As much as I dislike the execution and some of the policies, I'll give the administration props if this works out 10 years down the road. Not to mention if it works out, and it appears like it has a solid chance then no soldier died in vain. Essentially, they died to protect liberty and democracy. Hopefully if all goes well, those who died have a small momument placed either in this country or maybe if Iraq agrees a combo momument that honors all the soldiers of all the countries inside Iraq. Screw it, I'll admit it. I'm proud to have supported this.

You know what's awesome? Even with threat of death, Iraq managed to outdo us in turnout rate. It probably wasn't a situation of her letting it go so much as she was stubborn and probably ignored doctor's orders. He doesn't care. The Super Bowl is the big time, and he might never get back. It is the job of the Eagles to tell him they can't afford a career ending injury and need him next year. If Reid lets him play, he is making a big mistake. His job depends on more than just one game. If TO shatters his leg in a game that they probably won't win anyways, and the Eagles go 7-9 next year, is Reid going to be in a good position? Did the Eagles go 7-9 in the three previous years before T.O. when they were in the NFC Championship? No. Was T.O. on the field when the Eagles won the championship this year? No. You can only lose so many high-profile games before management gets tired of you. Example: Tony Dungy. I think Reid is safe and sound but someone really needs to think about Owens. I may dislike him but seeing his career end is not on my list of things to see during the Super Bowl. The Eagles can be back next year, with T.O., no sweat. And they can win the game without him. There is no need for them to risk Owens and Owens isn't thinking about his health right now at all.

I'm sorry, but Cleveland being 25-17 in the East doesn't impress me as much as going 35-10 in the West does. With Nash, the Suns were in line to get the #1 seed in the West. Without him, they lost #1 to the Spurs very quickly. The Suns are downright horrible without Nash, the drop is just way too significant. The West is still the tougher conference, hell the record the Cavs have would be sixth in said conference. Lebron may be the best player in the league, but he's not the MVP. The Suns were on base to torch the NBA when Nash wasn't hurt. It should be a very close vote though and hopefully Nash gets his credit.

Hairston would give the Cubs speed and Jorge Julio would give them added depth in the bullpen. Not to mention Julio has experience at the closer position, which the Cubs have been begging for. Hairston can step into left while right goes to Hollandsworth I guess. Not crazy about the outfield but having someone who can MOVE on the base path is a plus. Meanwhile, the Orioles get the extra bat they wanted but I don't like the fact they gave up anyone from the bullpen. If Sammy can actually go back to being Sammy and not the angry pissed off bad swinging outfield he was for the Cubs last season then the Orioles might make out like bandits. I think the move works fine for both teams. It addresses the Cubs needs (speed and bullpen) and it addresses one of the Orioles needs (big bat). If it happens, I'm fine with it.
