Yeah, Clemson will be the #8 seed and taking on #9 FSU for the best shot at the NCAA tournament. Clemson loses, they are done and Florida State will still need to beat either VA or NC to even have a remote whisper at an at large bid. Personally I think they are both in the same boat of needing two wins in the ACC tournament, possibly three for the Noles. The ACC tourney should be extremely interesting.

Dickie Kerr, the only White Sox pitcher that wasn't offered money to throw the series because they figured he'd blow games on his own. Then he goes out and dominates for them and nearly blows the whole damn thing up. I thought they would lose the series because of lack of pitching but I guess they did enough. And damn, for a team not trying to throw the series, they certainly did alot in two of those games to try and blow it.

Tony f'n Douglas comes back for Florida State today and hits a HUGE NBA range three pointer with 7.3 seconds left to tie it and send it to overtime with Miami. Thornton and Douglas are playing like two guys who want to fight into the tournament. The rest of the team? Not so much. 82-82 Florida State comes back from 6 down with 1:30 to play, ties it and wins by 8 in overtime. Al Thornton was a MONSTER with 45 points (one shy of the school record that he could have had but showed class by not slamming it down with 5 seconds left all by himself), 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and 11/11 from the line. You cannot ask for a better game from a senior. Tony Douglas comes back from that broken bone today, scores 13 points including the one I mentioned. That was one hell of a game. Miami was trying to come back like FSU did in OT but Thornton slammed one against the glass to shut the door on it. FSU could be a little more dangerous with Douglas back as it allows Rich to move around more and not worry about running the offense. They will still need one or two wins in the ACC tournament to have a shot of making the NCAA, I'd say they need at least two wins which I dunno if they can get. But damn, that is a way for a senior to close out his final ACC regular season conference game.

I'm not seeing where Joe got humiliated there. He gets hit in the back with a chair and gets his head nearly clotheslined off. Then he fights off two men before a third is needed to stop him, gets up after getting nailed with Christian's finisher and then gets caught by surprise because he was more focused on Christian than Abyss. Pretty much showed it takes a LOT to keep him down and even then, he keeps getting up and coming back for more. It wasn't until the third damn super move that the guy had nothing left in the tank. As for why the ref would come over, I've seen them come over a few times. The difference being Tomko's arm length can grab where the other guys just kinda get slammed. Plus wasn't he already close to the corner? Ref's have never exactly been the smartest breed in wrestling. Now that I saw it, I have even less of a problem. I don't hold a guy's win-loss record from another company in a fake sport against them so I'm not exactly sure why Tomko beating Joe destroys Joe just because Tomko lost predetermined matches somewhere else. Insano Sting is just hilariously fun, I just haven't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing yet.

I remember when Kiper showed up on Sportcenter a week or so before the draft. Rated the best prospects, did the draft and was actually critical. Went away for another 50 weeks. They forced him in early this year, made him come in about midway through the college season and talk about the best players. He didn't look too happy, didn't sound like he really cared and had the look of someone who doesn't want to be bothered until March or April. Probably why you aren't seeing him much right now. He just doesn't give a damn at the moment and they know it.

Plus Montoya has made it quite clear that right now he is far more concerned with learning to drive the damn car and not ripping apart the equipment in his rookie season than anything else. Once he gets a better handle on the car and some experience on the tracks (the Busch and NASCAR drivers have seen these tracks before so they have a leg up on him), he'll be fine.

It's... spring training. The White Sox finished with a losing record in spring training in 2005, and went on to win the World Series. Really, spring training is worthless IMO. Well, it's good for the guys trying to make a club that has open roster spots and for checking out the minor league players. But for evaluating how the team will play in the regular season? Yeah, it's pretty damn worthless.

To me, it makes less sense when a faction lets their man lose the match and THEN comes in to pound the guy. They have the numbers, they want to mess with the guy AND then pour salt in a open wound so why do it? Joe beating the guy doesn't show that the numbers may cost him the match at Dest X, it just shows he can beat Christian and then maybe get a beatdown after he already has the last laugh. Christian coming out and costing Joe the match makes perfect sense to me. He's already said Tomko is like a son to him, so why wouldn't he come out and help him score his biggest win ever in TNA? And Joe isn't made to look bad because he lost by a chair shot AND an additional power move to his head. Numbers are too great for any one man and that needs to be established MORE. And factions using numbers to their advantage during matches needs to be established more.

The only problem I had with it was Abyss laying out Joe. I have no problem with the newest heel faction, which they are trying to establish, getting the best of Joe to end a show and him losing a match because of a chair shot. The Abyss part makes zero sense and I have no clue why exactly he came out since he's not IN the match at Dest X so Russo is a complete moron for having him run out and do that. But the faction laying out Joe because they have a 3 on 1 situation after hitting him with a chair, I'm not seeing the issue. Just because he's Joe doesn't mean he should be able to overcome all of that by himself.

Am I wrong or did Eddie Murphy get up and LEAVE when he lost? I swear Eddie was there until they said Alan Arkin, then Eddie was plain gone for the rest of the night. Did Eddie pull a Bill Murray but without the return?

Thanks in whole to the Georiga Tech collapse against Virginia, Florida State is back to freaking life in the NCAA tournament talk. As a FSU fan, I can say I cannot see the Noles deserving to be nor having the type of team that can be competitive right now. I'd like to see them in because I'd really like to see Thornton get a chance to shine on the National stage, but I just don't see them making it. It would take a win over Miami and at least two wins in the ACC tournament PLUS the Yellow Jackets to implode by losing their final two regular season conference games (Very possible) and lose in the first round of the ACC tournament. Same goes for Clemson. I mean, two weeks ago I was sure the ACC would get seven teams which means FSU, GT and Clemson were all fighting to see if they could snag it. But they have all been playing a game of "I don't want it, you take it" which may end up costing the ACC seven spots.

Hopefully if they're smart they will end the show when he leaves or else I having a feeling 8th season will start off with a meteor rock making "Lex" look different. Which would be horribly lame and just kill the show anyway. I don't see how the show can survive without him honestly. It would just be smart like you said, to just end it when he goes. There is really nothing left to do.

They are HORRIBLE live. They sound completely bored, refused to sing any of their older songs, and pimped the CD by playing some of it which sounded worst than bad. I've heard garage bands at local shows perform better. I had the misfortune to see them before Yellowcard. But thankfully a thunderstorm came and saved me from Yellowcard.

I like the heel Christy is playing. Sounds like Christy gets to play the "I'm better than anything you'll ever get losers" bitch, which usually works extremely well in wrestling for a female. The faces wanting her to be nothing more than a bimbo..that doesn't make sense. Getting in her face for being a bitch, yeah that would work really well and honestly if she plays the character right, the crowd would go absolutely crazy when she gets her clothes ripped off at the end of the feud. So really, the angle does work. It's worded horribly, but if they were to play it right, it could really dominate and give them one amazing tag team. Of course, they'll probably just have it be BG and Kipp just want her to be a stripping slut..which wouldn't work unless Christy could play her character awesome. I wish the Damaja could wrestle under his own name and get to talk. The guy is amazing in the ring and on the mic if they just let him ride.
