The Bucs are about to go from "just win two games against crap teams and you're in" to OUT of the playoffs. HUGE fourth down conversion...and now they have turned into the Eagles Super Bowl team, just slowly walking to the line. Maybe they want a vacation?

Not only win the division, get a first round bye! That's not crazy, that's an insane turnaround.
-
Actually, isn't that a +1 in the win column? That's a gain, is it not? Plus, it's easier to go into the offseason saying, "We were at .500, there's a chance for next year." than, "Man, we had a losing record AGAIN?" Ask the Lions fans how that worked out the next year. The Lions went 7-9 last year after starting 6-2. What? Went from 3-13 to 7-9 to 0-15 possibly 0-16. Slow increases in wins don't mean a thing season to season in the NFL anymore. One offseason and you are either a good team or drizzling shits. I like what the Texans are doing but it's the same problems with them every year. They finally solved the running back problem but the line is still a questionable mess and consistent quarterback/secondary play is still there. It's the same issues year to year with them.

Christ, did Monte Kiffin already LEAVE for the year? The Tampa defense looks like absolute crap.

Somewhere the 1976 Bucs are watching the ice melt on their chilled champagne.

Old busted Cadillac Williams. And Tarv gets some confidence back, Vikings and Texans out to ruin the Bears and Broward's New Year. Why would it ruin his new year? He's a Texans fan. Cause his girl is going to go completely fucking insane. And judging from the way he's saying she's reacting, I'm not guessing he's in for a fun time when she explodes. Especially if his team is the one to knock them out.

Patriots are the first team today to do what they needed to do. All the others are still locked in fights for their lives. Day is looking better and better for the Cowboys and Eagles. Ain't that some scary shit?

So what defensive coordinator job or college job will Romeo Crennel be taking in 2009?
-
So who is the offensive coordinator of the Bills? Cause Fred Jackson has been ripping the Patriots for at least 3 yards a carry. So on fourth and one, needing the first down to have the field position to possibly drive for a touchdown...you pass an out route the Patriots are expecting? God, the play calling this week and the week against the Jets makes me question what the hell is going on in Buffalo. Also, god damn the wind just killed the Bills. Cassel punts it, it goes to the 11 and ROLLS to the one. Damn, the wind just absolutely brutal in this game. Tav Jackson turned back into Tav Jackson, picked in the end zone. Guess the confidence in him is going to sink. And Dan Dierdorf thinks the Jags are still in the playoff hunt and not the Ravens. Good job Dan.

Maybe he wants to impress the Vikings by kicking their asses out of the playoffs? Throw two more touchdowns and he might just do it. But yeah, I think he's better off being a back-up. The only options are the Vikings, Niners, and Lions. And two of those teams don't have an offensive line. And one of the two doesn't have an offensive line or receivers. And dammit Green Bay, you better not blow this for all of us. You are messing with perfection!

Isn't Carr on a one year deal? Guy has gotta be playing hard, he needs a team to give him a shot next year. And as great as Peterson is, it would be really nice if he would learn how to carry with two hands every once and a while.

Sammy Morris just stiff armed Donte Whitner so hard, he's still down on his back. Damn, he just became the football card photo.

We got 90 dollars in gift cards and ordered Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3 for 75 bucks tonight. We had to order from Walmart and it was 85 in stores but 75 online with site to store. She's going to visit her mom tomorrow anyway so I decided it would be chill to save 10 bucks and just wait on the game a bit. We thought about Rock Band but decided we had no urge to deal with the drums or any of the other instruments, plus I played the demo and didn't enjoy it as much as the Guitar Hero one. I'll probably get it online later next month just to get more songs and such but since the most recent game we purchased was DC vs MK, there has never been a need for online. Now we have a new issue. Does anyone have any idea which of the PS3 games with microphones is the best? She's going to get more cash from her mother and wants one of the games. So is Singstar worth a damn or is it pure horsecrap?

Ya know, I'm guessing the guy was in a nice state of "all women are monsters that need to be eliminated" so bang bang bye bye. I think I would have been more shocked if he didn't kill the 8 year old and try to take out everyone in the house.

It would be kinda sad if they fail to make the playoffs or win it all with this group. I'm not saying that will happen but if they do, Joe might as well pack his bag cause his ass will be fired from a cannon. You know, that's kinda cool of them on the 1923 deal. It gives those who won't be able to afford a ticket any time during the season a chance to take their kids to a game. The rest of the season the prices are going to be unbearably high to 9 to 5 working folks so it's rather bad ass of them for that deal. And against the Cubs no less, a series that would have equaled sell-out. I don't like what they are doing but I'm not going to pretend if the Cubs or Orioles were doing this that I'd be pissed. They signed the best pitcher and best first basemen they could get, filling two big holes with big guns.

If the Chargers win, that first round playoff game with the Colts will be a good one. If Denver wins, that first round game is going to be over by halftime cause Peyton will pick them apart while the Broncos have no answer.

Yes. The Eagles will need to win and have the Bears and the Bucs to lose to make the playoffs. It's entirely possible that both the Bears and the Vikings get into the playoffs I do believe. If the Bears win this week and next and the Bucs and Cowboys go down, the Vikings (with a win) and the Bears would be in while Dallas, Philly and Tampa would be dead out. Least I think that's right for the Bears now that the Eagles took a dump on the bed this week. I guess Tampa gets in with a win and Cowboys loss. The Vikings need to win to be in, it's pretty simple for them. On the AFC side, the Ravens need to win. AFC East is simple, the Jets need the Patriots to lose and a win over the Dolphins to grab it. Pats need a Jets win and a win of their own and the Dolphins just need to win. Patriots apparently get the wild card if the Ravens lose and they win. A win by the Ravens and Patriots means all the Jets can do is spoil the Dolphins hopes and drag the fins down with them. I really have no idea who holds the tiebreaker between the Ravens and the Jets.

Somebody is going to highly overpay for him and while he might be decent, he won't be anything like he was this season. I know that the Niners might not be interested anymore, having gained confidence in Shaun Hill. The Vikings might not even be looking anymore now that it appears Jackson finally developed. The Rams might be an option if they dump Marc Bulger but the list of teams looking for a quarterback really shrank. If Brett retires, I wouldn't be overly shocked to see the Jets in the hunt for him. But Brett won't retire, I'll know when Brett is going to retire. It's when Brett doesn't say shit about retiring is when he'll retire. He already had his teary eyed moment so he'll be back.
-
They play the Rams next week and Dallas plays the Eagles. But they have the Vikings this week and one loss and they give control right back to the Cowboys. If they beat the Vikings, they have to watch that Rams trap. The Rams are one of those teams you know should be a pushover but that might be one of those "if we aren't in, you aren't getting in" games.

Sum up version: Florida woman loses child, claims at the babysitter who apparently had no name, Cops think girl gone dead, search for body search for body, mommy doesn't act much like she cares and shows she is batshit looney tunes, grandparents claim girl alive, meter guy finds remains in bag, grandparents flip, mommy seems to not care, cops can't prove shit There, I think that's all the major shit. That's really all you need to know. And by the end of the case when it ends up being "Little girl dead, no one accountable for her death, Mommy gets to go party and be free and single again", you'll probably just be thinking "Fucking Florida".

I have a bad feeling that if the Cowboys get into the playoffs, they will win it all. I don't know why but it seems like every season it's a wildcard team that came in looking competitive but couldn't get all their ducks in a row before the playoffs. Dallas has that same confusion air about them where you KNOW they can be nearly unstoppable when they are rolling. It's just when they aren't playing well, they look like a team that would struggle to beat the Lions. We know that defense can get to the quarterback and those long runs had a lot to do with guys missing their assignments on defense or failing to make the tackle. The secondary getting thrown around by McClain was interesting to watch but it also shows that it's something they can fix with being in the right place at the right time and then making the right decision on where to tackle. The Falcons have a tough tough schedule here going up to the final week and Dallas still holds some cards if the Falcons lose. Course McNabb and Reid would probably love nothing more than to stick it to T.O and knock him out of the playoffs while putting themselves in. But the road is not impossible for them and they are a scary six seed.

That was a really big ouch. John, Joe, Ray and the Ravens are in the playoffs. And hats off the Derrick Mason, that guy showed he has some big balls to keep going out there and ripping his shoulder out of socket. Now he should SIT next week cause they don't need him. As for Dallas, AGAIN they need help after controlling their destiny twice this season. I guess they just love being the underdog. ETA: Nevermind, I guess they aren't in yet. NFL Network confused the hell out of me with that graphic.
