There's a big difference between what matches you run on a 3 pm on Friday slot and a 8/9 pm (with multiple replays) time slot. I'd imagine if it replaces the TBDSSP they're going to get a 1.0 rating at least, not counting the million replays of the show. This will be great exposure for the product. I mean the match-ups. Forget the match styles. The match-ups alone would have been a huge improvement. Plus, the time shouldn't matter. IMPACT is their flagship show, it needs to be treated as such. These matches, minus the gimmicks, would still have made a very impressive IMPACT.

Actually, the guys who sold only told after Al apparently walked up to them and informed them to sell. I think Al and the WWE gave them way too much credit for intelligience. They are lucky the Big Show wasn't Hardcore Holly though. If it had been Holly, we might have had an entirely different situation.

Calling NoCal Mike and other zombie fan hippies
2GOLD replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Television & Film
That I could live with. That would be the perfect combination. The recent dead are the fast movers at first and the long dead or the risen are the slow movers who eventually just break down. At least that is kind of a solid mix of the tension and action. Like people said, I place myself in the film Slow zombies: Ok, they have the numbers but we have the speed factor. Keep aware and maybe I could survive this Fast zombies: Well, I'm dead...Now how do I want to die? Explosion or gunshot wound? -
Calling NoCal Mike and other zombie fan hippies

That's what I love about slow zombies, that "you can survive this cause they are slow" feeling. It's not totally hopeless in your mind and yet it actually IS hopeless cause pure numbers get you in the end. Arrogance and igorance get you killed, that "ha, they are slow...this will be a cake walk to survive." Creates tension, I love tension. I need tension. In the remake, you are screwed. I mean, I can't get terrified of that. When there is no hope whatsoever, then it's just like "ok, let's just pick these losers off so I can leave." And I still laugh at the Olympic sprinter zombies at the start. Those guys are wonderful. I think it's much more scarier thinking you can survive even though you can't than knowing they have the speed and numbers so you are basically waiting to die. With no hope, no tension to me made the remake just an action movie that happened to have zombies. -
Does in the mind of Red Sox fans. I am under the impression Boston would have stabbed a 12 yr old in the middle of the street if they thought it would have gotten them the ring. ....come to think of it. Did anyone check if the number of live chicken sacarfices went up in Boston this past week?

This isn't exactly the 'finer points' of selling. It's selling at it's most basic (you know, the stuff even RVD can do - take a move, make it look like it hurt more than it really did). It should not require any training at all to be able to do this. What a bunch of idiots. Guys are usually taught how to take the bumps before they learn the art of selling. They're told to get right back up after every bump so they can take the bump again. It's part of the drills and that's all they're probably at at this point. Blame Al and anyone else in charge backstage for not making it clear. Ok, when you do an "angle" beforehand where the Big Show gets in your face and says you don't belong here....you shouldn't NEED to be told that you should sell the damn body slam he delivers. Not to mention, you are on the damn show where you WILL be selling the moves if you win. This isn't exactly rocket science here. They should have sold it like a gunshot wound ala HBK and then when they get to the back go, "wow, that was pretty easy" and take the one or two pats on the back for their selling. Already this is a batch of morons.

They didn't steal it last time. People just have way too much free time on their hands if they still believe that. Also, how would you have a sudden fear your ballot was stolen? Do people in Florida have a DEAD ZONE where they touch their coffee cup and go, "gasp! My vote is missing! I better alert someone!"

You kidding? I nearly voted Bush when he did that. Least I know he's human.

The sad thing is the name calling hasn't even really kicked into high gear. It's just going to build and build and build. I can't wait till election night when I bunch of people are treating it like the damn Super Bowl. "YEAH! KERRY GOT DELAWARE! EAT THAT BABY KILLER!" "ALABAMA TO BUSH! F*CK OFF HIPPIE!" I'm just looking at all of this as the calm before the 5.0 Twister known as November 2nd.

Gotta love Manny. I didn't even know this game was on. Kinda sad, I lost all interest in MLB this post-season after that Yankees-Twins game 2.
-
I already am. Voting for him in fact. It's not just a signature, it's a way of life. Also, I'm actually stunned we aren't paying for it all. Least some good news once we get the government in place.

D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan
2GOLD replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
I want to know why D'Von is striking his heel ECW pose in the picture. That's the D'von Dudley stare down pose and if he does that in real life, that's beyond hilarious. I only have one side of the story so I'm not making a call one way or another. I'm just wondering about that picture cause that's just funny. -
Wasn't George Sr a wartime President?

Wow...most of that would make one hell of an IMPACT taping. Hell, most of that would make a damn good PPV. So, they dog it (the booking I mean) on their own show but go all out on BDSSP?? If they had IMPACT tapings like this since the start, the show would have already had a two hour slot and even higher ratings I do believe. When does this air again? I will be watching, sounds like a pretty sweet mix of high flying, power vs power, hardcore and stupid stuff to make for a fun show. [nevermind, I see the dates] And damn, they apparently sold Styles like a champion.
-
Till they get paid to air the show on TV, this is just holding a carrot just out of the reach of a starving Horse. Good news, but until they get paid to be on TV...they are burning more money on airing the PPV than they are going to make.

For those that don't know the plot Husband dies. Kid is born. Flash forward 10 yrs, Boy shows up, basically talking and acting like dead hubby. Wifey starts to buy it. Hilarious hi-jinks ensues. "Lolita" with Jeremy Irons got sent to hell so I don't see why this movie isn't going to get the same treatment. Do I care? Nope, so Kidman kisses a boy. Big deal. She doesn't toss him on the bed and start riding him for god sake. I'm more confused how Kidman and legend even popped up in the same sentence.

Honestly, I don't think anyone takes Flair serious anymore. His flop has just become so cartoony now. It used to be he'd just fall out of the corner, now he stumbles forward, acts like he is ok, does a little "put em up" like the Cowardly Lion and then flop. Orton should have been in a mini-feud with Batista, not Flair.

Thank God. Vince couldn't have possibly been that stupid. ...You haven't realized Vince has gone whacko yet?
-
I would have been scared....if my name was Sarah Conner. Otherwise, didn't care. I would have let him kill her, odds are I would die in the nuclear explosions anyway.

Yes, as long as you are buying the two EA games. Make them the first two selections and then you officially "bought" them

That's only because Hasselhoff isn't running. We know Norm would drop Bush for David. -=Mike Which would just go to prove my theory Norm MacDonald loves David HasselHoff
