Well I think Cena's involvement in the Mania main event is almost a foregone conclusion. Whereas with the Chamber, you have some possibilities as to who wins (HHH or Hardy being the strongest two). And yes I'm also banking on an unclean finish in the WWE title match as well.

There should be a penalty for these things though. If you make a mistake not too long ago, it shouldn't be that easy to get rid of. I mean they make a mistake in signing Randolph to that deal (btw now you guys see why I didn't want him in Chicago, although Chicago sucks now too), so they get rewarded for it by getting a buttload of people in return? So it's better to go for .500 or worse in the mid to long term instead of punting a year or two with an eye towards getting back into a championship mix? That's the kind of thinking that keeps many franchises swirling in continual mediocrity. No how about they be mediocre for a year or two, then be awesome? That's certainly possible. I don't think Reaper is going anywhere. The CW is really hurting for some hits, and Reaper was on the way there before the strike hit.

They weren't going to be competitive anyways. At least they went out and got some real talent to rebuild the franchise with instead of doing some half-hearted attempt at competing when they should be punting, a la the Chicago White Sox. Why? Our offense has the potential to be awesome. It's the pitching we have to worry about.
