Well I guess I should say I don't want to be part of an argument about it.

Normally I'd agree. But this is a show about comic book heroes. You should have some understanding of what you are writing. This isn't like when we criticized Heath Ledger for taking the Joker role despite hating comic books. This is the people that's creating the stories for us to watch. If I wanted to watch standard TV fare, I'd watch standard TV fare. I tune in Heroes because it's a little different, in its comic book style (flaws included). That's just my honest take on it. I'm not here to start arguments because ultimately it boils down to individual preferences.

I don't want to feed into speculation, but Mike Leach was spotted visiting University of Washington officials. If he is offered the job and he accepts, I'll laugh. Story here

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
If this continues, I think this effectively ends all the Cena bashers' argument that people don't like Cena. I mean, it's one thing to go to shows to boo Cena (if they still do that) but it's another to tune in Raw on TV to watch Cena. -
Those two Batman stories are why I will give Loeb a pass. He's certainly better than who they WILL bring in, but since people don't realize that, I can't wait for that Season 5 cancellation.

Discussion: The Miz and John Morrison
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
Beer Money? You're just biased towards TNA then. Miz and Morrison are way better than Beer Money. Not so much LAX though. And if people want a comparison for who Morrison would be similar to as a face, look at the troublemaking face Chris Jericho for example. That's the kind of push I'd expect for Morrison as a face. A guy relied on comedy to push along upper midcard feuds, but never taken seriously by the "real main eventers". -
If the roof is closed, Buffalo has a valid complaint about the game (taking one of their home elements out of a "home" game)

I'd agree about Ventimiglia and Panettiere but Quinto should stay around. Be the anti-hero that people love.

Johnny Cash is allowed, Joaquin Phoenix is not.

Dr. Weird seriously needs his own show. His shorts are usually funnier than the main content (ATHF).

Once that Santa's off the board, all Santas are off. People wanting the Kriss Kringles from Miracle on 34th Street or other more uplifting films can thank Smues.
-
Ah yeah, I'll chalk that one up to bitterness then. What's funny is this guy is a fan of Florida, coached by a relatively unlikable guy in Urban Meyer.
-
Yeah it would appear so. Maybe that's the point.

Let's Talk About: Rikishi

The running BUTT to the face? -
And her turn has expired as well. Go Smues.

That's not tough to do. How can anyone hate Carroll? I mean, I get USC, but Carroll himself has been pretty much the most laidback coach I've ever seen.
-
Really? You're deflecting the criticism of OU running the scores up with USC's UNIFORMS? Oh man.
-
Oh a lot can happen in 4 games but I'm just trying to help out anyone who might need an eye on others for their playoff survival. Dunno.

Because it is the most important criteria when deciding best teams of all time. How can you SERIOUSLY give any consideration to a team that did not win the championship? The point of the championship is to declare one team the best of the season/postseason. If you don't win that, how do you win against the many many many teams who have indeed won the championship?
-
People act like it was the catch that killed the Patriots. If I recall correctly, they still had to make plays afterwards. A team like the 85 Bears would have pasted Manning the next play (yes this is a joke out of homerism). The Patriots ALLOWED New York to continue the drive.
-
No and that's my point why the Patriots cannot be. They lost when it count to the Giants. Note I say "WHEN IT COUNT". That being the championship game. New York can claim to be the best team of 2007 because they have the rings, New England does not. They can only point to that 18 game streak, which ultimately meant nothing, since... New York ended up winning the championship, not New England. It's the same reason the 1998 Vikings and the 200(4?5?) Steelers who went 15-1 in the season are forgotten, because they didn't win when they had to. Well the Vikings were remembered simply for having that dominant offense, something the 2007 Patriots can claim, and nothing more.

Another "coach in waiting" has been appointed. This time, Oregon's Chip Kelly who has been tabbed as the successor to Mike Bellotti, whenever that is. Article

Discussion: The Miz and John Morrison
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
I knew Morrison would be a star when he was on Tough Enough. I knew he would be a star when he was Eric Bischoff's brief lackey. I knew he would be a star when he was in MNM with Mercury. I knew he would be a star when he tried his hand at a singles push on Raw. I knew he would be a star when he was the ECW champion. I knew he would be a star when he teamed up with The Miz. And now finally, people are coming around on him. Cool beans. -
He lost favor with me when we had to endure a year or so of Brian Anderson's awesome CF skills instead of Chris Young's.
-
No it's not. If you can't win the big one, then you're not one of the best teams ever. It's absurd to think otherwise. This. You can't be one of the best teams ever if you weren't even the best team of THAT season. Otherwise it suggests that the champion of that season has to be considered for one of the best ever too, and that is obviously not always the case.
