This might have been mentioned before, but apparently it bears repeating: The biggest difference between our mod staff and previous ones is that we don't intend to just slam down decisions and that's that. The staff folder is extremely active and we're constantly discussing board matters and suggestions, so keep that in mind- we all have an equal say in what goes on. If a decision is made, it's usually made uninamously, such as the matter with MikeSC. We're pretty diverse in opinions, and we might disagree on what's best for the board, but if we can't all come to a compromise, nothing will get messed with. I don't see a situation like that arising, so for the most part, just remember we have a system of checks and balances here. I should have mentioned I was kidding about expecting that to happen. I'm just making an example of the possible situations that may arise. I trust the mods including VX to be above that.

No. That's not my contention. My contention is at the peak of wrestling fandom, when most fans were watching, Shawn was either wrestling for the competition or not even wrestling at all. So the exposure Shawn had was minimal at best. Before people attack me, I am merely making the point that I believe HTQ's point is Shawn, and Lawler/Rhodes/etc are not legends in terms of being household names. Which they aren't. Only Flair, Rock, Austin and Hogan can claim to be. Well Vince too.

Perhaps extending the qualifications for modship beyond being part of the Maff AIM chatroom might be a good start? First off though, we don't really need FOUR sports oriented mods, which I see Agent, Al, VX and King being. The MMA folder definitely does not need a "custodian" of their own, since outside of EHME, there are not many troublesome posters frequenting that folder. And I'd cut down the wrestling folder custodian to a mere 1, since they are "open" to ideas in theory, you don't need any more than 1 to execute those ideas, and you still have people like King that frequent the wrestling folders, or Al, and they can do the moderating duties there if necessary.

Can Cabbageboy stop posting in sports threads? He never gives anyone credit and always is quick to call winners "undeserving" or "fluky". The act is tiresome. As for the games, I was glad to see Memphis win over UCLA (who I don't like) and since Kansas/UNC was a game of two teams I didn't like, I was sort of rooting for UNC so Memphis could down them, but Memphis should have fun with Kansas. Now just think, Davidson was thisclose to beating Kansas, so that blowout/no it's not/blowout last night made me wonder how Davidson would do against UNC had they won.

The score may have been "back and forth" but you never got the sense UCLA was going to beat Memphis the way they played.

Luke-o is right that Burchill shouldn't be released. However his skills doesn't stand out as well in the WWE as it did in FWA or in the indies. His appeal was the monster heel that did crazy stuff. Now that he's among giants in the WWE, he's the heavyweight whose style is severely watered down. If he switched up to something more technical/powerhouse/submission hybrid, maybe something that is more technical version of Lashley, I think he could get over.

The problem I have with Storm's potential push is when he was with AMW he was always seen as the secondary character of the team. Remember Harris was receiving a title push at one point when Storm was out, but Storm never got that chance on his own. It's like people thinking Jeff Hardy is a World title contender in the WWE whereas when Matt Hardy's name is mentioned it's met with "ehhh...."
