Yeah, that's what I told her and eventually we figured out the nightmare. One of the files was goofed up, we repaired it and now it's working fine. But damn, it was a hassle trying to track down the right file. If I was a drinking man, I'd be having four jacks and a few rum and cokes right now.

My friend is having a serious f'n problem and NONE of the online solutions seem to apply or make sense to me. Basically she restarted her computer and all that comes up is the background, no icons or taskbar and when she accesses the computer task manager it appears nothing is working. She is running an XP operating system and I don't know what the problem is. She tried a system restore, nothing. She tried safe mode but it wouldn't come up. The computer is running, it just appears to be in a weird jam up. Does anyone know what the hell the problem is and what I can tell her to do?

I really hope the Pats focus on finding some speedy linebackers and a good FS cause Hawkins is horrible. Other than that, I don't know what New England really needs. Jackson should be more used to the system this season, Gaffney really showed he can step it up and Troy Brown is Troy Brown so WR looks good enough for me. But damn, the defense looked absolutely gassed by the third quarter of the Colts game. And Hawkins got lit up three or four times because he bought the play action HARD.

I bet $50,000 that it at least leads to some kind of humiliation angle. JR and The King get destroyed by Umaga, leading to the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin. He'll ref Lawler vs Umaga with Lawler scoring the "stunning" upset. Austin gets his stunner, gets to pour some beer on someone and do his little corner pose. Least that's what I'm picking.

I think they're cancelling TRL...........but you know with the music that is popular these days I'm not sure videos would be great either. I mean unless of course you dig BET version 2, anytime they show videos it's all rap. Yeah, MTV did go all rap crazy. Fuse occasionally shows rock, MTV2 will show metal with Headbanger's Ball. I usually just watch IMF since it's been nothing but videos with a splash of cultural knowledge mixed in until they eventually get destroyed. If WSX is dead, it's a shame for those guys who finally thought they were getting their big break.

I actually enjoyed IMPACT a lot this week. Positives: Jay Lethal- His Macho Man is awesome and I was already impressed with his ring work The Fallen Angel promo- Finally, it appears he is going BACK to the Fallen Angel full gimmick instead of just the name The Battle Royal- Very well done, no one got treated like a complete punk and it put over Steiner strong Steiner's promo- He actually explained why he hates Angle and I'm totally fine with jealously as a reason Backlund- Bob is just great, absolutely great. I forgot how much I missed him. Negatives: The Truth stuff- It's not funny and it's going nowhere, just let him be THE TRUTH again The fat guy in the PI segment- Again, not funny and really stupid. Would have killed the whole segment without Lethal being awesome Unoffensive: The arm wrestling- I'm fine with it. Keeps the angle going just fine with Harris still selling the eye injury. Kim was already engrossed in the angle and now she has someone to feud. Plus Miss Texas claim was always how strong she was, it worked out seeing Kim "humiliate" her. LAX match- They beat the hell out of two guys and set up the match next week, which just sounds like a strap match with a new name. The Big Pussy show up, I have no idea what that was about but I guess it was a SpikeTV cross promotion deal.

If the major shake-up ends up being MTV starts showing, you know, music videos instead of crappy faux reality programs then I approve. Odds are they will throw the episodes up at like various times throughout the week just to say they aired them. Shame for WSX, they were giving me quite a fun laugh every week.

That's about as good of a rating as Sci Fi does for anything, they'll probably beg WWE to keep the show going when the contract is about to expire. Well, it's not on par with what their top shows usually do which is usually the 1.7 to the 2.0 range. When SG1 fell to the 1.5 range, it headed for cancellation. So don't be so sure Sci-Fi is aching to renew that contract at the end of the year when they can toss on almost any sci-fi show and hit that. Right now, 1.5 puts it ahead of Dr. Who...that's about it. When it first started with a 2.5? Yes, it was the best. 1.5? No, that's not as great as you think for the channel. Hell, their crappy MOVIES get 1.5 range.

Snuff has it right. It's like any other GA show you've ever been to but with security to make sure you don't get tossed from your seat. If you leave your seat on your own, you lose your seat. It has worked at other places...but with an ozzfest crowd? Not sure. What they may end up doing is like Warped tour does. Put the main stage outside so it's standing room only and have the second stage have seats. People rarely stay in their seats at the second stages, usually just to rest and then head back outside to the main stage hells.

Cause they usually test run the bits in various comedy clubs to make sure the bits work. By then, other comedians have heard the bit and if that comedian is famous, it'll be on TV before a copyright can even be filed. And Carlos got Joe banned from the Comedy Store. Nice. Florida State had them beat, which was extremely frustrating to watch. I didn't see where BC is really all that good. And the Noles lost to Georiga Tech and probably just closed the book on their tournament chances. Again. Eventually that school is going to have to find players who actually want to finish the season instead of sleep walking to the end like it's all wrapped up. Course that isn't happening anytime soon.

World of Warcraft. It seems intent on wasting ten years of your life anyway and it's loophole to the no contact with the outside world because it's a video game. Course, it would involve me playing World of Warcraft.... I'd slit my wrists with a Linkin Park DVD (it seems fitting) while Sinatra's angry ass played my out of the scene.

Joe seems to be pretty damn good when it comes to one on one confrontations. But I doubt he'd have a problem with David since Joe mainly only has a problem with guys who steal jokes from his friends. Never liked Joe's stand up material but man, Joe knows how to rip someone apart.

We live near a prison that has an unusually high escape rate. Course most of the time the escapees show up two days later and ask to come back inside.

I'm starting to think my dad has the right idea with his six gun inside an old west holster hooked onto the banister of their bed. I keep forgetting to ask what kind it is but considering it was my grandfather's, thing is probably a collectors item. And pops plans to use it to kill. Only because his 5 shotguns are hard to get to in a pinch. People used to wonder why I never snuck out and back into the house. THAT is why.

You actually bought Day of the Dead 2? The only movies I haven't watched yet are Side-Out and Underworld:Evolution. I cannot sit down and watch a C. Thomas Howell volleyball movie in peace I swear. And U:E is my fiancee's movie and I haven't really felt the urge to watch it yet. I should though, I enjoyed the first one and watching Kate Beckinsale in just her underwear seems like a good thing to do on a rainy day. And it is raining.

Didn't they plug an Ultimate X during the special last night? Yes, but they showed a ladder match. Sorta. I was just wondering why they named Lynn the #1 Contender if they're going to do an UX at Destination X, which usually has at least 3 people in it. Perhaps he gets the title shot before Destination X or Ultimate X isn't going to be used for the title match.
