The Michigan loss really ruined the night for the BCS. In a game that if Michigan wins, the voters may have jumped the Wolverines over Utah and knocked Utah out of the hunt. Now IF Utah wins, the BCS has no choice but to include them in the selection process. Course, they can still leave them out for Texas, which I still 100% expect them to do anyway.

Then fine, the NBA needs to also do something to protect their players. Not handcuff their players and say, "no, they are allowed to do that. Take it like a man." The NBA is full of it. They do nothing to protect their players and they are quick as humanly possible to hug the fans and say, "it's ok, the bad man shouldn't have done what any rational human would do...ssssh, it's ok, we'll get you a team jersey."

He should accept someone had the possible intent of ending his basketball career and blinding him for life. Assault is assault. Period. Artest made a citizen arrest on his attacker, it was that simple.

The security guard, when interviewed and asked, said it was Self Defence. Oh... well!... If the security guy said it then that changes EVERYTHING! Boy... I sure am satisfied now! The police of Detriot have already said it was self defense as well. As for the secruity guy...fuck him. They were laughing until Artest went into the crowd. They were prepared to do NOTHING to the man who threw the bottle. So fuck them.

I checked, it is self defense. Some states have rules where if someone points their finger at you and says something you can have them attrested for assault. Throwing something into the face of someone is assault, even if they throw or kick dirt into your face. It's not a high class one, but it is assault. As for the suspensions...whatever. I'm not shocked at all. I won't be shocked if the NBA makes Artest send the man a written apology and the Pistons to give him season tickets. Won't shock me one bit.

Again, Artest did NOT ONCE punch the guy. He grabs him, forcing him to the ground and then lets go when secruity arrives. THAT IS ALL HE DOES! Also, let me throw a plastic bottle at your eyes. A bottle can't kill you? Right, just like a little small yellow flag can't end your football career? That bottle could have put Artest out of the league if it strikes his eyes just right. That is assault and the way Artest reacts, just grabbing the man and forcing him to the ground was more than right and more than justified. This wasn't Artest just slugging the man, he just wrestles him down.

Actually, after watching for my...hell, I've lost count...Jackson went into the stands to stop Ron. When Ron gets hit while being restrainted, then Jackson just goes off. This is 100%, without a shadow of ANY doubt, the fault of the fans AND the fault of the secruity in Detriot. They didn't even MOVE towards the fan till Artest did. They seemed more than happy to just let it go. Also, ESPN has already went with the pussy "think of the children" approach? God, took them all of what? 40 minutes?

Tinsley is my hero for attacking with a dustpan. I expected him to go back into the locker room and return with a ball pin full of weapons and "Natural Born Killaz" to kick on.

Gotta disagree, especially about Stephen Jackson, he ran right by Artest to punch someone. Watch it again. A fan throws a drink RIGHT into the face of Artest, THEN Jackson starts swinging. Remember, I'm being forced to watch this tonight. Over and over and over again. I've watched on repeat for the last...god how knows long now. And Rant, I gotta disagree. The rules should not be there to punish the players for defending against assault. Artest did nothing but subdue the guy, that is all he does. I cannot believe he is going to be punished for basically arresting his attacker. Obviously he will be because it is a rule, but that rule should not be there in a situation like this. If Jackson hit someone who was not directly invovled, is that not also assault? I also love John Saunders, but he is being a little too preachy for me. I never said Jackson shouldn't be suspended or fined. Jackson is guilty, not of assault though. He was defending a helpless man. He should be fined though. But Artest deserves nothing and that is my stance. He does nothing, he even tried to grab Jackson and stop him. Ron Artest does nothing wrong, nothing at all. That is my only stance. The only one who should be punished is Jackson and perhaps Tinsley. Artest should not receive punishment.

Bull. Saying Artest should allow the man who ASSAULTS him go and HOPE that the secruity, who didn't even REACT until Artest did, catches him is an insult. This isn't a fan insulting a player, that should be a fine and suspension. Saying Ron Artest should be suspending for making a citizen arrest is a joke, it's a joke. He deserves nothing, nothing at all.

If the NBA fines or suspends Ron Artest, they deserve to a kick in the ass. Artest went into the stands and effectively subdues the guy so he doesn't get away with what he did. That is ALL he does. Ron f'n Artest, DIDN'T do a thing. He goes into the stands, and basically arrests the guy who assaults him. Then another fan hits Artest, who is being held, in the face. Jackson defends the defenseless Artest since he's being held. Then Artest gets punched in the damn head, twice by a "fan" It wasn't until one steps on the court that Ron Artest throws a punch. Up until then, he does NOTHING that should warrant a fine or suspension.

After checking...I'm right, Artest doesn't punch him. And Jackson doesn't throw a punch till another fan hits Artest in the face with a drink. This WAS the fans faults 100%
