Florida? You're right. I forgot them. But LSU and Florida meets in the season, so let's just say the winner of that.
-
Oklahoma fans, please exit stage left. Now that they're out of the #1 debate, it's just LSU and USC.
-
I only said Purdue because they're still undefeated. Illinois has a loss.
-
Why? Purdue is probably the best non-hyped team of the Big Ten and a good shot to win the conference.
-
I don't know about you guys, but while this was a big win for USF, I think last year's win over WVU AT Morgantown was a bit bigger.
-
Exactly. I don't agree with cabbageboy's assessment of Nikki Roxx. If they build her up right, then I'm fine with her beating Gail Kim and Jackie. But cabbageboy was not entirely wrong in calling her an indie worker, because that's what she was. So my point was countering Jingus's point that main eventing an indy show made her a "serious" wrestler. To me a serious wrestler is someone who's built up properly by any company as someone who can beat anyone at any time. May it be a WWE castoff or a SHIMMER main eventer or even a backyard fed wrestler if they so desire.
-
That was the Rumble (01). Summerslam 2000 was Best 2 of 3 Falls.
-
I guess to some people indy workers shouldn't be beating WWE castoffs.
-
She IS a serious woman wrestler, Nikki Roxx, she main evented the last SHIMMER show. Blame TNA for sticking the dumbass Baby Shango gimmick on her. Isn't that basically reaffirming cabbageboy's point? Shimmer is an indy fed. Which means she's an indy worker.

I saw this instead of Dirty Sexy Money. Did not regret it. I like Damian Lewis so I hope this turns into a good series for him.
-
I'm aware of the actual dimension, but to call it a "football" field sorta lessens the impact.
-
So the Cubs can't hit it 100 yards (300 feet)? When most parks have 350+ feet dimensions? How sad.
-
VX, surely you could have posted a picture of Orton with a whiskey bottle at a practice instead.
-
Thats like the awsome-ist idea ever. Agreed. That really is freaking awesome. Really? Blowing a potential money-making return on a Royal Rumble match that he cannot in all fairness win is "awesome"?

No amount of money will guarantee anything, so why spend any money at all? $100 mil will get you into the playoffs a lot more often than not, especially if you have a good GM. And usually when you're not getting in the playoffs with a high payroll, you did ONCE or more before then and the players you overpaid for are no longer worth it but you're still on the hook for it (the White Sox being a prime example).
-
Considering that the playoffs host 8 teams and the fact 5 out of the top 8 payrolls are in the playoffs (or is about to be in), it does ring somewhat true...
-
The same woman who won a Super Bowl and made another appearance with the Greatest Show on Turf? (Her name is Georgia Frontiere btw)

Steinbrenner? Didn't dude get suspended/banned from the league and the day to day operations of the Yankees in the 80s?

The problem is right now the Pac-10 and SEC gets more respect from voters and computers. Oklahoma's biggest test is against a team that's falling in the rankings, despite still being undefeated (Texas), and no one really buys Texas as a threat. USC has Cal, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State, and so forth on the schedule not to mention a respected team (at the time) Nebraska. LSU had South Carolina already and they will play some of the other tough teams from the SEC like Florida, so if both teams go undefeated, I don't see how Oklahoma can jump either team, no matter what. Earlier I was worried about the rankings but I realized it really doesn't matter whether USC is #1 or #2, as long as they make the title game should they run the table.
-
Jericho beat the Rock to win the WCW title then beat Austin to unify the titles. No HHH involved here.
-
Really it shouldn't matter who is #1 and #2, since it's pretty much USC and LSU's to lose.
-
Yeah, I wasn't really referring to USC. LSU deserves the top spot. Not Oklahoma. Their biggest win was over Miami at home.
-
The NBC lineup, the CBS lineup, MNF, just to name a few things.
-
Oh right. Ok thanks.
-
How is that possible when you posted the Harris poll having USC at #1?
