Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Scroby replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
....I'm speechless. fuck. -
I couldn't watch the PPV tonight as I had a busy day (Pride Parade and working a wrestling show) and I read the short results and the one thing that baffles me is, why have those title matches but only have two title changes? I guess only one technically since the ECW title was going to go to a new person anyways, but that sorta baffles me a bit. As Nitro being the ECW champion...the personnal reason aside from Beniot not being able to make it, who else were they going to go with to replace Beniot. At a booking stand point, you can't go with Burke or Cor Von because they already lost contendership matches, so having one of them replace Beniot would make little to no sense.......actually I take that back, it could have made sense but only with Burke. Just say because Beniot couldn't attend the show, Burke takes Beniot's place because thats who he wrestled on Tuesday to try and advance to the match at the PPV. So who do you go with if not Burke and Cor Von....Nitro. I know what your thinking, "two weeks ago, Nitro was on heat!" blah, blah, blah. Nitro is a pretty damn good heel when given the chance to shine, he's talented in the ring and on the mic and honestly can get the job done when it comes down to it. Now again, I didn't see the match, i'm just going off what I've seen of Nitro's work. If pushed correctly and Nitro isn't made to be a transitional champion, Nitro could be a good top heel for ECW and hell who knows, maybe the plan was for Nitro to chase either Punk or Beniot after tonight's ppv and due to Beniot's issue it was decided to go ahead and give Nitro the belt and do reverse booking and have either Punk or Beniot go after Jonny Nitro's ECW title. I honestly just say, lets wait and see where things go before we go all crazy over Nitro being the ECW champion. Hell it might to lead to something actually good.

NOT VAL VENIS~!

So why did you downgrade the size of your nut if there was nothing wrong with it? Sounds like a waste of money to be doing that.

I didn't get my license until I was 21. It's not that I didn't want it, because I did, it's just I never had a car and I had no one to teach me. My mom wouldn't teach me because her car is a stick and she worried that I would burn out the clutch and her boyfriend was just an ass and would make excuses to not let me drive his truck to work and back. I passed both tests without a problem, then 6 months later I got into a small car accident...now I drive much better. :0) I wanna say the Bay Area of California has bad drivers, but i don't think it has the most. There are plenty of shitty drivers...real shitty drivers but it's not like everyone out here is a horrible driver.

Why is it Marvel movies are doing things from the Ultimate line of comics? I don't get that.

are you talking about the sound effect that suppose to sound like a fart?

so in a update to my 360 breakdown, I contacted Gamecrazy and found out that I could switch it out as long as I find my recipt but I have to take in everything that came with it and give it to them as well...including my Harddrive. I asked if I could just send the new clear harddrive with the defective system instead of giving them my harddrive, the manager told me no as he had a issue with one person whose old harddrive wouldn't work with any of the new systems. So I got screwed there. I was talking to a friend about maybe letting me put some of my data thats on my harddrive onto his harddriva via a transfer kit because I don't think a memory card will work with some of my games and he told me that he has a program that will let me transfer my data from my harddrive to his computer so when I got the new Harddrive, I could just transfer the data from his computer to my harddrive. On Monday, after I contacted the manager of Gamecrazy, i called Microsoft to make sure that my Harddrive didn't go defective on me when my system went defective, they told me no and informed that my system was still in warranty with them and they will fix it for me, which was odd because when I called in on Sunday, I was told that my warranty wasn't in tact and if I wanted Microsoft to fix it, it would cost me $140.00. The lady over the phone asked me what I wanted to do and after finding out how long it may take, I opted to just finding my recipet and switching the 360 out for a new one at Gamecrazy. Yesterday I went to my mom's house to find said recipt and couldn't find it at all. So I called Microsoft back to make sure 100% what I could do, I was told that my warranty was still in-tact with Microsoft and I now have a box on it's way to me from Microsoft so YAY! there and I only need to send my system and the referance number, nothing else. So some how, I really really luck'd out.

Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.

Maybe Sid really did want to be the ruler of the world....of World Wrestling Entertainment. -
How much do indy wrestlers actually get paid?
Scroby replied to mysterious_w's topic in General Wrestling
Everyone whose posted is pretty much is correct on pay outs. Depending on who you are and what you've done and how big of a name you are, it really varies. Smaller names/rookies/lesser knowns/guys who haven't been around long enough free to 50.00. Bigger names/former TNA/WWE/WCW/ECW wrestlers/"Vets"/higher name value 100 or more. -

It's True, it's True, OH! it's damn true! -
Source? Me working at Gamecrazy during the whole GTA San Andreas bullshit and having to go through that whole ratings bullshit. I talked to and read a whole lot of information about game companys and what they did when it came to games and ratings during that time period. Gamecrazy and Microsoft and Sony were not playing around when that whole thing happen.

They've done that before to try to look "shoot"ish. But with the odd finish, Tommy may have taken the early pin b/c he was, in fact, legit hurt (assuming the new reffing policy is in effect). Is there a new sign for when they're legit hurt? Yeah, it's the X symbol with...HEY HE'S FUCKING HURT! No there is no new sign for Ref's to let someone know there's a real injury in the ring and the match can't continue. It all depends on how serious the injury is. If it's something that isn't a major injury, a ref may not throw up the X sign and the match might continue with a quick finish. If it's a major injury, you better bet your ass I'm thorwing up the X sign a few fucking times, telling the other worker to stop he or she is not moving and is really hurt and we get help as soon as possible. There is no new Ref sign, where that came from I have no clue.

Boogeyman is just that fabulous. I couldn't help but just laugh when I saw him prove to be incapable of lifting the guy up and slamming him down on the first try. That wasn't boogie's fault, that was the jobber who just lost his chances of EVER having a job with the WWE because he didn't jump up and take the bump and fucking up the ONLY move in the match then throwing his arms in air like he was saying "what now?"
-
So you think Armstrong wasn't doing a good job as a Ref because he was doing his job of doing the shoulder check? Did you not watch any of the old NWA days, there refs did that all the time. Ref's should check the shoulders most of the time as it makes the matches seem more realistic. Armstrong did his job as a ref correctly the entire match.

Andrew your almost right here. -I can't remember what year it was, but during one year (early to mid 90's) when the ESRB rating board was introduced it was said that a game can NOT be sold by any store without a rating. If a game was sold and didn't have a ESRB rating, a LOT of people would be heavily fined by it. It might have been passed as a law, this was during the whole Mortal Kombat controversy and I know very little about it, but I do know at least that much. -Most retailers will not sell any game rated AO and most companys (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) choose not to sell games with the rating of AO. So now this puts a intresting spin on Manhunt 2. Will Take-two (who already have issues with the ESRB rating board) take a good chunk of the game out to try to get it down to a M rating or will retailers and game console companys still sell the game but just take a LOT of caution with selling it. It's really a whole new ballgame now.

For fun, can we start posting pictures of random people who we think did it? -

For the rest of the suspects I thought word was going around backstage that he buried himself when he couldn't keep a straight face. So, either it WAS scripted and we were wrong all along, or he really did give himself a push. See what happens when you BELIEVE everything that posts on the internet. -
I like to add my two cents here, since I am one of the few here who are actually involved in the wrestling business and please don't take that as I'm taking a shot at the posters here, because I'm not. Pro Wrestling is a really strange buisness. The Vince McMahon death angle is something...well to be honest it's something..it's something new and creative that the WWE is going all out for to make sure it works. Not everyone will agree with it, not everyone will buy into it, and a lot of people will be offended by it and that goes fans and workers and "journalists" alike. Am I personnally offended by it? No I'm not, do I think it's a cheap way to gain attention to your shows? Yes I do, but will it work? Yes it will and it has. I haven't seen the ratings for ECW or Smackdown but I'm assuming both shows got a ratings spike just because people wanted to see what the hell was going on. I remember on Tuesday, I was driving somewhere for work, listening to the radio when I heard someone call in and ask the dj about the Vince McMahon exploding limo and no, this was not a radio wrestling show, it was just some random fan calling into the station to talk about it on-air. The dj proclaimed that it had to just be a storyline as nothing has been said about the "death" of Vince McMahon on any mainstream news show or website, just the WWE.com website. So in a sense, the WWE has done the right thing of gaining people's attention and having people talk about it. Have they taken it a bit to far with the 10 bell salute and the gathering of workers at the enterance? Well it depends on who you are and how deep you THINK you are with wrestling. Apprently Mr. Keller is sick to his stomach about the whole thing and I'm sure there are many more weather it be a fan, worker, or "journalist" who pretty much feel the same way. A lot of people love and respect this buisness, there is a lot of people who have gained a LOT from this buisness by actually either wrestling, Ref'ing, annoucing, or using the internet to write about and judge wrestling and for some freaking reason I can't seem to understand why the "death of Vince McMahon" is impacting these people so much, but then again I"m not one of these people. I understand that this is a WWE storyline and weather you want to admit or not, the WWE will go all out no matter what to make sure the storyline sticks and works, even if it's in somewhat dis-taste and goes to a level NO ONE (katie vick) wants to see. Now I am one of the people who love and respect this buisness, have I gained a LOT from it? Hell no, I haven't earned much from this buisness but I do love and respect this buisness and a stupid low-brow death storyline from the WWE is not going to make me sick to my stomach and throw a hissy fit about it like Wade Keller did. Hell no, if I don't like it, I'll turn the channel and watch that new NBC love reality show for a bit until the stupid who done it bullshit is off my tv and we move to another segment. Pro Wrestling is a strange buisness, either you love it or you hate it, either you understand it or you don't, either you take pro wrestling seriously or just sit back and realize it's just a storyline that will go one for a certain amount of time and when it's over, it will be more than likely forgotten and barely mentioned at all. This is Pro Wrestling and it's a strange buisness, get used it and enjoy...or get the hell out of it.

There not using two villians in this movie are they? I really hate when movies do that.
-
That's because a lot of people at the time, either had heat with New Jack or just didn't trust him. Good guy though.
-
I full heartly agree with you about that. The Back In Black dvd had a lot of potential, but for whatever reason WWE didn't make it as it should have been and really only covered the WWE stint of the nWo. WWE really screwed that one up.

Umm, considering he organizes a man to shoot Dr. Gordon's wife AND daughter in part 1 if Dr. Gordon doesn't kill Adam, I don't think this one is out of his realm. Jigsaw said he despises murderers, yet he tried to kill Danny Glover. Can you blame Jigsaw? I mean, have you seen Gone Fishing?
