It's not like they were expecting that game to decide the conference when they scheduled it.

To be fair, no team really finishes people off except for New England, who would have done it by halftime.

Makes the Stanford loss all the more infuriating.

As KOAB alluded to, Jingus isn't really one to speak, as he does the same thing about Cena. -
Are you kidding? Detroit is better than that year Mike McMahon almost upset the Packers. I wouldn't say Detroit would wilt against the Packers. The key is whether Detroit is being coached by Rod Marinelli or by Mike Martz. If all Detroit does is pass, then I'd say this is a Packers win, but if they mix in the running game, it should be close and could go Detroit's way.

Personal homer pick would have to be Game 3 of the 2005 World Series.

I don't get excited anymore for any of the PPVs except Mania and maybe the Rumble if the outcome of the match is in doubt.

I need help with changing the names, like who's who. If anyone can direct me to a site where I can do that without the use of you know, MAX Drive or .ISO or XPORT or whatever, that'd be greatly appreciated.

I know TNA would probably go after him. I just wouldn't really want to see it. TNA supposedly told Sabu they had no room for him because they wanted to focus on the homegrowns, so what does signing Carlito accomplish?

Because USC is ranked higher? Connecticut is ranked 20th and USC 11th. I think beating a 11th ranked team would provide a bigger boost than beating a 20th ranked team. Though I wouldn't agree with ASU jumping WVU if both win. ASU should move up a spot or two at best.

So will the NBC schedule makers schedule every non MNF Patriots games for SNF from now on? Next weekend is the 2nd Pats game in a row on SNF.

The real plan is to let him go back to Puerto Rico and not do anything with him.

Like Al says, he's a nice upgrade over Uribe, but the age worries me.

Heh, my bad. Point still stands. I can't believe the amount of people here advocating this kind of behavior. Especially Czech, seeing that it happened to the Bears in 1986, but I guess he doesn't remember or care.

Ok so suppose Kimo Von Oelhoffen or whatever his name is does it, gets suspended for maybe 4-6 games, Pittsburgh suffers for it. All I'm saying is it's a bad idea. If you don't like what the Patriots are doing, then outwork them in the week leading up to the game, and outplay them in the game. Simple as that.
-
If done right, his teammates wouldn't be able to lay a finger on the guy. Hell, Buffalo could have done it last night when Brady slid and the offending player wouldn't have been touched by any of Patriots on the field aside from maybe the receivers and most of those guys aren't really someone to fear. I wasn't talking about retaliation. I was talking about league office taking actions against the guy. Charles Martin took a serious hit on Jim McMahon in 1986 and was promptly suspended two games. In Goodell's world, it'd be even worse. It's really honestly not worth it.
-
I don't think the guy would be looking at just a fine if he hits Brady after a play.

Like that matters. Phillip Rivers (in all of his awfulness) had a better game than Peyton Manning last week. Does it make any difference? No. Rivers and Peyton aren't connected in the eyes of media and fans. Rivers and Eli? Yes. Mario will unfortunately always be compared to Reggie despite playing entirely different positions. My real point is that one game means nothing in terms of comparison. You're better off comparing the overall careers so far, and right now, just by the team's success and how he broke out last year, I think Bush has the edge right now. Let's not forget though, HMW's only reason to make that comment was because he hates USC and I guess he thinks even a DE that was overdrafted makes for a better pick than Reggie Bush, however true that might be.

Congress to Hold Steroid Hearings Next Session

Actually no he ALREADY showed up. He's been on TV since Thursday and was at the PPV last Sunday. -
Let's be realistic here. I got no shot at a bowl, do I? It's fine. At least I turned a losing season into an okayish .500 one.

You kidding? World 8 was not a walk in the park, but damned if that wasn't one if not only easy part of that world. The trick is simply floating onto each ship with your tail.

Barring a collapse by Utah, I win and finish out the season on a good note.
