He's done this for the past two seasons and maybe the best thing for his career was to move on and see if someone else can advance his development. Didn't give him away for peanuts so that is fine by me. Had they given him away for basically nothing, I'd had been pissed. I didn't like his work, but he had flashes of excellence so giving him away for scraps would have been stupid.

Rock probably made more money doing three movies than he did his entire career in the WWE while not killing himself and getting more time with his family. This decision is a lay-up. He has charisma, he's friends with major Hollywood players, his movies have had moderate success and at the very least have made back the investments studios made on him. His choice is, easiest job in the world where he gets paid more and gets more family time....or risk serious damage to his face, neck, back, knee while barely getting to see his family for less money. If this was him choosing between TNA's more money and the WWE, I'd call him insane for picking TNA. This isn't anything like that. He no longer needs wrestling at all.

For what it's worth, Chris Mortenson of ESPN mentioned earlier in the season that San Diego has a lot of cap room, so Rivers/Brees isn't as big a deal as it might be for some teams. They could very well keep both. That's not going to happen. Drew Brees isn't Jon Kitna, he's not going to just sit there when a couple of teams are looking at him to be their quarterback. They have to pick, Rivers or Brees. Cause neither is going to accept just sitting on the bench.

I'm fine with players leaving, just don't use the bull excuse of, "I need to feed my family". That's a damn insult to people who are actually STRUGGLING to feed their families.
