Three things to take into consideration. 1. As Rant said, Helton is older than Rodriguez, by two years. 2. Helton's contract runs longer than Rodriguez's. Helton will be 38 when his deal expires, while Rodriguez will be 35. 3. Alex Rodriguez is currently the best player in his league. Helton is good, but not quite at that level. Rodriguez is possibly the best SS ever (outside of Honus Wagner). I'd hesitate to put Helton in the top 20-30 at his position. A-Rod maybe the best player in the league, but his contract alone merits him being on the list. I agree For him to justify that deal, he should have to hit 60 homeruns a year and bat .395 with 145 RBI No one is worth the money A-Rod gets even if he is the best player in baseball and I don't even agree with that statement.

I had the size (still do but it was much better shape back then), I had the intensity to play football, and I was a very hard worker and had actually gotten myself into excellent shape for football my senior season. I didn't go out the first three years in high school since the coach was a dick and he only played name kids from around town, one of the reason tons of kids quit the three previous years and I was too busy working hard to get into college (Temple). About a week before work outs were to begin, my brother died and I just lost it. I went out three days later, they were very understanding but my heart just wasn't in it. I didn't care enough about anything anymore and I told the coach "I quit" and walked off. I regretted it but I wasn't emotionally right to play and I had managed to not eat or drink anything for two days before the day I finally went in. I don't know if I would have been big, but I know I would have been good enough for linebacker/DL and with my size and work ethic, I could have possibly gotten a scholarship or just walked on at Temple. But I didn't play and I also decided against Temple. Basically, I was mentally screwed up and gave up most of my plans. So goes life. I'm happy now and I do sorta regret it but not enough to think my life would have been better. There, now where the hell is Montel with my free cruise???

I'd like to know how A-Rod is an ok deal but Helton, who as you said hits well enough to justify the pay, is a bad deal.

I remember, a little bit before Shane was to face Kane, KANE was in the ring doing a promo and the crowd was dead quiet.... Until "SHUT UP!"- Some guy in the crowd yells it and the crowd chuckles Kane keeps talking and then "YOU SUCK!"- Same guy, crowd cracks up and Kane is in the ring with this pained look on his face that says 'get me out of here please'. That was hilarious.

Buckets of tears over here man, buckets of tears Jeff Hardy nearly falling asleep in his match with Christian and RAW and Christian just shaking his head. Come to think of it....every Hardy match was unintentionally funny. But it still doesn't top the Christian/Lita/Trish CUT. I hope RAW was working with the production crew over the holiday cause they are horrible this year.

Jackson needs some help. I ALSO think that the kid's parents should face charges. Not going to happen. Ted Turner is broadcasting HIS team on HIS network. If Selig has plans for that he's going to have to pony up some real money to Ted. Actually no, he doesn't. Without the MLB copyright, Ted couldn't show one game on HIS network even if they are HIS team. MLB holds all the cards when it comes to showing games.

I'm not, but when I find out that Todd WALKER might be a short...I tend to get confused. If they don't have Gonzo then they need to move on Aurilla as he is a decent hitting shortstop who will give them at least 15 homeruns and a mid .280 batting average.
