I'm a sports writer, it's my job to know this stuff. You spend a few days researching the ins and outs of the BCS and college football and your head will want to implode. And no, I am not one of the writers voting for the AP cause I hate that stupid thing just as much as I hate the BCS.

Yeah, but they can still talk about it badly and hurt the BCS more. Cause the #1 not being in the title game is not setting well with any of them right now. I'm not even sure if I care about LSU vs Oklahoma now. I didn't like either of them to begin with and the game isn't even involving #1. But what nobody has been able to tell me is this. Why is the human #1 the undisputed #1? Why? Why aren't people going "Well those humans got it wrong. USC isn't #1!" Why are the human polls considered so great and what they say goes? I mean a human is prone to more bias and hidden agenda's than a computer. So why? Is it because it's traditionally how it's done? Is this a no change kind of thing? Human use common sense and logic. Computers use whatever humans tell them and can be programmed to have more biased by humans. Nothing is objective which is why it needs to be settled on the field. Christ, just ADD an extra game for next Monday to kill time leading to the Super Bowl. Common sense says as follows, if you are on the top and you get crushed while the two below you crush their opponents then you move down unless the gap between you and them is wide. I'm a FSU fan and if FSU had been #1, and had loss, I wouldn't want them in the title game. I was pissed they got in the title game against OU in 2000.

Of course, if the Big 12 followed the PAC-10 system, OU would have won their conference, too. -=Mike Cept they would have still played KState in the regular season since the schedule makers of the Big 12 would have made sure their top teams squared off in conference play. Again, if the Pac 10 gets two more teams...they split into a title game. It's the Big 12 own fault for having too many teams. If they want that pesky title game gone then get rid of Baylor and someone else in college football, bringing them down to under 12 teams.

Actually, the SEC Title game HURT LSU as when you beat a good team TWICE, it hurts you. -=Mike And the Big 12 loss to KState actually INCREASED the SOS for OU. The title game loss didn't hurt OU as much as it killed USC...as odd as that sounds. God, this system gets worse as I look through it. By losing to KState, OU still helped themselves but LSU beating the Bulldogs hurt them. I love it best when the BCS computer guys come on tv and they can't even explain it without saying "Well see, how that works is.." and then bs their way through an answer. Only in the BCS could the team that lost actually benefit more than the teams that won.

Yeah I like football but I really latched on b/c of school support. Because I go to OU. But this was the way my parents, die hard NFL fans put it. "This is just to complicated. There are to many outside factors and to many people that decide. It needs to be left up to humans or computers. You can't let both decide because they're going to disagree and then we're going to have what we have now. Course the computer can't hurl childish insults." I thought college football originally just started as a game between Penn State...and someone else? And then it started growing. Were they calling themselves the national champions after that game? Yes. Sad as that is, yes they were.

Well then let's all hope for a change. Yes that is wrong that they don't get a chance to go. But I think it's also weak how people from smaller conferences don't get a chance. Miami of Ohio could've gone out and shut out everyone they face beat every Top 10 team and they probably still wouldn't have made it into the Title game. That definetly needs to be changed. There is a conference bias in the computer and in the humans and that needs to be changed. I could have told you that years ago. Not only a conference bias, but an overall school bias. The computer doesn't fact in IF you beat the team ahead of you, according to the computer that is not important. That is how FSU got in over Miami despite Miami beating them. And how Nebraska got in despite losing to Colorado. The computer is flawed just as bad as the writers. It will never be settled. I'll just say congrats to USC and whoever on being National Champions and be done with it. Cause that is all this reject system allows for.

The Pac 10 will NEVER get into the BCS title game with the current system. They never will. This is the second time in three years that the Pac 10 has been screwed over. The Pac 10 could have the only undefeated team in the nation and somehow their team wouldn't get in because the BCS computer would say no. You can bet the Pac 10 is going to start getting tired of this since they have watched the #1-2 ranked team in the country in both polls from their conference get screwed out of a shot at the title. And every year, the Pac 10 teams prove how tough they are by playing amazing in the bowl games for the most part.

The titles split because Triple H wanted a belt...and that's about it. They said it was for a world title on RAW, but basically HHH wanted a belt so they gave him a belt. And Goldberg isn't champ so the belts won't be unified. Not to mention, HHH won't have his metal playtoy if they did.

Only because the BCS got massively lucky in 2 of the previous 3 years. Last year was Ohio St vs Miami....which wasn't hard since everyone agreed that should have been the game. Even the AP had that right for christ sake. Year before that, Miami played f*cking Nebraska and that was a joke. Didn't win their conference, didn't even win their division and went in ranked #4 in both polls but ended up in the title game. I STILL don't know how the hell that happened. And no one has yet to explain to me how in the F*CK it happened. This was strike 2 against the BCS Strike one was Florida St vs Oklahoma in 2000. Even as a Seminoles fan, I KNEW they didn't deserve to be in that game. Not one bit. And this year, was strike 3. A system that was supposed to prevent things like this has failed for the second time in three years. And for the second time in those three years, the Pac 10 has been the conference to prove the flaws of a computer that considers the Pac 10 among the worst conferences in college football each year. And the latest news is Carr and a few others coaches will NOT bump USC from #1 in the coaches poll as a sign they have had enough, violating the contract with the BCS. In other words, mutiny as begun. 2000 In coaches and AP Poll #1- Oklahoma, #2 Miami (who beat Florida St), #3 Florida St Florida St vs Oklahoma was the BCS game 2001 #1- Miami, #2 Orgeon, #3 Colorado, #4 Nebraska Nebraska vs Miami was the BCS game, Oregon was #4 in the BCS 2002 #1 Miami, #2 Ohio St Wow, that was easy 2003 #1 USC, #2 LSU, #3 Oklahoma If you screwed up at your job three out of the last four times, would you still be working? Of course not, we'd all be fired.

Again, we had three teams that deserved this shot and only two spots. Course, it's really hard to slam out USC and LSU cause they were rolling but it was also hard to say OU didn't earn a shot. But I'll offer Dama some support here. As bad as some of you think not winning your conference and making the title game is....let us remember TWO years ago when Nebraska didn't even when their own division, let alone conference and played Miami for the National Title. So as bad as you see the Sooners in the title game as, it has been MUCH worse thanks to the BCS.

Hence Army, Navy, Notre Dame, and tons of small schools officially being National Champions that no longer have a shot in hell of winning. Well, except ND. Personally, College Football is losing me fast. I still love Div II and the smaller games, but these "big games" just don't matter to me anymore. It used to be I would have been willing to dish out major cash to go to a bowl game. And now, I wouldn't even think about it. As for LSU vs OU is #1 vs #2....that's in the BCS standings, not the coaches and AP poll. In both of those, it's #2 vs #3. Course, after the game USC will be #1 in the AP but #2 in the BCS I THINK (god, if they finish #3 in the coaches poll...sweet lard) and the winner of the Sugar Bowl will be #1. Course, as bad as this year is, it's not as bad as two years ago when #4 Nebraska (who didn't make the Big 12 title game) become #2 in the BCS despite being #4 in both polls while Oregon and Colorado (who were #2 and #3) played each other while Miami slaughtered the Huskers in a joke title game. Which essentially became the first step in my dislike for the BCS system. And the BCS still isn't as bad as the days of the AP by itself, but that wouldn't have been bad if the bowls weren't highjacked by conferences. But to get back to the point, most of us don't know what the point of the Sugar Bowl is anymore. It's just another bowl game now. Whoever wins is split National Champion, it's just USC is celebrating first.

Well, if Crippler wins I don't even see why it would matter. I don't trust Triple H in any storyline to make his opponent seem important and I damn sure don't believe he'd put over someone at Wrestlemania in MSG no less. Wait...wasn't there a story about The Rock coming back in January? And why the hell are any of us looking for logic in WWE thinking?

Boy, that move to RAW really helped Matt out. It's amazing that the WWE could bobble such an easily marketable character in V1. First they get rid of his cool shirt in favor of that god awful "HARDY BOYZ" colored shirt. Then, they have him lose to one leg, who apparently was sent to Gaum or something after the win. Followed by shipping him to RAW, where they do a great job of his heel turn only to NOT HAVE HIM on the next week. Then, they screw up his entrance video with that piss poor APPLE looking opener and the final insult is to ship him to Heat. I swear, monkeys with god damn typewriters could do a better job than this. Blind and deaf monkeys with f*cking typewriters!

HHH a better worker than Goldberg??? God, I dislike Bill as much as the next person but even I wouldn't go that low on him. H can barely move now without pulling a groin muscle. Somehow, HBK got the Scott Hall resistance to injury body while Trips got the Nash legs that give out when standing up. Goldberg may not be great, but at least he can finish a match without blowing out his quad like a tire.
