    Mark Jindrak

No, they haven't. They're both pretending to be young rookies when it's obvious by now that they're not going to evolve into anything remotely interesting. And let's not forget that the WWE people who think Cade is working good house shows will be the people who think Paul London needs to learn how to work WWE-style. And are responsible for the "use" of Ultimo Dragon. You could add Cade and Jindrak together and you'd still have a wrestler with less ability and charisma than Kanyon, and less charisma and less of a "look" than Sean O'Haire (and he at least would have similar ability). I'd have cut both Cade and Kindrak before letting either Kanyon or SOH go.

    so..

I like the fact that Rico is now face, because it is now heels who get freaked out by his behaviour and therefore the crowd laugh at homophobes rather than the supposed homosexual. I wish he'd wrestle a bit more though. And Charlie Haas "puking" was just too much.
  3. Now that promo is awesome. Lovin' it lovin' it lovin' it. And "some shallow, pretentious straight-edge cocksucker" is a great description. Well, Zed is losing it. And again, I'll be very interested to see what happens after the next show...
  4. I like that promo. I like it a lot. And I will be VERY interested to see who wins out of Terrence and Kibs.

    Mordecai... offender of religion..

Wow. That's a little unfair. Here it is for you: sdpromo.mpg (9.04MB, 0:54) They showed it on the late version. So if any Brits wanna set their videos for the even later 2am show, it'll be on that too.

PROMO - Road Trip (Part two of two)

OK, that one amused me. Mortal Kombat is always good. Wouldn't have thought it was Coy's thing, but hey.

    Since Stone Cold's gone...

The Interrogation segment was awesome, Especially when RVD says that he's never heard Austin's watch say anything. That had me in stitches too. When Austin's interrogating the Alliance to find out who the traitor is, and everyone's scared or angry... except RVD, who's just confused. And it was Van Dam's delivery as well - he wasn't even really talking to Austin, just mentioning that he's never heard the watch talk... brilliant.

    Since Stone Cold's gone...

Excuse me? Austin, a man with a conviction for domestic assault due to drink, is given free rein to attack a female non-wrestler on a programme because she won't drink beer - and you don't see a problem with this? What's more, at that time Austin had been told that he couldn't attack ANYONE unless physically provoked. Everyone else he ever stunnered at that time had touched him in some way first. Stacy didn't. She just didn't want to drink the beer. So, the message is that it's OK for someone with a recognised drink problem to attack a woman because they don't like beer EVEN WHEN they have to have specific conditions met for them to lay a finger on anyone else. Even people who'd be able to defend themselves. Next week, Stacy comes out - and drinks beer. So the message now is that when a woman is attacked, she should correct her behaviour in order to not make the man attack her again. Austin at that time annoyed me anyway, but that one angle made me want to throw a brick through my tv. It was wrong on so many levels. Sure, don't use Stacy on tv - I find her attractive but if it came to it I'd rather see good wrestling on a wrestling show - I can find attractive women elsewhere. Fine, even have non-wrestlers attacked by wrestlers if you must - AS LONG as it is made clear that this is a BAD action. The WWE got away with the Dudleys putting Stacy through a table because JR and King sold it as a heinous act. When Austin stunnered Stacy, JR basically said "that's Austin!" - and that was that. No morals. Nothing to suggest that what we had just seen was wrong. Although there was never outright approval for it, the very lack of disapproval coupled with Stacy's actions the next week implied tacit approval.

    PROMO:Knowing Is Half The Battle

You mean unlike six weeks ago, when it consisted of Wild & Dangerous... and the House of Todd... and that was IT? Go with the promo-ing! Will be interesting to see how long this team holds together.

Uh-huh. That's the one. I'm not huge up on the whole technical wrestling aspect - that's why I'm a flippy-floppy cruiser. Besides, if I'd had Kibs go completely after the arm he'd have won...
  14. ShaneO and Jeff end up in a fight when Shane plays too rough. Who would I want to win? ..... It's a close one ..... I'll go with Jeff, cos he actually has SOME use.

    Austin offcially gone from WWE

Best. Fucking. News. This. Year. Seriously. I don't give a shit about whether Austin had control of his character or not - the way he came over on tv, whether his fault or creative's, was appalling. The Stone Cold character endlessly damaged the midcard, took up airtime pointlessly, annoyed the shit out of me... and had that whole thing with Stunnering Stacy FOR NO REASON which possibly infuriated me more than any other thing WWE has ever done. Yes, even necrophilia. I don't want that Stone Cold back. Ever. Bring him back as a commentator, sure. But unless his on-screen interaction with other talent is either as a wrestler or as a commentator, keep that bastard off my tv. *celebrates*

PROMO - Road Trip (Part One)

So... what happened to the General Lee Jnr? How can Coy be Coy without the wife and kids along? And most puissantly - what storyline did this promo advance? Alan hates Maddix. Coy dislikes Todd. We know that.

Good show, guys. Tryst's promo kicked ass - but Maddix is gold, so he won. Great to see another comeback though. DNS! NOOOOOOOOO!!! Um.. (thinking what came next) - yeah, I'm looking forward to beating (sorry, SEEING) Said in the ring. NEW US CHAMP! NEW CRUISER CHAMP! DACE WINS! (as if there was any doubt - this man's HARDCORE) Erm... I win! I'm pretty sure Kibs no-showed thru illness though. Which sucks. And..... MVS and Cortez are tag champs? Er... OK. Beginner's luck, I'm sure. Or half-beginner's luck? Or something.

    SWF LOCKDOWN CARD APRIL 14

If this means you're no-showing tonight Kibs - sorry to hear that. And I want a rematch sometime when you're better cos I'm curious to see if I actually could take you. get well soon.

    Rene Dupree...

Maybe not as a tag team. But you check out the Doug Basham vs Paul London match on the last Velocity and tell me he ain't ready to work a singles match. Cos that match was better than anythign Smackdown's had for a while. And I know Paul London was in it. But Basham had some good technical wrestling going on.

You should hear what they say about you. And incidentally, who said this was water? Why would I dilute my Coke caffeine and sugar fix? *slurp* I never mix my drinks.

PROMO - Late Late LATE SWF.net Exclusive

I'd like to point out that Mark Stevens never pinned me in that match, and it was in fact ME who left HIM lying afterwards courtesy of a Toxxic Shock Syndrome. *exits, muttering "they all laugh about me behind my back, you know!"*
  22. The scene: A bar, somewhere in Detroit A pint of Guinness is set down on the wood and some money changes hands. A large hand clasps the glass firmly and the black-and-white drink is brought up the to drinker's black-and-white face. The head tilts back further... further... until finally the glass in emptied and is replaced on the bar. Aecas - the Black Angel - wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and leans back on his stool with a contented grin. After a couple of months of trials, life is good again for the Unholy Trinity. Dace is winning again; Aecas and Terrence are Tag Team Champions; even their old friend Danny Williams is back; and Terrence has acquired a new prize just for himself... Beside his tag partner Terrence Bailey pours another shot of Jim Beam into his glass - the bottle is only a third full now, but it has had no apparent effect on the Anti-Heel Machine. Raising it to his lips the big Australian knocks back the shot without blinking an eye, then turns as Aecas rises from his seat. "Just going to the bathroom," Aecas says, and points at his glass. "It's your round... champ." Terrence grins and starts to pour again as the Black Angel disappears. He raises the shot glass again... and lowers it untouched, suddenly aware of eyes on him. Terrence isn't unfamiliar with the sensation, his huge size and oddly-coloured hair - not to mention the company he keeps - meaning that he attracts more than his fair share of curious looks. But this is a little different. Turning around slowly on his stool, the Anti-Heel Machine scans the bar for his observer... ...and finds him little more than three metres away. He's sitting at a table with a glass of Coke in front of him and staring right back at Terrence with dark-ringed eyes. Aware that he has been spotted, Toxxic picks up his glass and wanders over to the big Australian, absent-mindedly cracking his neck as he does so. "Toxxic," Terrence says, eyeing the straight-edger calmly. "Terrence," Toxxic replies coolly. "What brings you here?" the Anti-Heel Machine asks, gesturing at the rest of the smoky bar with one huge hand. "This place is hardly appropriate for... someone like you." "It's not," the Straight-Edge Sensation replies, glancing around with distaste. "But if I want to keep an eye on you, I have to go where you go." "And why are you doing that?" Terrence asks, cocking an eyebrow. "We've already had the match. Or have you forgotten?" "I'm not likely to forget," Toxxic responds, rubbing his left arm. "But you're wrong Terrence - we had a match; not the match. I mean to take my title belt back from you at some point, and in order to do that I need to know how you think." Terrence leans back against the smooth wooden surface of the bar, eyeing Toxxic an almost smile. There is an almost shadowy look in his eyes, however "Are you really sure you want to know?" he asks quietly, downing another shot of Jim Beam. "Trying to understand how I think is a dangerous game." "More dangerous that going up against you and Janus unprepared?" Toxxic counters. "I am going to get a rematch, Terrence, and this time I'm going to be ready for both of you. I'm confident that when I beat Kibagami, Zenon won't be able to deny me." Terrence is lifting the glass to his lips when Toxxic speaks, and he goes stock still at the Straight Edger's words. The glass twitches in his grip and makes an audible *crick*, a crack appearing near the rim. Unsure of the Anti-Heel Machine's change in demeanour, Toxxic takes a half stpe back. Slowly, Terrence lowers the glass, sliding it to the barkeep with an apology before turning back to Toxxic. "I request that you do not mention Nathaniel's name around me." he says with forced politeness. "There is a past between us I would rather forget." "OK... this must be something before my time," Toxxic replies, mentally filing the information away for future reference. "Of course, most stuff is..." "What makes you think you can beat Nathaniel?" Terrence continues. "He is known for being a very formidable opponent." "Who just lost to Alan Clark," Toxxic counters. "Coincidentally, the only man to ever pin me in the SWF. And do you remember what happened after I lost to Alan Clark, Terrence, or was I beneath your notice then?" "Remind me," Terrence murmurs, taking another sip of whisky from his new glass. "I beat a debutant called Aidan Redmond," Toxxic supplies. "Who?" "Exactly. For some reason, after I'd finished with him he never felt like turning up for another match." Toxxic takes a long swig of his Coke, then returns his gaze to Terrence's face. "I intend to bounce back from my loss to you in that circus sideshow that Stevens' was pleased to call a 'match' in a similar way." "Suppose you defeat your opponent. What makes you think you will be getting your rematch so soon?" Terrence asks. "Booking you in this match doesn't exactly show Zenon thinking highly of you." Toxxic grins suddenly, the lop-sided smile coming easily despite the pain in his arm, the ache in his head and the fact that he is facing only the second man to beat him in singles competition. "Because he listened to me. I told him that I don't care who I face, as long as it's a wrestling match." The straight-edger drains his glass and places it down on the bar with a *thunk*. "This will be a wrestling match. And when I've beaten my opponent I'm going to be coming back for what you took from me, and then we'll see how good a wrestler you are, Terrence." "I'll see you then." Terrence replies with a slight smile, and his tone hardens for a moment. "If the Silent One doesn't break your neck." Toxxic's smile disappears at that notion, but the ominous appearance of Janus has passed. "Just do me a favour, psycho boy, and don't lose my title before I come to claim it," the Straight-Edge Sensation bites out. Turning away he makes his way to the door, brushing aside startled customers as he goes. Terrence Bailey looks after him thoughtfully until he is interrupted by the reappearance of Aecas. "Was that Toxxic?" the Black Angel inquires, staring at the door. "Yes," Terrence replies, swigging Jim Beam from the bottle. "He wanted a word about the ICTV Title." "Little bastard," Aecas mutters. "I suppose he was as obnoxious as ever?" "Actually, he was fairly polite," Terrence responds. "Mostly." "Yeah, but he seems to have prevented you from getting me another drink," the Black Angel grumbles, and attracts the barman's attention - not difficult when you're seven-foot tall, have a black-and-white painted face and are accompanied by a man who's even bigger. Terrence hands over the money, and Aecas prepares to drink again - then stops and chinks his glass against Terrence's bottle. "Here's to Toxxic and Kibagami breaking each other's necks."

    OAO Heat Thread - 04/11/04

I find it amusing that although behind on all other broadcasts, the UK gets Heat on Sunday morning. We also get early 90s WCW on Thursday nights. You know, back when Paul E wasn't bald, Cactus Jack was in his prime, and Steve Austin had hair. And the slingshot suplex was a legitimate finisher. *looks at SWF folder* Sorry Goodear, were you saying something?
