I agreed with him. Runners on first and second with no outs? Bunt them to second and third instead of risking a young hitter hitting into a double play. Dubois struck out so now it's one out. Burnitz breaks the tie with a RBI double. I'll give Jeremy credit, he actually looks like he finally got into the shape he lost when he went to NY. I'd like Kasper if he showed excitement that seemed real. The guy is just too mono-tone, even on big hits. He sounds like he is constantly reading a script and not doing play by play.
-
Does Len Kasper have emotions? Dr. Spock gets louder than this guy. Jason Dubois has a two run single and Kerry Wood has six k's as the Cubs lead 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth. Kapono (spelling) has retired 10 straight Cubs though so he is cruising as well for the Brew Crew.

Alabama Gov looses support of 'Confederate' voters

Delaware was proof to many that the war really wasn't about slavery since you're right, the state remained in the Union and actually fought the Proclamation for an additional two years. The slavery issue just became the straw that broke the back of the Southern states since the North and South had been arguing since 1776. The Northern states didn't give a damn about the slaves, they just didn't like the South was making more money using free labor. It would have been nice if the reason Lincoln called for an end to slavery was pure, but it wasn't. The North was losing so many soldiers on a weekly basis and they needed helped. The answer? Offer freedom to the slaves. Remember, in the early revolutionary war the southern states offered slaves freedom for fighting against the British and the fear in the Union was the Confederate Congress was preparing to do this again to make up for their own losses. So Lincoln cut them off, even though the Confederate Congress never had any intention of offering slaves freedom for battle although Lee had tried to convince them they would win the war with such a move. Nothing about the Civil War was cut and dry. Had the Civil War not happened, slavery would have lasted for at least another 50 years or more since the Northern states would have again yielded on that had the south surrendered levels of state rights. The slavery card that started the war was just the final button the Northern states wanted to push. It was a power play and the southern states called the bluff. -

Delaware was so weird that this state split into two armies. One was a Confederate Army and the other was a Union army. This state truly had no clue which side it was on in the Civil War. Half the state supported state's rights and the other half supported a completely stable union with government having majority control. Literally confused Delaware was. -

Keep in mind by the end of the war, the generals and soldiers found out why their Confederate Congress wanted the war to continue and organized a treaty amongst themselves. When the Generals found out that this really had nothing to do with state's rights by that time (which it really didn't by the end), they went against the wishes of the Confederate Congress and called an end to this. The real monsters were the Confederate Congress, which basically lied to their soldiers and generals for years by claiming it was 100% a state's rights issue when by the time the war was closing the Congress just wanted to keep their low cost labor. Few people realize that if this was truly 100% about slavery, the war would not have ended where it ended. The War didn't end where everyone thinks it did, it nearly restarted when Lincoln was shot. The Confederate Congress (who was literally RUNNING for their lives) wanted to march on Washington with what was left of the Confederate Army and the Generals wanted NOTHING to do with the plan. If they truly wanted to keep slavery, they could have easily marched on a disorganized Washington when Lincoln was shot. The real enders of the Civil War weren't the Union Army, it was really the Southern Army's Generals not wanting to go ahead with the plan. They basically revolted against their own Confederate Congress at the end. -
Nah. If he was REALLY smart, he'd release the movies in their original form, NOW, since everyone already bought the re-done ones, and SW geeks would buy them again anyway. No, he will release eight more special edition sets and then he'll tease the original set each time. The SW fans will act upset but they will keep shoveling out the money for the special editions so they don't upset George and risk losing their original edition set. Lucas isn't stupid. He knows he could hire a large staff of people to just take dumps in a box, label it Chewbacca droppings with a Star Wars logo and the fans would sell it out in minutes.

I have a two part question about the monster in the closet story #1: What police officer would buy it? I mean seriously, there has got to be a cop out there looking for a real killer or still investigating the parents #2: If your child gets eaten by the closet, isn't it time to MOVE?

Politicians pointing out the flaws of other Politicians is like serial killers pointing out other serial killers for stealing pudding. They are all the same, they just like to pretend that other guy is worse. Hearing that corruption might exist in Washington, DC, for either party just means that it's a day that ends in Y.

With Velocity gone this fall, what are they going to do with him? If he goes to RAW, who is he going to wrestle? Tijaria is the tag team champion with Regal. I'd be excited about this if I knew the WWE was going to take the handcuffs off the lightweights and let them do what they do best.

Brock is tall. And not a former ECW/WCW worker.

The WWE is a big fan of pottery. Vince had to be held all night long when he heard that a sweet and innocent pot was gone from this world because of one of his workers. Well, he had to be told he was a worker for the company first and then he was even more torn up. Look for the WWE to sign the vase after it recovers from its injuries. It'll replace Maria as Raw interview segment host. No one will ever know the difference, as both are top-heavy, hollow, and have been banged around by wrestlers. No, not Maria. We need Maria. She orgasms when beat up! You can't find talent like that! Now then, the pot can replace Jerry Lawler. Not like anyone would notice a difference there, cept the pot won't be cruising for eighth graders at WWE live events.

Oddly enough, that is probably what George told A-Rod after the game while Torre just shrugged his shoulders and made sure his check was signed.

Yeah, the Mariners acquired Bret Boone and Ichiro Suzuki, and the Rangers managed to pull together a decent bullpen. It's no secret that Rodriguez performs voodoo curses in order to doom his own team's bullpens. Someone call Jobu, take fear from pitchers in bullpen and gloves. And get A-Rod a live chicken! A Major League reference, and no Roger Dorn comment? I'm ashamed. I thought about it, but it would have been an insult to Roger Dorn. He deserves better than that.

Why hasn't the Breast Cancer society sued the t-shirt companies who make the pink "Yes, they're real" shirts? This is stupid, they don't own the rights to the color pink. It's a weak version of the color red because they are the weak versions of the Tide. Too much Tide in a red jersey, you get pink. This is just silly.

Actually, this last one was blown by A-Rod who couldn't field a routine grounder. Rivera has lost some jump on his fastball and it's hurting him cause that was one of his great strengths. And when that fastball starts to slow down, he becomes very hittable. But over? No chance in hell.

I don't know what you mean by lacking in believability but I always thought of Rhyno as the kind of guy you could see beating the fuck out of a guy in front of a strip club. He's plenty believable as a badass to me. Rhyno is a guy I think I'd be visibly worried what he could do. That guy is massive up close and personal. He may not be tall, but his damn thigh muscle is wider than most females. When he gets going, it is very believable.

Which leaves the World Champion where? On Smackdown it can work cause they have the time to go around. RAW doesn't have the time with Triple H and the midcard and Batista to even consider something like that. Smackdown, yeah I can see it and it would work well if they don't botch it. As long as he plays middle of the field and just eliminates at random. Until eventually, one of them catches him with a move and they make some kind of agreement "Contract vs career" match. If he wins, he gets a WWE contract but if he loses then he can never be in the wrestling business for as long as the WWE decides. And with Lesnar, you actually can't predict how that one would end.

I COMPLETELY disagree. That's the only reason why Benjamin *is* getting cheered. When he's in the ring, he can connect to the fans very well. Exceptionally well even. He has no personality, definite angle/gimmick (directionless IC Title reign doesn't count) or very good mic skills. If he wasn't able to connect with the fans, there would be no way he'd be getting any reaction right now, which he certainly is. He might connect with the fans in certain towns but overall I hardly see anyone caring about Shelton's IC reign. Why should they? He defends the title MAYBE once a month. The company doesn't care about the title so why should the fans? The title is so important it wasn't even important enough for it to have it's own match at Wrestlemania. And the last few PPV matches for the IC title were slapped together jobs like against Maven, who has now fallen almost off the face of the Earth. The fact Shelton even gets a reaction is a god damn miracle.

The WWE lawyers should be the writing staff. They come up with more interesting crap than the professionals do. I expected to read the Chewbacca defense in their statement.

The sad thing is he was over again when he teamed with Tijaria and the crowd actually wanted them to win the tag titles. And what did the WWE do? Abandoned the tag team and sent Rhyno back to square one. Paul Heyman is the only one who knows how to do anything with Rhyno. Not to mention the WWE can't like that his GORE looks much more impressive than that weak hug that Edge uses.

Stupid suggestion/question What are the odds of a White Zombie reunion?

The WWE could bring back the ECW title and have it change hands till they are blue in the face. The last ECW World champion will always be Rhino. WWE's version of ECW isn't ECW. It wasn't ECW during the Invasion and it won't be ECW if they bring it back. Too much money spent on a the light budget for it to be ECW.
