Ok I made my team for the week and its a "Hit Or Miss" team. Either they'll all get a lot of points and I'll stay on top or I'm fucked and I'm going to descend through the ranks. Here's my team. Finlay John Cena Kane Kurt Angle Rey Mysterio Rob Van Dam Sabu The way I see it, Cena, Angle, Mysterio, RVD, and Sabu will at least be on Raw or Smackdown along with the PPV and the WWE vs ECW show. Finlay and kane may not be on the PPV or WWE vs ECW but at least their involved in major storylines with Raw and Smackdown. Like I said, my team is a "Hit or Miss" team.

Double Post!

Man, I realize now that we should have gotten 10,000 more since there's so many more people to choose from. I'm having trouble picking a team right now.
-
I wonder how seating will be set up at the ECW arena. I also wonder if CZW will try and do anyting to prevent them from working that arena.
-
I think its best to choose people who we know will be on at least either Raw or Smackdown, be on the ECW vs WWE show, and be on the pay-per-view. So guys like RVD, Cena, Angle, Sabu, Mysterio, etc..etc..etc.
-
Awesome we get more choices, but bummer we don't get more money. Its going to be harder to pick people now.

On Saturday, AAA had a lucha show on tv and there was a La Parka, now I can't remember if CMLL or AAA made the fake La Parka. Can someone please tell me if that was the fake La Parka or not? Hell is La Parka going by La Parka in Mexico or is he going by L.A. Park? Mexican wrestling is confusing.....I couldn't even tell what the midget wrestling match was. I think it was 3 out of 4 falls, but fuck I don't know.

-The Spirt Squad gimmick will be doing Heat or Velocity work after Summerslam. -Smackdown really has no storylines going right now, except for the King Booker storyline. -This new Kane storyline is really intresting and I want to see where it goes. Except I don't like the Pajama Kane outfit that Kane II wore last monday. -I hope we get to see Kane II in other outfits, like he's the evolution of Kane. -I'm surprised that the only ECW wrestler vs ECW wrestler match annouced so far is Sabu vs Mysterio and I don't really understand why its for the title. -I do think at least one of the titles will change hands at ONS, and I'm thinking that it's Cena's due to Vince being on Raw so much, where he could award the title back to Cena, in same way or another, but that might make Cena turn heel so who knows. -I have training in half an hour and my sunburn is peeling on the back of my neck so I'm not sure if I should train. I'm sure my trainers and follow traniees want dead skin on their hands, espically mine. (ok thats not WWE at all, but its on my mind) -I'll admit ECW on Sci-fi channel is the oddest choice for programming I have really seen in quite sometime......well actually I take that back. The Manshow on G4 wins that one. ECW on Sci-fi comes in 2nd. -ECW needs more airtime on Smackdown. Its been getting a lot on Raw but nothing is really happening on Smackdown. Unless you count video packages ECW air time. -I think Cena should turn heel soon and I think it should be done by pairing him with Vince and Cena completely drops the "gangsta" gimmick and becomes a completely corporate guy. Then we get HHH vs Cena in reverse roles for Summerslam.

In ring skills matter to those who have watched wrestling for quite a while. Of course Mic skills are important, but wrestling is still wrestling, the quality of the matches are what are important. It was Cena's skills, or lack of them, that helped turn people against him. When the people saw him beating people who were clearly far more talented in the ring it made hating him easier, because they felt him undeserving and felt Cena was being pushed down their throats. If Cena was capable of looking even half way as talented as the likes of Jericho, Angle or Michaels, it might not have been so bad, but they could see Cena was nowhere as talented in the ring, and they reacted accordingly. Ring skills might not matter as much as they used to, but when you're facing guys who the fans see as very talented workers, and you're always beating them, you better be at least talented enough to hang with them, or the fans will turn on you in a heartbeat. Actually I don't think it was his weak mic skills, it was really his mic skills that got him to turn face in the first place. It was however that Cena was beating people with a few moves are getting his ass handed to him that started making his current run with the title and being a face, stale as all fuck. I think it really started at Wrestlemania 21 when basically JBL controlled their entire match, then all of a sudden Cena hit the FU and it was over. And Pong.....do we really have to make you our new "RAWMVP"?
-
Maybe the one JBL sold out as well?
-
Because he's in the WWE.
-
You are joking right?

Normally what I look for my choices are those who are in some kind of angle/push, where odds are that wrestler will have a match. Which right now, is hard to pick anyone who is having an angle right now. There isn't much going on with WWE right now. The only angles going on right now is Edge/Foley are Hardcore, Vince and the spirt squad vs DX, Umaga's push, and really at the moment Smackdown doesn't have a ongoing angle other than King Booker T. I would consider Kahli vs Taker but that hasn't really lead up to anything except for promos from Kahli.

Ah I get it now, you're Republican. To regards to your answer towards my question I gave you earlier. What HTQ did for us is the same as if I was standing right next to him and asked him if I could read the newsletter. All he did was post what it said to us and shared it with us. No one here, copied it, made dozens of copies, and started selling them for their own profit. HTQ just posted some of the WON on here so we could discuss it. Thats all he did. Get over it. Its nothing differant than what you posted with the quotes from the Cornette interview on your site. Get the hell off your high horse and stop preaching to us about what we should and shouldn't post on this website. If you have an issue with these posts, don't go into them and go rat us out to Meltzer. HTQ did nothing wrong, and we did nothing wrong by reading what he posted. No one made "Illegal" copies of the WON and started selling it to make a profit. And honestly, thanks HTQ and the others who post the newsletter on here. I for one really apprecite the fact you guys actually buy and read the WON and then take the time to post tidbits or more about stuff regarding the WWE or TNA on the forums. I'm sorry if Hass and his fit has made you guys think that we don't all apprecite the time and effort you guys take to post this stuff but we really all do. Hopefully Hass's little fit here doesn't detour you guys from posting this stuff in the future.

I'll care more about that match than either of the single matches. What day is the show? June 7th?
-
Hey, you respect Sabu! "Broken down has been"? Your fucking kidding me right? Sabu is still one of the best in-rin performers there is and he's going to draw a auidence to the new ECW shows. You should really re-think that statement.
-
Don't close it, I'm sure people have plenty to say about the actual news but Hass's little fit sorta sidetracked everyone.
-
Let me ask you a question. If me and you were hanging out and you got your copy of the newsletter and I asked you if I could read it, and you handed it to me so I could read it. Would you consider that stealing?
-
You must have missed the first ten thousand words of this post... The funny thing is I have a feeling I am probably going to get banned for not muffling my discontent with stealing Dave Meltzer's work. I don't think we're stealing anything. We're not making a profit off his work, if anything it's being shared with everyone here.
-
Hass...shut up. No one is doing anything wrong by posting the notes from the newsletter. No one is going out and typing out every little thing its saying. Things related to the WWE and TNA are only being posted. So please shut up about it, your not going to stop people from typing it out, just please shut up about it.
-
I like this idea a lot but the RVD vs Sabu match should happen on the first ECW show. Thats the kind of match that would draw numbers.
-
Then Venkman is mine!!!!
-
Are these real?

I'll give you a prime example. The Smackdown taping in San Diego last month. Most people there were only going to see Rey Mysterio, as he was the only advertised guy for the event when tickets went on sale. When was the last time Smackdown in the US had a sellout crowd, anyway? They could have cared less about the rest of the card. They wanted see a good showing of their hometown boy. Which explains the less than "markish" response when the hometown guy (who is supposed to be the champion and top face) was made to tlook like a total joke. Yeah, they could have booed Umaga out of the building, it certainly would have been a welcome response for WWE to see that he's getting over, but the people were silent, not in disbelief, but because they were watching shit. People on the West Coast are fickle if anything. One week they will go crazy for something, only to be watching it while sitting on their hands the whole time. They definately are not "sheep." Less than markish response? The hell are you talking about? That crowd didn't sit on their hands when Mysterio got beat and then JBL cut a promo on Mysterio. The crowd boo'ed. The crowd wasn't silent and didn't get up start leaving. That example you just used is really a load of crap. Besides Umaga and Mysterio aren't even on the same show. Also what your talking about is something differant from what we're talking about. Your talking about a wrestler getting no reaction at all because the fans just don't care. We're talking about the crowds not knowing how to react to a certain angle. Your talking about the California crowds not giving a shit about the product while we're discussing why Cena is being cheered so much now.

ECW was a regional federation, so it needs to be treated like one. It needs to be introduced to the West Coast first, before it is going to get the response WWE wants. You wouldn't take Ring of Honor away from its Eastern Coast roots in New York and Philadelphia, bring it to the West Coast without explaining exactly what it is, and then stare in shock as the fans don't exactly know how to respond. ECW was not popular on the West Coast. The fans in California and Washington, among other states, need to be conditioned to care about this federation first before anything else. WWE should NOT be running ECW house shows and TV shows on the west coast for at least the first year of its development. Let the fans in that region grow accustomed to what the federation actually is. Initially, you need to localize it in the portion of the United States it was most popular. Once the West Coast fans become familiar with the product, THEN you carry it out there. You can blame WWE for running these storylines in the entirely wrong places, because they should have been better prepared. They knew when they planned to hold One Night Stand, so they should have taken care to place shows in towns that were actually familiar with ECW. This is the best statement about ECW on the west coast, I have read, good job Untouchable Let me set another example, living on the West Coast, I didn't care for ECW at first. I didn't care for ECW or even cared to watch ECW before ECW got on TNN. Being on the West Coast, ECW came off to me as people just bashing each other with chairs and its just hardcore wrestling, but I was also coming out of my shell as a mark and getting smarter to the buissness at the time. When ECW got on TNN and I could watch it more regularly and thats when I became a fan and the only reason why I started watching ECW while it was on TNN because I was bored with WWF and WCW. I remember a few days before it first aired on TNN, a friend of mine told me that ECW was going to be TNN on Friday nights and I ended up telling him that I didn't care because I found it to be "garbage wrestling", but I tuned in anyways just for the hell of it and I became a instant fan when I realized that I was wrong and that ECW wasn't garbage wrestling, it was something more and better. Let me try to write this statement out clearly, I'm sorry if it doesn't make any sense. So without that national exposure that ECW got at first with TNN and me being on the west coast and not understanding what ECW truely was without that national exposure, I wouldn't have cared for ECW then and I wouldn't have cared for the revival now. Thank God I started watching ECW on TNN.
