Right after I posted this, I realized it's not funny at all, just extremely retarded. Maybe if I told the robot to say something like "White Sox suck," it would work better.

Seriously, I have some friends who just HATE sports, like they can't watch for more than five minutes without falling asleep even if it's a great game. They tell me it's because they don't know what's going on so I try to explain things and then they're just bored, and if one of them's over at my house and we're surfing the net or playing video games, and there's a big game on, they're just like, "oh well, time for me to go." Can somebody explain this to me?

In an interview with Jay Mariotti this morning, Chip Caray implied Stone felt physically threatened.

What the hell was that "angleslam" thread all about? A roast on Anglesault? It was a little weak, I think.

Supposedly a "hotheaded, high profile" Cubs player has destroyed Sammy Sosa's legendary boombox. Our only clue is it was NOT a pitcher. So... any guesses? http://mb3.theinsiders.com/fchicagocubsfrm...cID=18285.topic

True.

He said not a pitcher.

Hey, what ever happened to that r-train guy?

Are you afraid that black people don't love you?

How the hell did real black people agree to have their pictures used? -

It was never an 8-run lead.

Yeah, but last year coming in I expected third place AT BEST. That's why 2003 will be remembered as one of the great years in Cub history.
-
If we're judging the Cubs solely on their performance over the last ten days or so, it'd be a fair assessment that they suck. They haven't sucked all year, they just picked the absolute worst time to do so. At times, this team has been great. But the Cubs at this moment suck, and I want to know why.

Steve Stone continues his criticism of Dusty and the team, and last night told local radio station WGN that there will be a BLOCKBUSTER personnell change made Monday. Today Dusty said Steve apparently has some personal vendetta against him, probably stemming from "when my players said what they had to." That being, when they said he's too critical and Mercker made a call to the broadcast booth during a game. When Steve was headed up the ramp to the booth today, he was surrounded by reporters, to whom, IIRC, he said "my comments are my comments" and that everything's okay now, after he sat down with McPhail, McDonough, Hendry, and Dusty himself. I just thought this was interesting. Also the game was delayed in, I think, the 8th, for fans throwing things on the field today.
-
No, I'm pretty sure they suck.
-
In case my fellow Cubs fans have any doubts about tonight, we want the Cubs, Padres, and Giants all to win today. That way we're tied with the Dodgers for the wildcard, 3.5 ahead of the Astros and Padres, with the Dodgers and Giants playing six more games against each other.
-
Apparently Clement has been dropped from the Cubs' rotation in favor of MVP Glendon Badass Rusch. And everyone who knows the stories of Dusty overusing pitchers, he said in the paper today he really needs a complete game out of Big Z. And if the Giants sweep the Astros and the Padres sweep the Dodgers and the Cubs sweep the Pirates, I could almost guarantee the wildcard coming to the northside.

I think I'm going bald, too, honestly. My parents keep telling me that I'm pulling at the back of my head whenever I get really nervous during a Cubs or Bears game, and strongly suggested that I watch with a hat on.

A Scientific Experiment!

I can't see any door. -
Aramis Ramirez 4 for 5, three home runs and a double.
-
Dude, think about it, you're a Cubs fan and you contribute your money to a Miami charity to go see a ballgame and then all they do is roast you. That's bad enough, but mocking us at Wrigley is far worse, and using this guy Steve Bartman over and over again..... don't you think this guy's gone through enough?
-
And I fully support the beaning of whoever it was, I didn't see if it was at his head or not, but I hope so.
-
Supposedly the Marlins put up a photo of Steve Bartman on the jumbo tron at the game today. What douchebag pieces of shit, seriously. And their World Series patches, and Cabrera doing an Alou impression. I hope they all die. Seriously, Steve Bartman was just a Cubs fan who got stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time. Let him live his life, fags. Maybe we haven't won a World Series in 96 years, but at least we don't have hurricanes destroying our homes and wrecking our lives. I even thought about going today and tomorrow, wearing a Cubs jersey, and rooting for the Expos, but apparently this charity thing was all a scam to get us there and then laugh at us.

Alou, Farns, Mercker, Sosa. And if the Cubs miss the playoffs, Dusty.
