Since Czech questioned Satellite Radio...
Fuzzy Dunlop replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in General Chat
Well, I guess the difference is people paying for satellite radio are getting stations otherwise unavailable. People paying HDTV are getting the same channels but with better picture and sound. I mean, I understand both sides and why someone wouldn't pay all that money for either service, but I also don't see the point of being upset at someone who would. So, um, yeah, my post has no point. -
But...he's gay.

Apparently Hayden was on four episodes of Malcolm In The Middle.

In high school there was this black girl with a real thick mustache, and one day one of my friends asked her, you know, "why don't you shave that thing?" Which I thought seemed a little rude, but whatever. She said that her mom had a mustache, and her mom's mom before her had a mustache. It was like a family pride thing. But then again the girl I'm thinking of wasn't attractive in any way, so I guess it didn't matter if she had a stache or not.

So my boss is usually pretty cool about letting us wear jerseys to work, but...

Um, yeah, it kinda does.

Well, I guess my problem is that when I have too much to drink, I'm not very funny, just really angry. Like normal shit that normally wouldn't bother me suddenly becomes a big deal, and I feel like I have to let everyone know exactly how I feel. -

Is there some way I could have handled it better? I mean, short of not being a bitch. -

Wow. You've figured me out pretty well, Czech. -

You callin' me fat? -
No, I somehow feel like that could possibly distract me from the awesomeness that is the show itself, plus as it is a "live video chat," and Boers and Bernstein might possibly be the ugliest men in the world (sans myself) I'll just stick their voices for now.

I got really drunk Wednesday at a bar called The Galway Tribes, and when I got home I sent a message on MySpace to a girl I like, A LOT, and said some things that could have possibly affected our friendship. When I sobered up, I checked my sent messages file, and it showed that she still hadn't read it, but as there is no way to unsend messages on MySpace, I just deleted my account. -
My senior year of high school, when we started our annual basketball month in gym class, me and five other uninspired nerdy white boys decided to join forces, united by our common theme of both not trying and being extremely bad... I was gonna say gay, but I thought Czech would be the only one to get it. It was me, Matt Keth (the only one of these guys I kept touch with), David Delph (whose sister is now my boss and not a very good one), Peter Morrison (now works at Gamestop, see him rarely, but pretty cool), Dan Raftery (fuckin' asshole, but that's a story for another day), and John Schoop (just some kid, I guess). Anyways, we had lost like eight straight or something, and coming up on our second-to-last day, until Matt and I came to school particularly inspired after seeing Kirk Hinrich's first career slam dunk in person the night before. We were playing under rules of "first to 20 points wins," and we came out firing, taking the other team completely by surprise, and we ended up winning 20-4. I had like three assists and one turnover, or something, but one of my assists was the turning point when Rickey Hunt (now a single father at the grand age of 22) tried to dribble a basketball off my head, and I responded by jumping into the air, bouncing the ball of the top of my head and directly to Dan, who just happened to be standing under the basket at the time.

I don't know why this is an issue, really. I wish Chicago sports fans could be as disliked as Boston sports fans.

In sports, there are generally two kinds of teams, yes? There are teams that will try to build from the ground up, and teams that will spend huge money in free agency to go after the best players available. My question to you is, does it matter to you as a fan how your team improves? Say your team comes up short one season, and the next wins it all with a whole new roster? Will that cheapen a championship in your eyes, or will you just be happy for your favorite organization and/or hometown? I really want to get your opinions about this. If this has ever been discussed before, I apologize in advance, and I'd love to see a link to a similar topic if there is one.

NFL Week 7: You Mean There's A Football Team In Denver?
Fuzzy Dunlop replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
Bears get Dick Stockton again next week! Yes! -
What's your favorite bad Dick Stockton call? A) 1 and 1 on Angel Pecan B) 3-run home run for Adolfo Soriano! C) Here's Derrek Lee, Lee spent last year with Milwaukee and Texas D) Wuertz . . . second behind Bob Howry on the Cowboys for relief appearances I'll say the Angel Pecan line is the best, if only because along with Felix Pie and Rocky Cherry we had a whole Cubs dessert.

I'm not sure you understand the concept of irony.

Yeah, I think that's what we all want.

And Phil Rogers says the first two games will be 9:30 CST.

Cubs are going with a three-man rotation for the NLDS, just announced today. Also, rumor is that Marquis won't make the roster.

Arizona's already clinched their division, so you can take them out of that scenario you posted.
