Starting from the PS2 slim onward, Sony includes standard 1 year warranties on all their Playstation products. PSP, PS3--also one year. And the failure rates on both have been apparently miniscule. Sony learned their big, expensive lesson. MS are learning now too, but it's going to cost them over a billion dollars. Ok...but it also took Sony how long to do that?

Actually the PS2 was much much worse than this is. At least people are getting replacements and aren't paying out of pocket (and if they did are getting reimbursed). I know several people who had to buy a second PS2 because of all the disk read errors and general shittyness that was the PS2's durability. I also know a couple people who paid $40 to have Sony fix the disk read problem, I had to crack my PS2 open and adjust the lens probably 4 times, and I didn't even use it that much. Inconvenience is one thing, but having to pay on top of it is another. Microsoft made a mistake and are going above and beyond to make it right. Once again, PS2s weren't failing at nearly the rate that Xbox 360s are. I don't know how you could possibly spin the PS2 as being worse, the failure rates don't even seem to be in the same stratosphere. If they were, I'm sure Sony would have been forced to do something like Microsoft has done. But they aren't. The old "well my friends..." anecdotes don't mean anything either, it's a small sample size. I can just turn it around and say that I don't have any friends who've had problems with the system and that mine has worked since I bought it in 2001. Sony wouldn't have done jackshit no matter how high the number was about PS2's breaking. Trust me, Sony sucks ass when it comes to dealing with reparing Playstations. I used to have customers come in all the time asking for me to switch out their Playstations with another one because Sony wouldn't take care of them. In hindsight, the 360 breakage is almost just as bad as the Playstation 2 continuesly breakage but here's what makes the 360 issue less than a problem than what was Sony's issue. Microsoft is at least taking care of it, admitting they fucked up, making it so less of their systems have the same issue, and issuing a longer warranty for those whose 360's break. Sony on the other hand...just didn't care. Sony didn't offer any kind of help if you didn't have a warranty with them or if it was up. When I worked for Gamecrazy I would get customers with broken PS2's all the time, just about every day of the week I would have at least one person who would need to return their PS2 and either get another one or want their money back because it was their 3rd PS2. That's what makes the PS2 breakage much more worse than the 360 breakage.

How can you say that the ECW and Smackdown shows suck when you haven't watched either of them in such a long time?

Because CM Punk is one of the people who draws people to watch ECW. Moving him to another show would hurt ECW in the numbers department and if you had 3 shows that got money into your company, why would you want to jeoperdize that? Now reading from your first long post, your a big CM Punk fan, but moving him to Raw or Smackdown would be a huge mistake. He might be a good feud with Edge, but I'm sure there are a line of people the WWE writers already have in mind for Edge. So you move him to Raw and he feuds with John Cena and I'm sorry but CM Punk would turn Cena heel so fast it wouldn't be funny and here's why. CM Punk is not a gimmick wrestler, it's him and fans casual and "Smart" alike will get behind the normal wrestler who is chasing after a world title. John Cena on the other hand is just a silly gimmick and against some wrestlers, he's well liked, but when you Cena against HHH, HBK, Edge, or someone who is just themselves, the majority fans turn on Cena pretty damn quickly. Now when WWE is trying to turn John Cena into the next Hulk Hogan like wrestler.....why would your risk downfalling that whole thing when your going to throw a guy like CM Punk into the mix? You would be insane to try that. And lets say the feud does happen, and Cena overcomes Punk for whatever reason. Punk's done. Plain and simple, there won't be a re-match for Punk and if there is, the same thing that happen to Khali will happen to Punk. Khali was built up to be this huge mountain for Cena to pass but after we found out Cena can beat Khali, that whole feud was dead after that 1 match. You mean to tell me that wouldn't happen again? It will and it would. Punk get lost and put back on ECW or onto Smackdown, just like that. Not only that, but CM Punk fits much better on ECW than he would on Raw and Smackdown right now. ECW is a show filled with guys who aren't doing silly gimmicks or who aren't trying to be something their not (Boogey is excluded in this.) instead just about everyone on ECW is pretty much being themselves, why put Punk on one of the shows where he would have to wrestle something out of a cartoon?

I love the fact that Sheik made that guy kiss his hand. Iron Sheik is just fucking awesome with everything he does.

If you want to sell the dvd, i say wait another week or two because this will still be on everyone's mine maybe even more so than it is now, so people buying the dvds may pay more in another week or so.

I agree with Bob, the PG-13 rating isn't that bad at all. I didn't go into this threaduntil after I watched the movie so I didn't know really anything about the editing. After I saw the movie I came into this thread and started reading about the editing and then a few certain scenes dawned on me that those certain scenes might have been edited but I didn't even realize it until I came into this thread.

I've been kinda thinking about the same thing Enigma. I'm also Ref'ing (or doing sound) for a wrestling show on Sunday and I've been wondering how there going to handle this. Maybe the best thing to do is just stay away from it.
