If people want to see what would happen if Jason Garrett took a head coaching job in the NFL this offseason, just look at how Lane Kiffin is doing with the Raiders. Yeah I know it's a worse circumstance with Al Davis as your boss, but the lack of respect shown to him is probably what Garrett can expect.

This isn't going to help TNA in any way, not even if UFC gives money for it (which they will blow on getting yet more backstage interviewers that have no knowledge of the business or something). So there's no reason they should agree to it, unless they got the chance to have Lesnar personally come in TNA to hype the fight up with some pro wrestling matches (which is obviously not going to happen). And Corkscrew_Senton: How is it cross-promotion? Did the article say UFC would talk up the Angle vs his PPV challenger match on TNA PPV as well? No. So there's no cross promotion. It's just TNA giving UFC infomercial air time on Impact with Kurt Angle talking up Brock and maybe Mir.

Oh I know, but it makes TNA itself look sort of second rate, IMO.

Why? Why must everything be explained? Isn't there such a thing as a monster (which is an animal in its basest sense) just fucking shit up because that's what it does? People don't ask for explanations for why a shark attacks people in Jaws or why spiders attack in Arachnophobia. They know that's possible. But a bona fucking fide monster needs explaining? Really?

Once again, it's easy. The monster is laying waste to the ENTIRE city (presumably). That's a lot worse, in theory, than two towers falling.

What does TNA get out of this deal?

I think that's a slight reach to make the correlation between 9-11 and the Cloverfield plot. Yes in both we have NYC being under attack, but 9-11 was a situation where you had a bunch of terrorists taking command of a plane and crashing into WTC. I haven't seen Cloverfield but I assume the monster attacks the city on a larger scale, and in the Hollywood style. Now if they had inserted the WTC towers digitally in the film and had the monster take the towers out as well, then you'd have something there, IMHO.

So let's pick who will win next year's tournament, since it's as legitimate as a Royal Rumble match outcome. Edit: Just to toss in my votes, Al and King.

It is a game. I can't see this game being popular beyond the defensive minded video game players, considering the game is literally built around tackling.

I will say that if the angle has any shot of working, Awesome Kong is the best choice for it.

You know, after reading the press releases that KingPK posted in the conference title games threads, I was shocked to see that San Diego is the #3 winningest team in the NFL in the past 4 years (behind the Pats and Colts in that order), but with how the media is selling San Diego on to viewers, you'd never know that.

King because he's a fellow USC fan and we've always had a positive rapport which is something I can't say the same about Slayer, although I like Slayer more now than I used to. Tough call. It's between a Cubs fan that likes to bash the White Sox to no end, which gets tiring after a while, but in general he's a solid guy OR a Packers/UCLA fan that I never had problems with. I'll cast the vote for VX just so he doesn't post "PORTER YOU TOO?!" I like Black Lushus. I really do. One of my favorites here. But I talk to Al on AIM quite a bit and he can ban me. I have to agree. As intriguing as the idea sounds, I would probably not really want to see it played out in reality. Call me sexist if you'd like, I don't want to see females beating up males, especially not in a world where if you hit a woman, you go to jail.

It seemed like originally Rikishi was to be the standalone villain, but once they realized it was bombing, they hurriedly inserted HHH in as the mastermind behind it.

That's a lot of traveling expenses for the team in Hawaii/Alaska though when they have to go out to the mainland to play. So that won't happen.

No love for Jack Tatum? He prided in paralyzing opponents unlike Lawrence Taylor who showed real concern for Theismann in that famous incident.
