I'm glad I'm not the only one. Seems like Dallas will go running back this year and if Carter can't get it done and Buffalo grabs a QB, that Drew Bledsoe will end up in Dallas for a late 2nd-early 3rd round pick. I can't say it would be smart, but Parcells might be the only coach who can make Drew be worth a damn.

Star in terms of ability, not marketability. Couple of the reports I've heard have been saying both actually. I can understand the ability reports, but the "he'll be huge for marketing the team" as an offensive lineman is insane. Should be a good player but do the Raiders have a quarterback? Or Wide outs? Or Linebackers? Aren't they in that same boat with the Chargers in they need to fill lots of holes? And does anyone else get the feeling that the Bills might deal Drew Bledsoe next season to the Dallas Cowboys? I don't know why, but I'm getting that feeling.

Why are these announcers talking about how Gallery will be the next big star in the NFL? He's an offensive lineman! After the draft, the only time you'll hear about him is if you are watching the Raiders and see his name in the line-up. We aren't going to see many GALLERY jerseys and you aren't going to see many highlights about him on Sportscenter or FOX Sports Net or your local news. And if the Chargers take Manning instead of drafting down when they have so many more needs than QB, a position they might already have a good one if they would give him a damn second year, then I think they may dethrone the Bengals as the stupidest drafting team in NFL history. 35 minutes until the damn 15 minutes between picks. God, I hate that.

I continue to enjoy these few moments that the Cubs and Orioles are in first place at the same time. The good thing about the O's getting the down teams early is it gives the young pitchers confidence in their stuff and confidence in the defense/offense. Nothing can be more important for a young pitcher than winning ballgames. I think they could hover around .500 all season and possible be a couple games above it at the least.

I don't know about that Banky. From the things I've read Al Davis is head over heels in love with Roy Williams. He's just amazed by his speed, strength, and athleticism. I still don't get how Ron Santo is not in the Hall of Fame yet. I mean, he was one of if not the greatest Cubs third baseman of all time and was the best third baseman of his time. I just don't get it.

White Flag time at Wrigley. Cubs win 3-1 over the NY Mets and Greg Maddux actually didn't suck. Alou homered to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead and they held off. Big Joe got in form as well, pitching a flawless ninth for the save. The Cubs remain in first place in the NL Central and I enjoy these brief moments when the Cubbies and Orioles are in first place at the same time in my lifetime.
