Umm...that probably wasn't the smartest idea. And admitting it was probably even stupider. Still though, if you are really shocked that MTV is going to put their own spin on your story then I'd like to sell you this wall in China.

Batista has a natural charisma about him and that is one of the biggest keys. He sounds very relaxed when they give him the mic on RAW, the man has style down packed, and for a hoss he does have reasonable speed. If I had to choose between him, Randy Orton, and even Chris Jericho then I'm picking Batista. I could give a flying damn if he is against Triple H, the guy has a charisma about him that translates very well in my opinion. Batista should be allowed to cut an in-ring promo before he is said to not have the staying power. Right now he does have many of the key Rock elements, he is relaxed when in front of the camera, he has natural charisma that actually MAKES me want to pay attention when he is in the ring (unlike 90% of the damn roster), and his moveset may be basic but so far it has been a believable one. He's not going to be a Rock or Hogan or Lesnar or Austin because that era is dead and buried. The days of the non-scripted promo are history. Only a few people in the company look more relaxed in front of a camera than Batista. Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The rest of the roster acts very stiff when put on screen, even in "taped" promos. I'm waiting on the in-ring promo before I judge but if I that goes well, I'm sticking to my guns that I'm a fan of Batista. I haven't left my belief that Randy Orton is the most uncharismatic main eventer since Lex Luger was chasing Yokozuna.

How dare you compare Ed Wood to Uwe Boll... Ed deserves better than that. At least Ed's movies were so bad they are funny. Boll's movies aren't even funny bad. ETA: Oh...you really didn't compare them. Damn, I need to read more often.

"Chicago" started in 1924 or so as a Broadway play that was soon turned into a silent movie. It didn't become a musical of any kind until sometime later. The musical version didn't hit Broadway til 1974-75 and that came well before the film "Chicago" in 2002 I think it was. Just to clear up: Chicago was a movie before it was a musical.

Whoa whoa whoa.... I can get ALL the FSN??? Please explain.

For the time I thought it was ok, but nothing to get excited or even scared by. It was just decent.

Wow, Chris Rock summed up my thoughts on The Aviator perfectly. That film is nice and all, but I saw nothing there that made me say "wow, this deserves an Oscar nomination for Leo." And if Foxx loses, I hope Rock rips into the Academy on stage. Just shreds them. He knows he will never see a nomination so I hope he just pulls them apart.

And of course "NO!.....NO!.....The Cardinals have knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs!" Oh and this one: "Manning drops back to pass....throws right and....intercepted by Ty Law (in the background you hear "YOU STUPID PIECE OF...it gets garbled but it made me laugh)."

Our little group of people here went dead silent when Cowher kicked the field goal. No one could understand if he had a working brain cell anymore. And are the Patriots the only team where the offensive and defensive coordinators are down on the field?
-
"And....GOOOOOD! BULLS WIN! BULLS WIN!" Seriously, you can't get through a segment featuring Jordan without seeing him burn poor Craig Ehlo.

After just hearing it in the background for 5 minutes, I snapped my pen in half and yelled, "SHUT UP YOU STUPID MONKEY!" and turned off the television. That show just causes me great rage. I'm almost certain it could turn me into the Incredible Hulk if I watched it for a half hour.
-
Why couldn't they go after Dora the Explorer. God that show was on in the background one day and I suddenly had the urge to harm a bus full of nuns. That show made me doubt the existance of any higher power.

The Patriots have one flaw in their defense: Running quarterbacks. However, McNabb would rather stay in the pocket than run the QB draw. It should be interesting but I really don't understand blowout picks from either side. The Eagles offense hasn't shown anything to indicate they will blow out the Pats defense and the Patriots offense has only shown flashes of having the ability to do it. This game will come down to which defense forces the most turnovers. And two key questions #1: Do the Patriots have anyone to block Trotter when he blitzs? My answer is no, Fauria suffers from falldown alot and Graham is very inconsistent. That will really kill the New England offense #2: Can the Eagles get a drive against a defense that doesn't miss tackles? No, and the Steelers proved that one. I don't see a blowout but I do see one hell of a tight high scoring contest cause you can just throw all of the above crap out the window. McNabb and Westbrook do what they can, but I'll pick New England 27-24.

If you're in the Philly media market then I suggest not watching any local news for the next 2 weeks then. It's already started on FOX. God help me this is going to be annoying. I don't mind "RAH RAH RAH", cause that is just being a fan and that is totally acceptable. I really HATE that "YOUR TEAM SUX!!!" bull that you have to deal with. Granted being near Boston, it's probably the same on Eagles fans but it gets sad.
-
My question is...why not? Why be a fan, and not talk great about your team? Most fans don't go, 'ummm..yea, they did good.' No, pissing contest as in "GOD YOU GUYS TOTALLY SUCK! WE ARE TEH BEST!!!" Talking good about the team is great, but it's much more fun when it's just a good discussion with people acting like adults and not drunken twits. I'll be dealing with that in real life for the next two weeks. I'm stuck in the Delaware-PA region so I've got *sshole Eagle fans (not ALL Eagles fans just to be clear) to deal with all week.
-
I really think that people underestimate the Eagles just because they are in the NFC. I think it's going to be a great game and I'm looking forward to it. Should be a battle between two very good football teams and franchises. Regardless of how many Super Bowls the Eagles made, they have always been just on the outside. Now they are in and I expect one hell of a game.
-
Is it too much to ask that the Pats and Eagles fans don't get into a pissing contest over the next two weeks?
-
"What the hell is this thing? A paper weight....here Tom, you take it. I'm in for the big score"
-
I don't know, the last 2 Patriots SuperBowl games have been great. Pats weren't in back to back Super Bowls.
-
Agreed man. Ben just had a bad game and I think they really need to examine his thumb more closely now. Oh great, Joe...this might be interesting.
-
That about sums up the last 2 games for the Patriots. And if the last two games are any sign, they are going to destroy the Eagles. Nah, New England doesn't destroy teams. And they always make the Super Bowl too damn exciting...TOO damn exciting.

You know, as much as I hate show boating....that one made me chuckle. The Miss America wave with the towel, I laughed. Reminded me of Shannon Sharpe calling for the National Guard when the Broncos crushed the Patriots a few years ago. I didn't like it, but it made me laugh.

I'll agree when he starts catching the ones he touches. I love he bats them down but sometimes, gotta grab em.
-
God, it's times like these I wish the NFL had booked a name act for halftime of this game. Just to hear them booed out of the stadium. I don't count the Steelers out though. I never count anyone out of any game until the final whistle blows. It's close to being called but not yet. Three touchdowns still isn't impossible, even against the Patriots.

Call Dish Network. You should have either a Fox Sports Net station or a Comcast Sports Net station. Whether or not it carries IMPACT! (they should, but still) is another question.
