WWE General Discussion - March 2009

I don't know about you, but i'd wear a Savage jacket in a heartbeat.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if he OD or drugs had something to do with it. I know someone who wrestled with him on a show about a year or so ago and he just kept dozing off or started to go out of it for a few seconds. RIP Test.

This Time Let's Not Eat the Bones

I'll take the case! (no I won't cause the mod thing isn't open)

    Xbox 360

I'd also like to add a few titles as well. Fable 2 Rock band 2 Elder Scrolls Oblivon, it's an old game but there are tons of stuff you can do and tons that you can dowload. Plus it's not a shooter. and if you really like MMOs, Final Fantasy XI but that's kinda a hit or miss MMO.

    The OAO WWE DVD Thread

Well, the "rise" would be the NWA becoming WCW..then WCW rose up a little bit, then had a bit of a downfall and then kept falling then the nWo came along and WCW really rose back up, then it fell hard.

    2009 Hall of Fame

And neither team held the WWF Tag Titles together, despite everyone except Koko B. Ware having held the belts later. Quick opinion time from someone who wasn't watching back then: Better team...The New Foundation or High Energy? The New Foundation won once in awhile. But High Energy had those neon pants... with Checkers!

    Bonaduce: Shaking the TNA Foundation

Definately true there. Didn't he work an indy show not too long ago? Yeah Todd's working for a promotion in San Francisco called Fog City Wrestling. Bonaduce is kinda hit or miss for me. I'm sure the guy can really bring it and really be "on" but if he decides not to play ball last minute, it could be a giant trainwreck.

    Awesome Wrestling Pictures

Oh shit, now I have to draft the Barbarian in the second wrestling draft. Nobody steal my pick. Whenever I hear stories like this I always think bullshit. Someone can't beat up 17 cops, as if someone poses a physical threat to that degree they would be taken down with batons and beaten (with likely broken bones, and potentially deadly injuries) or dead from a gunshot. No one is tougher then a bullet. Plus, he would still be in jail for assaulting an officer. He wouldn't be free the next day. I've met the guy before and I totally believe this story. He was very nice but I wouldn't want to piss him off.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Yes. The game is still really fun. I never did anything online with a friend until after I beat it and even then it was more so to just get items that I needed to find after I downloaded the DLC.

    Kizarny released

That sucks for the guy, the WWE could have at least tried to think up another gimmick for him. I still think the WWE should have brought in the psycho clowns from AAA and made a circus stable.

    Legends of WrestleMania

I really didn't like the demo. Everything just felt sluggish and things that should be easy to do, aren't. Could anyone else run or go down the aisle towards the sign? I couldn't do either. I think if I got to do more in the demo, I could maybe like the game a little better but right now, this is just a rental.
  12. I started to wonder something last night after watching a re-run of "That 70's Show". I started to wonder if the characters Bob Kelso from "Scrubs" has any relation to Kelso from "That 70's Show"? I normally would have never wondered this but while I was watching "That 70's show", and Kelso did the same "What has two thumbs" joke that Bob Kelso normally does on Scrubs. Maybe it's just a fluke but something I just randomly noticed and started wondering.

    2009 Hall of Fame

I missed Raw, so I just wanna confirm that Koko B. Ware is being inducted by Honkey Tonk Man?

    ECW Spoilers for 3/10

You're really the only one who goes against anyone who says the ECW is a world title. That kinda sucks that Christian is in the Money in the Bank match, I was really hoping him and Swagger would have an awesome match at Wrestlemania. Maybe we'll get Swagger vs Dreamer at Wrestlemania. That'd be pretty interesting.

    WWE Folder sucks dick

You sure didn't sound so negative about me when I was supplying WON for TSM for 42 straight weeks! That was before you clogged up threads with every piece of trivial news you could copy and paste from PWI. "Hey everyone, some totally irrelevant WWE developmental talent was released. Here's his tl;dr blog about it" Boy, we sure wanted to know the latest on that major news item. Actually, I appreciated him posting that. If he's posting random news in Gen Discussion, that's fine. That's the purpose of the thread. I never liked how you felt the need to clog that thread up with everything though. I agree with Bob, fully here. It's one thing to post something that could be actually news worthily, like the guy getting released due to his tattoos, but posting everything under the sun is fucking ridiculous and annoying.

    2009 Hall of Fame

Vince wants to treat his HoF with some measure of legitimacy and the current inductees make it a fairly credible HoF, despite a couple of glaring omissions. And while there have been some questionable additions in the early days, over the last few years for almost every inductee there's been a good argument for putting them in, even kayfabe ones. With Koko, you can't even do that. I can't remember Koko B. Ware getting a major push in the ol'WWF, pretty much ever. Hillbilly Jim would have a better argument to make the Hall for crying out loud. High Energy! Plus Koko B. Ware was really really over.

    WWE Folder sucks dick

Funkenstein isn't that bad, he posts stupid shit here and there but for the most part he's pretty good. Venk, Enigma is an idiot. You did the right thing for moving his post to the Hall of Fame thread. I mean why would you post something that concerns the Hall of the fame in a thread that has nothing to do with the Hall of fame? That makes no sense. I still feel the same about Ross. He's a sad sad little pot head.
  18. I find it funny you recognize Corino and not the Sandman Bob. Why? I just think it's weird for Sandman to be working with Muta, Corino is all over the Japanese scene. That actually took place at the WrestleFanFest at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in Oct of 2007 and you're right the booking for the show was really weird. This was the fanfest that basically fell apart due to the guy putting the whole convention on basically lying to everyone, fucking everything over, and letting everything go to chaos. Big Vision Entertainment who was taping the Friday night wrestling show ended up taking over the booking of the show, but a lot of things got changed even after they took the booking over. It was originally scheduled to be Great Muta vs Ultimo Dragon in a regular match and The Sandman and Steve Corino were suppose to be in this 7 man hardcore match and what I think happen, though I'm not to sure how exactly the story goes, Corino got the main event changed to himself w/ Franchine vs The Sandman w/ Baby Doll vs The Great Muta w/ Bobcat in a hardcore match. The booking for the main event was pretty cool for the crowd cause a lot of surprises happen. Corino and Francine came out and cut a promo for a little while, then the Sandman came out (drunk by the way) and cuts a promo then introduces Baby Doll as his equalizer for Francine. Before the match starts, Baby Doll who is on the outside swings the cane at Corino's feet and Corino gets on the mic and demands that I DQ the Sandman and Baby Doll and make him the winner. I then cut a promo saying that it's a hardcore match, which means no DQ and no count outs. I ring the bell and get things under way then The Great Muta makes his entrance and adds himself to the match. As we wait for Muta to get to the ring, Corino and Sandman are now saying things to try and make me laugh. Muta comes into the wrestling and they all get the match going. There was a cool spot with all three of them and a guardrail, Baby Doll and Francine got into a cat fight where I had to try and pull them off one another, Muta sprayed the mist into Sandman's face, and then just when Cornio is about to hit Baby Doll, DDP slides in and gives Corino the diamond cutter (I actually didn't know DDP was getting involved.). Muta then hit Corino with the Shining Wizard and then locks a STF on him to tap Corino out. The crowd loved it. Does a video of this exist? Youtube, anyone? I'm curious. Yes and no. There was suppose to be dvds made of the weekend, people even pre-ordered the dvds, but they'll never see the light of day. Big Vision Entertainment (put out the XPW, Hardcore Homecoming, Forever Hardcore, etc, etc, etc....dvds) filmed the entire show and some other stuff that happen over the weekend. After the convention was over, no one knew what was going on with the dvds. The "promoter" who put everything together and fucked people over and fucked things up, had already skipped out of town and had taken down all the websites and wasn't responding to anyone. After about two weeks or so, I contacted Kris Kloss, whose really associated with Big Vision Entertainment and asked him about the dvd. I just wanted to get one even if I had to buy it. He sent me a reply saying he'd talk to the owner of the company, Kevin, I forget his last name right now. After a day or so, Kris got back to me saying that the dvd wasn't going to be produced unless all the wrestlers got paid for the Friday night show. So basically it'll never come out. Which I think it a total load of shit and is Big Vision Entertainment's excuse for not wanting to put it together. A lot of wrestlers didn't get paid, the 'promoter" skipped out on a lot of them but if that was Big Vision Entertainment's concern, they could have at least gave 10% of what they made off the dvds to some of the wrestlers. Granted it wouldn't have been a whole lot but something is better than nothing. Not only that, but people actually pre-ordered the dvd and had already paid full price of it, and Big Vision Entertainment couldn't even want to get it out to those people and those people didn't even get a fucking refund. What pisses me off the most about their excuse is that even though some wrestlers were not paid or hadn't gotten paid yet, they still went out there and wrestled. Big Vision could have made the dvd into a shoot/show interview. They could have interviewed some the wrestlers about the convention and about how they're experience was and then have the show as a 2nd disc or something but they just decided they didn't want to put it out. The only other person who I know got the entire show on tape was Cheerleader Melissa's husband, but after the weekend, he deleted everything and only kept her match from the show. I have a ton of pictures on myspace though. www.myspace,com/scroby

    Watchmen

I bet Rorschach's mask will be explained in the director's cut. I got the feeling there was probably many people in the audience wondering "why does this guy's mask have ink that moves?", and some people were probably puzzled by Bubastis in the film as well. Since they never explained Veidt's genetics technology in the movie, I bet some people were thinking "there's a blue tiger with horns for no reason." I did that with the tiger. I had no idea why the tiger was there and figured that maybe it had something to do with the temple. It was very random for me.

That's not where I heard it and no. And from what I heard they're still together. So where did you hear it from? And no, "my source" is not acceptable.

    Jericho and Kelly Kelly

Jericho and Kelly have been an open secret for a while now. I'm only mentioning it, because they're not hiding it anymore and it's likely going to come out soon anyway. If you don't believe it, fine. We might be inclined to at least find it credible if you would cite the source of this information. I've actually heard it from a few people, but had it confirmed by one person in particular, who I trust because they've been right about these matters, time and time again and know a lot of stuff months before it even comes out due to their various connections. Andddddddd your done. Seriously you're just assuming you know what you're talking about, when you really have no idea what is really going on between the two. And instead of stating where you heard the "news" from, the only thing you could put out there was "Ummmmm....well.....my....my own source told me.", and by your own source, you probably mean some 15 year old kid. There is also no proof in the pictures other than being out together at a club or some kind of party.
