usually served as a stopgap champion whenever he got it then. Then you have Steve Austin, who the WWF was just going to run as far as they could with, and this meant less opportunities for Undertaker to be the champion for any serious length of time. Lately, as I already said, as one of the only three options, the WWE sees it as their chance to really reward Taker with a long reign. They tried to have him do it last year but he got injured. So this is their next attempt. Shawn Michaels on the other hand, he just doesn't want to work the full-time schedule that is required of your champion. So he isn't. Plain and simple as that.

Miami in the East doesn't make sense to you? I know it's in the southern portion of the Atlantic coast, but it's as East as you can get. Dallas, I would agree. They should have moved Tampa to East and Dallas to South, but that would screw up the divisional rivalries they had going with Washington and etc. At least this current alignment is better than when we had Atlanta and Carolina in the NFC West and Arizona in the NFC East.
-
If a team moved, would you want a re-working of the division alignments or just leave it as it is and have AFC South- Los Angeles (assuming Jacksonville is the one to move)?
-
You can count out San Diego. Linky

I don't even understand the point of this. The show would seriously be stupid to even have Jim propose to her by the end of this season, unless it means Pam turning him down, which would kill a lot of the fans of the whole Jim/Pam storyline.
-
Why do you say? I thought it was pretty funny. Unless you mean him getting a ring after a week, then yeah.

Why? Brock won the belt from Nagata in a match sanctioned by NJPW. Just because he refused to lose it to NJPW (over payments or something), doesn't make it any less valid. It's like saying Ric Flair's WCW title when he jumped to the WWF wasn't a real WCW title. It's not like Brock procured that thing out of the trash and lost it to Angle. Just because a promotion decides to pretend it didn't exist, creating a new one to give to NJPW, doesn't diminish the validity of the belt. Now if you're talking about the result of Kurt Angle defeating Brock Lesnar in a match not sanctioned by the "owner" of the belt making him an invalid champion, then nevermind. Although I will point out NJPW apparently cared enough to try and successfully get an unification match between Nagata and Angle, so clearly it meant something to them.
-
Brohm is going to be a better pro then Matt Ryan, just watch. That's not really saying much. There's a lot of QBs coming out, but nobody that really grabs at me as a "Wow I must have that guy." Andre Woodson maybe before his draft stock plummetted, would have been a possible guy like that.

Hey Czech, just shut up. The White Sox are not for real but just let them enjoy themselves, alright? Even though they have a high payroll, they are definitely much more blue collar than your fuckin' Cubs.
-
That's not all. Isiah Thomas was informed he wouldn't be returning next season as coach of the Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks also sacked their coach, whoever it was.

Gilbert Arenas called out the Cavs, so the Wizards better win.

USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Except Steiner was cutting promos on JOE, I think even as far back as before Joe even won the belt. Steiner also isn't working a Lanny Poffo "Genius" gimmick. He's a roided musclehead who doesn't think things through. Combined with the ego he has, he probably is fine with the inclusion of Angle. He probably thinks he could beat both. -

Steiner clearly wanted Joe. He didn't want to chance Angle beating Joe on Impact and having the match switched around. It's not that complicated to understand. Steiner was screwed either way. If Joe lost, he'd want a rematch clause, and probably would have been inserted in the Sacrifice match between Angle and Steiner. Steiner probably didn't anticipate Cornette putting Angle in the match as a result of his interference. He doesn't think those things through. -
Now West is set, I'll make my picks- Boston in 5, Detroit in 5, Orlando in 6, and Washington in 7 Los Angeles in 6, Dallas in 7, San Antonio in 6, and Utah in 7.

HBK. At least he isn't winning the world title or chasing it most of the time like Taker is.

Hey I'm just shocked the NBA hasn't tried to force a league wide retirement on #23 over what Jordan brought to the NBA over the years.
