Ok....they may be great in a few years, but for now they would leave a hole the size of Asia in the line-up. They trade Sosa, they need to replace him with a solid bat.
-
Just curious...what do the Cubs have besides Sosa if they deal him? The outfield would be Corey Patterson and...what exactly? Unless the Cubs are 100% sure, without a shadow of a doubt, that they can sign Carlos Beltran or someone rather big to step in and fill the offensive hole left by getting rid of Alou and Sosa then I don't see the point.

I don't even see the big deal with steriods anymore. Jeremy Giambi wasn't a great hitter. Jason Giambi never approached the homerun seasons of McGwire and Bonds. There is tons more to hitting than home run power so I still don't bat an eyelash. Steriod scandal just makes for selling lots and lots of magazines and papers. Most sports writers really don't care either. As for the Washington deal, I'm not one bit shocked it's going to be crooked. I expected it to be.

Dave does anything that gets him a steady paycheck. And he'll gladly admit he does anything that gets him a good paycheck. Hell, the man was in "Con Air" for god sake.

If Carrey doesn't get the nod this year, I don't think he'll ever get one. That would be three great performances that went WAY to the left of what he usually does that get ignored. I always felt an actor showing range is what the Academy should recognize and a comedic actor showing off major drama chops should be what the Academy awards. When do the Academy lists get announced? I know it's sometime after the Golden Globes.
-
Unbelievable. Why? Those three are outstanding.

If Foxx gets the nod, Carrey is screwed. Plus Foxx more than likely will get a nod for Collateral so they will probably skip him for the Best Actor Oscar Nod. Which would be criminal but I can see them doing it to him. Johnny Depp is the new Tom Hanks to the Academy, so he'll get the nod. Don Cheadle will probably get a nod for Hotel Rwanda. Liam Neeson will get one. Paul Giamatti will get one. Leo will get one for his work on Aviator. I can't see a way for them to put Carrey in the five. Even though he gave a defining dramatic performance but oh well. The five, I think, should be: Paul Giamatti Jamie Foxx Jim Carrey Liam Neeson Leonardo DiCaprio Any list that doesn't include Carrey AND Foxx is bull.

Hello 20% pay raise for the writers of the line. Hello unemployment line for Ivory. The WWE: Hey, least we don't kill!

It's funny. But Frankenstein's Monster sells that show for me.

Needed too, Passion was boring. And looks like Jim Carrey is headed for snubbed ville AGAIN by the Academy. This will be the third performance where I felt, and so did many others, that Jim Carrey should get a damn Oscar nod. Not saying he should win, but for god sake he deserves a nomination! Truman Show- snubbed Man on the Moon- he was the only positive and he was Andy, snubbed Eternal Sunshine- he's not getting the nod. And it looks like Jamie Foxx is headed for snubbville as well. Damn, the Academy is going to blow this badly.

Far as I'm concerned, Christmas Eve is about the dead guy. The morning I cared about as a child didn't have to do with the dead fellow, as nice as he may have been. It's nothing more than the Winter Festival. Tree, fat guy in a red suit, presents, ham and lots of egg nog or apple cider.

Scissors? IN SCHOOL! Surely you jest. I blame everyone involved for just being stupid. Well, not the daughter and mother but the school and police.

I still say the Bills finish 10-6 this season. I don't see where they need to do much of anything next year but strengthen the offensive line and nab a solid back-up tight end/ running back. Maybe get a little younger on defense.

With NE the team was without Corey Dillon, Tyrone Poole, Deion Branch, Troy Brown, and they lost Ty Law in the first 4min of the game. I think its safe to say injuries played a good part of the Pats losing that game, and for the Pats to score as much as they even did says something. Players or not, the Steelers had the Pats in that game. It would have been much closer with them but I think Pittsburgh had the field and momentum. The rematch, if it happens, is going to be one hell of a game though. Hopefully it's the AFC title game.

Agreed, that song suffered from massive overplay. I would have included "Take me Out" by Franz, but that damn song actually gets catchy if you listen to it more than three times. It's the reverse; the more I heard it the more I could stand it and then I liked the damn thing.

I decided to answer my own question because of a double post. The last Heisman winner whose team won the National title? Charles Woodson, 1997 So there you go Dama, some good news. The Heisman has been bad luck in a title game the last few years. Jason White, crushed by LSU Eric Crouch, crushed by Miami Chris Weinke, slammed by Oklahoma.
-
Why didn't Champ Bailey get into the running the final year he was in college? Never did understand that. I don't know. Why did Eric Crouch win? Cause Nebraska had already been selected for the National Title game and the only way to save face was to make the least deserving squad look even remotely appealing with the Heisman Trophy winner. Course all it turned into was the Heisman Trophy winner getting punked out for the second straight season in a bowl game. Here is a question: Who was the last Heisman Trophy winner whose team went on to win the National Championship?

Mississippi fired their head coach for DENNIS ERICKSON??? Why? Are they looking to sink to the bottom of the SEC like a rock?
-
I'll say between 35 and 40 million for Snicket but I can see it getting between 45 and 50 as well. I'll go 39 million.

Bledsoe is actually an outstanding QB when he has a decent running back and a tight end who can catch. His best seasons came around the same time Ben Coates excelled. When Coates left, it seemed Bledsoe hit a wall since none of the tight ends they replaced Coates with could catch a cold let alone a football. He still got the Pats into the Super Bowl and you could say his last stand as a Patriot got them in as well.

I just love how the AD and the President were claiming they had nothing to do with the firing of Willingham. I guess a magic Notre Dame fairy appeared and fired him for them. When the two people in charge of the program claim neither fired the coach, then yes I believe something is rotten at the Golden Dome.

Wow, Eli isn't learning a thing by starting him this year. 3/11, 21 yards and two INTs. They need to bench him. Not for his performance but to save his life. At least if Kurt Warner gets killed you don't LOSE anything.

He can walk on water, turn water into wine but can't seem to have a good wrestling match. Guess even the powers of God have limitations.

Damn, horrible opening for "Blade Trinity". Should have came out the week before instead of against "Ocean's 12"
