Actually, Glacier already made a triumphant return in Chikara Pro WHAT?!?! AW DAMMIT! I didn't hear anything ABOUT that! And Glacier wasn't bad, he was awesome. And so where the American Males. They had the gayest promo video in the history of wrestling but how could anyone not like the clap? It was a sad night for me being at the Nitro where Buff joined the NWO and ended the Males. A sad night.

McCain: Instead of emergency room, go to Wal-Mart
2GOLD replied to CuddlyKnife's topic in Current Events
Worse actually, since they can pick and choose what you do and don't need instead of the doctor and yourself. But honestly, the government hasn't proved they can handle small stuff with quickness so I don't see why anyone would believe they could handle this. Asking a government that is screwed up to take over an industry that is screwed up just leads to ten times as many screw ups. -
Mongo is back? Great, one step closer to Glacier and the American Males!

I think the fandom sometimes tends to get very arrogant when things are going well. That and it's the constant "This is the year" into "Wait til next year" attitude that is pissing off people. As for this team, I really don't know. It's like EVERY year they turn into...the damn Cubs. The Dodgers honestly I think were the absolute WORSE draw for the Cubs because all season it was obvious if the Dodgers had offense that they could have crushed them. Now the Dodgers have offense and they are crushing them. Honestly, I think they are dead. Not because I am giving up on them, but because they are showing no signs of a pulse. It's the Arizona series re-visited. First game it was piss poor pitching and HORRIBLE swinging by the batters. Game two, it's the defense and the offense again. They are playing like a team absolutely shell shocked themselves and shell shocked usually means DONE in any sport. The Dodgers have a team that can win it all offensively, defensively, pitching and even speed. They are just really god damn good. I'd say this is a nightmare but sadly, it's not. It's the Cubs MO and truthfully, I don't know what the hell can be done. They form a good team, they fail. They form a team built around the farm system, they fail. They buy high priced free agents for a spark, they fail. It's not a curse, it's a mindset and this team and the FANS cannot break out of it. Wrigley sounded DEAD in game 1, like they weren't waiting to see the Cubs win but waiting to see how they would fall apart. Game 2, they had already gave up and the team went with em. Maybe the Dodgers fans can wake them up but I don't know. The Dodgers are really really damn good. Even if the Cubs somehow manage to take two in LA (which I think Harden and Lily can do), I don't know who would go in game five. Was Ryan's start a fluke or a sign he has reverted back to his Destructive Dumpster ways? Big Z has gone mental and I don't know if he can handle this. And Harden I don't think can go on three days rest, in fact I wouldn't even risk it. Maybe the Cubs need to stop winning the NL Central? That way they avoid the NL West entirely since apparently they OWN the Cubs in the playoffs. Sorry I'm just really disappointed, this really bites. I want them to at least wake up and put up a fight, not go six lifeless playoff games.

Who now?

Blindness doesn't turn ordinary people into monsters? Jesus Christ, Black Friday sales can turn ordinary people into monsters so I damn well KNOW waking up not being able to see would turn quite a few into monsters. It's such crap, like people who find out they are blind after seeing for decades are totally cool with the transition. Yes, the ones who grew up with it with a supporting family and group might have been able to deal. But the entire WORLD going blind? Who is going to keep you calm and help you realize it's not all over? Answer: NO ONE!

Dammit! I wanted New England vs San Fran! Mine and my ladies favorite teams going head to head in a battle of the Who's quarterback looks lost the most. Instead, Dallas AGAIN. God, I can't seem to escape those f'n guys. Every frickin week, Dallas Dallas Dallas.

So nice to see the Cubs of old return for the playoffs...AGAIN! You know what, my dad made a point that it always looks like the entire Cubs team is pressing and he's right. They were chasing everything out of the zone, Dempster was overpitching like crazy and it was just an overall disaster. Not to take away from the Dodgers cause they HAMMERED the Cubs but god damn, they always ALWAYS play like a team that pretends they don't think about the 100 years without a title but are reaallllllly thinking about it. It's not over but if they play like this again, I want it over in two.

I had that moment safely blocked from my mind. Thanks for bringing up another "Cub Memory". And Fuko almost had another one but nice recovery. Looking like the Ryan Dempster of old with the walks...that ain't good.

He'd never be able to handle Davis not using his first round draft choice on a receiver. Which oddly enough, they would need. That would be kinda ironic.

Hey, a Cub player hit the ball. It's already different from last post season.
-
Man, that was a bad time for Bill Hall to get embarrassing with a swing. Good job getting out of that jam in the sixth by Hamels. I am just waiting for this game to get to the bullpens, then it's going to get exciting.

So, who is the next Raiders coach after Al fires this new guy by the end of the season?

McCain: Instead of emergency room, go to Wal-Mart

Not the ones they were having me fill out. It was basically like a questionnaire of what was wrong, how long had it been happening and the like. The insurance ones were simple and pretty straight forward, these were hospital related crap to supposedly help the doctors and nurses better treat you. Then they just end up asking the same questions at the pre-entry section, then it's another long wait before FINALLY entering to see a nurse who once again ask the exact same shit followed by the doctor some 30 to hour later who once again asks the same questions. Honestly, even if the forms are all for insurance, the ER is probably the biggest waste of time if you are really sick and need medical attention. Doesn't matter the time of day or night either, it's just really inefficient and overall bad. -

Considering how well some ERs work, you probably WOULD be better off just going to Walmart and bleeding to death in the candy aisle. At least then you can die with a bag of twizzlers instead of die reading an old Sports Illustrated while filling out the 29th form that no one bothers to read it seems. -
Haven't the Red Sox made the Angels their bitch in every single playoff match-up between the two lately? I really don't see a reason for me to believe the Boston won't do it to them again. Something about when these two match-up is screwy, maybe the different and slightly weakened Boston staff will make a difference. Seems like every time I think the Angels will put up a fight against the Red Sox and the Red Sox just destroy them.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
2GOLD replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
It just sucks that every plan they will come up with depends on the American public not doing anything stupid. But to get the economy back, they have to spend. To spend, they'll need to either have a job that allows them to afford bills, food, housing payments as well as luxuries or they will need to build up a massive credit bill. Then a lot of them will get in over their heads again, get another loan they can't afford and repeat the process. Then people like Cheech and tons of the rest of us will be screwed as it all collapses in on itself. I really want to know what ever happened to "Bad credit? No credit? Well f*ck you a*shole!" method of money lending. And yes, I do support the bailout now because I know we have no other option. Just not very confident in this Jenga style of fixing the problem. -

In short, a bunch of people fucked up and now we are all fucked. This is looking like one of those "we're fucked either way, pick which end of the stick you want up your backside" deals. -
Growing Pains died when Boner left. The end. And Full House, wow did that show turn out a mess of kids. Still though, the former meth addict has some nice big ones now so good on her. I just discovered Saw V and High School Musical 3 are released on the same day. Saw is totally finishing a distant second that weekend now.

Wow, to think USC moved to #1 because they hammered VA. Now the Blue Devils are hammering them. I thought the Cavs were supposed to be new and improved this year? Touchdown Ole Miss...guess Houston Nutt's team is going to let another one slip away in the fourth quarter.
-
I wonder how many Tampa Bay folks will even bother to show up? At least the Marlins fans did a nice little bandwagon show up for the series.
-
So they used my slow motion pretzel choke idea. Does that mean Val Kilmer as Bill made the film as well? I'm crossing my fingers.
-
Man, that was a hard loss for Louisville. Losing on an interception return for a touchdown, just brutal way to go down. Now UCONN is 5-0 for the second straight season.

Maybe he thinks they are taking a more psychotic Metallica stance in you have to buy the album each time you want to listen to it, otherwise you are stealing? And sadly, this pretty much confirms I won't be getting it. After Best Buy royally screwed us on a laptop repair, we decided we aren't given them anymore business.

Ohio State still looks like they don't know what to do against a team with speed and USC still looks like they don't know what to do when a team actually hits them. Neither deserve to be in but one of them probably will since Ohio State is already prepared with their "our running back was hurt" story. Of course, needing Wells to destroy Ohio really doesn't seem like a good case for a National Championship bid but alright. Looking like SEC vs Big 12 again. At the end though I was really hoping for a USC comeback just to stick it to the stupid fans for AGAIN rushing the field. I'm really tired of major conference teams rushing the field for beating a team in conference action, regardless of the ranking. Especially a team that finished 9-4 last season ranked 25th in the damn nation. I'm just waiting for the day when Michigan fans rush the field for beating Ohio State.
