At the time the Cubs were miserable, but fans still went to the games. This is one of the problems with ever using the Cubs because when they suck, the fans are still there. This was the only thing wrong with Rookie of the Year. Also, as much as the Cubs have stunk they weren't as bad as the Indians. The Bulls have the talented players but injuries and guys not developing quick enough plus a piss poor GM killed them for awhile. They'll be back. As will the Celtics but that might take more time than in Chi-town.

If Woody goes to I, MAX then I'll watch the show. I watched it some yesterday and it's just not that much fun with Max trying to top Holley in boxer style scoring. It's ok, just not great.

Saw the tweaking, it's really quite more different than they make it out to be. It still has no chance in hell of working and it's even more of a screw job to the smaller conference schools. This isn't going to solve a damn thing cause it doesn't address the "3 teams that deserve a shot" situation at all. Even with this new system, the title game would have had Oklahoma. It's just a BCS smoke screen to distract from the fact that it doesn't work...at all.

I'm pretty sure Comcast Sports Net airs some FOX sports net programming. I get the BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW and a few other FSN shows on it.

If I remember right, most of the film is his memories of being a great superhero and he is old and washed up most of the movie. I'd like the old washed up versions getting together to save the world, that would be better than a straight forward cgi super hero film. ETA: Oh wait, now I get it. That'll work just fine.

Edge should lose points for having the weakest spear in wrestling as a finisher. I'm more likely to believe the Leg Drop of Doom can finish someone off than that hug he gives people.

I'm more pleased with the business of "Man on Fire" than anything else. Denzel as a bad ass seems to equal big money.

Stevie needs the Big Stevie Cool mixed in with a Andrew WK gimmick. Hell, see if Andrew will stop in and hang out with Stevie during a RAW. They already look and act the same, the damn voices are almost carbon copies and it might just give Steven something to do instead of eating chips and watching TV. As for the winner of the Battle Royal....I say Orton.

Way Ainsworth and Ponson are pitching, you might look good in the rotation in Baltimore. I have no idea how they have won so many games when Kurt and Sid can't seem to last to the damn fourth inning.

Tarver is the first boxer I saw get in a ring with Jones that wasn't buying the hype of "pound for pound". Tarver went in and kicked his ass again, only this time he finished him off. I'm not shocked it happened, Jones Jr slides up and down weight classes so much I'd imagine even his body is confused what the hell he's fighting. I am shocked that it was the second round. Lets hope Jones Jr doesn't go on a Mike Tyson type spiral from grace now.

Sure as hell not Singer. Singer wants two movies for the Dark Phoenix Storyline and then he wants to start the war against the humans after that, probably figuring CGI will be better and perhaps cheaper for Sentinels. Wish I could remember where I saw his interview cause I just stared at it wondering how he plans to do this. Supposedly filming two movies at the same time and releasing them a year apart. But I think Singer is just becoming obsessed with the series now. Which is a good thing.

The exchange that had me cracking up the hardest was: Liz [i think]: "Is it clear?" Shaun: (like he is about to cry) "......no....." I lost it when they panned up and showed the street, one of the funnier moments in horror movie history and this film was loaded with them. I was stunned how well they mixed in emotional moments with comedy and horror. It switched gears from comedy to horror and then back to comedy so well that I was beyond stunned how well it was directed and written. Between this and Eternal Sunshine, I have seen two very impressive movies that give me hope for the film industry. And unlike the unintentional comedy of "DAWN", this comedy was very much intentional but it didn't distract from the zombies. That is just excellent work. I'll have to check out "Spaced" now, I've seen bits and pieces but never anything whole.

Wow, I almost believe these theories that we did it now. Just like I believe flying chicken aliens stole my pop tarts this morning and replaced them with bagels. I know people are paranoid and love a good conspiracy, but these are just stupid ones. Not to mention, the media hasn't shut up about the torture so if this was the plan it failed miserably. And the American people are still basically bickering about stupid crap. Protesting and different opinions are fine and dandy, but when you start talking stupid then your opinion no longer matters. Stuff like "we deserved 9/11" or "we are responsible for the death of this man since if we hadn't..." and crap like that. You don't believe in the war and our reasons for being there, that's good since a nation 100% behind something is just as dangerous. But is there any reason to act like a jackass about things?

I hate that damn kid. That was the first time I wanted to actually kill someone, damn little brat. Course, Armando Bentiez unable to figure out how to throw a breaking ball without it landing in the stands vs the Indians also springs to mind. As for the Cubs, I don't even need to stay. Not the guy, but that whole damn inning. We shall never speak of it again! The Patriots...well Desmond Howard. Pats FINALLY get the Packers on the ropes and Howard slams the door. Oh well, that is well forgotten now though.

The WWE could easily add crowd noise if they felt like it. I doubt anyone would complain about fixing a dead crowd. As long as they don't start chanting for the Undertaker or something.

The Cubs could use Orlando, the former Delmarva Shorebird. But I hope he stays with the Expos and they can get a city that wants them again. But I better not hear the words "NEW JERSEY" when they discuss where to move them. I don't get why not just move them to Vegas since the A's did decent enough there when they had to play games there if I remember right.

The O's are looking to deal Jerry Hairston and Jay Gibbons and possibly Luis Matos. I don't know WHY they would trade Gib or Matos, but Hairston and some minor leaguers for Johnson would seem workable. But he'll probably end up in NYC or BOSTON if he's dealt. I don't know if he'll be dealt though, I'd imagine he's not the only one in the clubhouse pissed off at the way they are playing right now.

Or maybe they are just renewing the Hardy Boyz name so they can sell the old school t-shirts. But no, it's probably to bring back the moron who fell asleep in the ring the last time we saw him.
