WWE General Discussion - October 2007

Oh no, not at all. With someone like Cody Rhodes, he's gonna have to be really built up. Cody should be around for quite awhile, hopefully, so I don't see why taking a long time to build him up and making it look like he's a threat to any title would be a problem after a months of building him up as a better in-ring wrestler....but then again certain fans would just remind us later down the road that he was Randy Orton fodder at one point.

Because it's pro wrestling and normal fans will forget it within 3 months time. Now I say normal fans because "smarky" fans will remind everyone about how Orton beat the hell out of him and one person will actually log all of losses in a thread that's no longer pinned.

    Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The good thing about Nintendo is when they delay something, they explain why it was delayed. Remember when Zelda got delayed, Nintendo wanted to make it bigger and better, therefore I have no issue with Nintendo delaying it to make Brawl better.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

I'm going to comment on this, I know there was an earlier post on it too but same thing... I'm not exactly thrilled with the WWE right now, they keep firing people and blowing angles over stupid shit. Is Teddy Hart an ass? Sure but firing him just blows another angle, and if being an ass is grounds to be fired Shawn Michaels would have never had a career. They KNEW before they ever signed him he was an ass so to fire him for being an ass is retarded in my view. Wrestling is a sleazy business, to act like all these people are highly professional is a bit much....if a guy is low card never will be cannon fodder fine fire him for doing something stupid. YOU DO NOT blow angles because the guy acted like a jerk. The problem right now has become that the WWE is to big for it's britches, they are blowing angles and guys who can draw over petty shit, if they had another company competing with them they wouldn't be firing guys for this shit. Did people get fired for this stupid petty shit when WCW was competing with them every week? I don't think so....This a company that fires people for being unprofessional yet Randy Orton is champion, hows this make sense? If they wanna take this overly professional stance then apply it to everyone....but no it's just like anything else... you can be a big dick major asshole if you are a favorite son of the company but if you are not 1 screw up you're out the door. Just like with pushes, some guys will get 82 chances other guys get 1. The Krissy Vaine story has morphed a bit, but O' Reilly walked with her but it appears her and Michelle McCool didn't like each other and once the WWE's resident cum bucket informed her fuck buddy Taker of this he was telling management about it and Vaine was fucked from the get go..... Being a cum bucket has it's advantages....McCool has more influence than any female there due to her relationship with Taker and the higher ups liking her.. You do realize your talking about Teddy Hart, right? Your right, maybe the WWE shouldn't have gotten rid of Teddy, maybe they should have tried to do what so many have failed to do before and that's change his attitude...but this is Teddy Hart. The only person who should be blamed for blowing a major angle is Teddy Hart. He was given a chance to actually make some money and he blew it. You can't just blame the WWE for getting rid of Teddy if he was indeed fucking up. Though I do agree with you about certain people already on tv getting a lot of extra chances, Orton should have been let go a long time ago due to his major fuck ups, but he gets speical chances or something like that.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

The thing about Teddy Hart is that he comes off as dis-respectful (according to internet rumors and some of the stuff we KNOW he's done.) and wrestling is built on respect, espically with the WWE, so when it came to Teddy Hart why would anyone be shocked or surprised he was going to be let go. Teddy Hart wasn't going to last with the WWE, espically if he did actually get called up to either the Raw or Smackdown lockerroom.

    WrestleFanFest, Oct. 19th-Oct. 21st

The Malice At the Palace card has changed again, here's the updated card. Main Event: The Outsiders Hall and Nash vs Sid Vicious & A Mystery partner Hardcore Fatal 7 Way: Steve Corino vs Blue Meanie vs Vic Grimes vs Al Snow vs Kevin Sullivan, vs The Sandman vs A Mystery Wrestler Battle Of The Giants: Rikishi vs Abyss The Ultimo Dragon vs The Great Muta NO DQ: Gail Kim vs Traci Brooks (Not on the PPV.) Sharkboy vs Black Pearl Dan Severn & Andrew "Test" Martian vs Gangrel & A Mystery Partner Legends Fatal 4 Tag Match: Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs Koko B. Ware & Dr. Death Steve Willams vs Kamala & One Man Gang vs Chavo Gurrero Sr. & Mil Mascaras Lance Hoyt vs Orlando Jordan Luke Hawk & Alkatrazz vs Billy Kidman & Marty Jannety The Steiner Bros vs Team 3D (Not on the PPV) The Knight of the indies battleroyal is also due to take place, but that's now not advertised on the card so I'm not sure if that will take place before the Pay Per View goes to air or if it'll be on the airing, either way I'm sure it will be on the dvd. Gail Kim vs Traci Brooks and Team 3D vs The Steiners are not airing on the pay per view because TNA vs TNA wrestlers are not allowed to wrestle each other for other promotions on tv. The matches are suppose to be on the dvd though. Abyss vs Sharkboy wasn't suppose to air on the pay per view either but since Abyss is now wrestling Rikishi while Sharkboy is now wrestling Black Pearl, I have no idea if their matches will air on the pay per view now. I think they will, but I'm not sure. Those matches should make the dvd as well. Basically the full card will be on the dvd just certain matches won't be on the PPV.

    SmackDown Spoilers

I'm starting to think Burchil is OVW for life. ECW need a guy like The Ripper. I think your right, Burchil would be a good fit for ECW but ECW needs a face to work with Purchil. Purchil is a heel with the ripper gimmick right? I haven't seen it yet, saying that does anyone have a link so I can see him wrestle as the Ripper? Not the best example of what he can do but it was the first whole match I found... Burchill-Deuce Thanks but damn that was a ugly match, but thanks for trying.

    The OAO RAW Thread 10/08/07

There's a lot of things wrong with Raw, their World Title scene is pretty stale, either it's been the same champion for over a year, the same guys going after the title, or we (The fans) expect the same wrestlers to win the title. Raw needs new faces in that title scene and new faces, wrestlers who fans don't expect to win the title but actually want to win the World Title on Raw, should be winning the title instead of being jobbed to a guy whose failing hard as a champion, when it's pretty apprrant the fans would love the guy whose losing to become the champion. Another problem is when guys are actually getting over as a face or heel and the fans are really getting into the wrestler as a face or a heel (loving or hating him), they're pushed is stopped short and all of a sudden that person is either off tv, goes on a giant loosing streak, moved away from someone they're having a good program with, or they're let go. The Sandman is a prime example of how bad the WWE fucked up with letting him go. He was really getting over with the fans, and the entire time on Raw, he barely did anything, and he was still getting over. Hell, I honestly believe if they did some kind of Steve Austin gimmick push with the Sandman, he woud have been the most over wrestler on Raw, but he got let go. Raw really needs a facelift. They need to put new faces in the World title scene, they need new fresh faces as World title holders. Raw needs to push the mid-card title as well. The IC title scene also needs a facelift as well. They're are so many wrestlers on Raw who would be perfect in that area but are either kept off tv or have a quick feud with the IC title holder, quickly lose, and the entire thing is forgotten a week or two later. Remember when wrestlers used to CHASE after the IC title? Remember how important the IC title seemed when wrestlers would go after whoever the IC champion was? Raw needs stuff like that to happen again, make programs and wrestlers and EVERY title important again. That's a reason why I like ECW so much, there might be only one title but it seems EVERYONE is after it or two wrestlers are involved in a program that is getting enough attention and is actually being pushed enough to help get over and isn't just forgotten a week or two later.

The low rating for Raw doesn't surprise me, Raw has been boring for quite sometime now. Sure there are some matches here and there that have been good to watch, but the overall product for Raw has sucked.

    Smackdown Vs Raw 08

........so you didn't play 2007? I played it a couple of times, but I changed the controller scheme to be like the older games. When I went through the control set up in the 08 demo, you only had two choices. The second one required the dpad for movement which through me off a litlte bit. D-pad movement is old school. I actually prefer d-pad movement in wrestling game over the analog stick. It's also just the demo, so there's still a chance you will be able to have more options to change the control sceme in the actual game. Please don't tell me Corvon's finisher is the armbar. It's not the pounce? Period. Haha yeah I know, but I'm a youngin man. I'll I know is the analog stick. I just played the demo again today, and once you get used to the controls it's actually kind of fun to play. Rey also does a springboard Phoenix Splash. Wrap your mind around that shit. ...How old are you? I'm only 23 and your making me feel old.

....psst, it's a work. and if you want to get technical about it, and just for the fact I get to prove you wrong. Lance Storm and Sean Morley defended their tag team titles against Rob Van Dam and Kane at the Wrestlemania 19 Heat pre-show. No technically you're wrong. They won via interference from Bubba Dudley. Also, Storm pinned RVD. Morley did not pin Kane. But they did win.

Approaching the 10th anniversary of the...

    1. Hebnar works for TNA now. 2. Odds are HBK won't be back by Survivor Series. 3. McMahon is the only one to continue to beat the dead horse about it but since the 3 other guys who were involved are either not on tv or not working with the WWE, it most likely won't be mentioned.
