I was really disappointed tonight, honestly. I loved the way it started, as well as the final ten minutes or so, but the rest of the time I was just thinking to myself that I really didn't care about any of these storylines or any of the new characters. Maybe I was just tired after watching football all day.

Dumb Facebook/MySpace status updates...

Thanks, dude. My second post in this thread was actually a mini-rant about how some people still write "is thinking" and "is feeling," but then I was informed that the whole thread fucking sucked. -

Wow, I wrote that really fast. It kinda looks like crap. Here's some more info: http://www.oasispalmbeach.com/

I've been, 2 1/2 years ago. All inclusive resort named Oasis Palm Beach, right on the beach, naturally, and not too far from downtown, just a short bus ride, and, from what I can tell, the whole city's like one big circle anyways. Definitely go bar-hopping at least once, there will be people set up in all the different hotels telling you about whatever program they have, but especially check out the Coco Bongo club on a Friday or Saturday night. People will tell you horror stories about taking cabs or buses, but I did both, and they both worked out fine. I even drank water there (which is supposedly another big risk) and nothing happened. If you want to do some shopping, there's a place, I think it's called Market 26, not far from the long strip of hotels, where you can find a lot of really neat/weird/cool shit. My buddies and I bought cigars and a Tequila bottle with the worm inside, and we didn't have any trouble getting them back to the States. As I mentioned, it's an all inclusive resort, so all the alcohol and all the food until 2am, and sandwiches and soft drinks after that. We stayed for a week, but I'd recomend just going for a weekend, as there were times when the whole area seemed quiet with not too much going on.

I was thinking we should have a thread for all the best YTMND's we can find. I'll start us off. NSFW http://unholymatrixtrinity.ytmnd.com/

Also, I guess the first two episodes have already been leaked to critics, so just a reminder to everyone to guard yourself against spoilers over the next three weeks.

I'd actually love a Colts/NYG SuperBowl, because while everyone else will be suffering through the constant Manning vs. Manning hype, I'll be listening to Boers and Bernstein ripping apart the constant Manning vs. Manning hype as only they can.

Libby's husband was named David, and Hurley's imaginary friend at the mental hospital was named Dave. Probably means nothing.

Stupid, embarrassing shit you did as a kid
Fuzzy Dunlop replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in No Holds Barred
I used to get all my stuffed animals and action figures and write "plays" for them and then act them out in front of all my relatives. Also, my sister and I had these two old wooden swords, possibly from Disney World or somewhere like that, and we used to have swordfights while listening to classical music. One time I heard one of my friends say "suck my dick" to our mutual babysitter and this was followed up by me chewing on the head of a Dick Tracy doll for days at a time. I also had a Ninja Turtles headband that I used to carry with me and play with all the time, which is what eventually lead to the string from a broken lanyard (the one that facilitates all of my good thinking) that I mentioned in that other thread. I also had one of those plastic inflatable portable mini swimming pools when I was a kid, and on nice days I'd fill it up and swim around in the front yard. One time I walked over to my friend's house to see if he'd like to swim with me, but then when I got there I found out he was mad about something, I don't remember what, and he started chasing me. When I got back to my house, instead of just running inside, I decided to a dramatic leap into the pool and then "hid" under the water. For some reason, this worked, because he didn't want to get wet. When I was 5 years old, my parents bought me a Nintendo and Sesame Street learning game, as well as a bunch of other games, but the only one I ever wanted to play was Sesame Street. Also, for one of my birthdays my grandma bought me some books with pictures of animals, and I decided I didn't want to open any other presents, I just wanted to look at the books, and all my friends were just sitting there waiting. -
I wonder if Matt Young plans to nominate me again.

Jobs w/ Highest Amount of Douchebags

Magnolia would probably be one of my favorite movies if it was only the first ninety minutes and the last fifteen minutes. -
Jobs w/ Highest Amount of Douchebags

Wow, I guess I'm the third person on this board with Borders experience. I just want to chime in that, for the most part, my store is a lot of college kids and college drop-outs, along with a few retired old people or people working second jobs. The people working second jobs were the ones who were the real douchebags (with a few exceptions, obviously), as well as most of the supervisors, but not the managers. Also, the Gamestop closest to me has some pretty cool employees. Some really nerdy guys I went to high school with, a guy who used to be my boss at Borders, and a hot goth chick. -
Two minutes from the season premiere, plus episode titles for the first six hours!

So this is pretty random, but it amused me. The day before Thanksgiving, I changed my Facebook status update to read, "Robert thinks that with the current economic climate, stores should begin advertising Red Friday Sales." Dumb Bitch: "Well, first of all it's Black Friday, not red... dumbass!" Me: "Whoosh." Dumb Bitch: "If you're trying to make some sort of political/economic statement here... it's not obvious... it just seems dumb." My Friend: "Retard bitch." -

I don't think it becomes illegal until money is discussed/exchanged, so they can advertise as long as they're not listing prices. Or it's the police trying to trap you. -

I wasnt at work..I was at home enjoying the satellite feed of Smackdown a day early on the big satellite I used to have. It was fun to stay up late and be one of the first people to get to see the aired version of Smackdown, and also because I didnt actually get UPN and couldnt watch it otherwise. I cant watch SD anymore now due to not having MNTV so I have to wait for the german dude on youtube to upload it...ugh. I was actually referring to the first part of his post, about how TSM could have a late-night thread for people making random comments. There were several Smackdown spoiler threads like that in '03 or '04, before one of the mods said to stop it. -
AJ Soprano, especially the last season or two, was just such a bitch, and it seemed like his personality and his career goals were changing every week.

The problem is...is that you people don't do a good enough job creating new topics. Same old topics is all I see. There should be a few new topics in each section everyday. Thats how you keep people interested in the place. Why don't you tell us some of your genius ideas for new topics?
-
Actually, I was trying to save TSM by giving good advice. It only takes 1 admin to kill a place. It has happened to every board like this with very few admins in power so just imagine what will happen with 14 in power. Thats all I was saying. This board has over 150,000 posters making a million posts per day on average. 14 admins isn't nearly enough. How many of those 150,000 posters are regular posters? How many of those posters are banned or was driven away by being put in the Larve Group? How many of those members are just multiple user accounts? 150,000 members means nothing. Besides this is about abuse of power not how many people are in power. Except for when you told Czech that this board has 11 too many mods.

I support garbage guys, too. They work hard in smelly, nasty conditions so I don't have to.
