I'm curious. What's the biggest name you've ever worked with? Pick a name that's big "right now" and an "all time" selection. Please note I don't follow wrestling all that much.Honestly....that's kind of a hard question to answer, espically since you really don't follow wrestling all that much. I would say The Great Muta, but since you're not a big wrestling fan, you may not know who that is. So I'm going to throw out The Sandman's name....umm if it'd be easier I could make a list and you could go from that.

Sounds like fun. I enjoy reading these.Thank you, it makes me happy to know that anyone enjoys reading my posts.

Yes. There is so much stuff people don't realize about Refereeing. It's mainly a lot of small things but when you use those small things, it helps out a match and whatever else a lot.

Even though I got a running powerslam and powerbombed into a giant pile of thumbtacks ... I can't wait to work for them again in June. You sure you didn't get hit in the head a few times with that cane, too?
So what was worse, the tacks or the smooch?
I think its a draw.

Well then what about the "real" wrestlers?I'm just curious to know how much time is spent preparing for a match 'n stuff.
match wise...normally the wrestlers in the match will plan it out the day of the show... or at least get ides and work them out with each other the day of their match. If you mean like getting ready, and other stuff....same thing.

Wrestling question:About how much of your time do you train regarding wrestling moves, and how much is spent in the weight room, etc.?
Training on wrestling moves? Till I get it right and know enough on how to use it.
Weight Room? I haven't been working out, I sorta wanted to keep my skinny figure because a Ref who sorta has a muscular tone....not so believable when a guy whose has less muscular tone hits a ref who has more of a muscular tone doesn't really seem belieavable when the Ref gets ko'ed due to a clothesline. Though Helfyre wants to start me and the rest of the trainees to start lifting a bit starting next month.

I say this to everyone who gives the old, "the site ate my entry" line.If you're going to type anything more than 100 words, do it first on a word-processing program, then copy and paste it to an entry.
yeah, your right, I should have copied it but by the time I realized I didn't, it was already at the next screen.

I'd suggest linking this entry to future entries when talking about these people. Just do a Click here for more info, or something like that. And NoCal, who are the posters here you know in real life? I'm guessing Scroby is one.
Thanks KKK, I like that idea and did it in my newest blog. I also went ahead and made it so everyone in that blog is in ABC order to make it easier to find wrestlers.
Mike and me know each other because of the board. He lives in the northern California area while I live in the bay area, we're basically an hour away..longer if you want to count traffic. He hosted Summerslam and I asked if I could come up and enjoy it with him and a few other posters from here as well and he said I could and so I go up there every once in awhile.

Damn that is a lot of people to drop on us at once....well I guess we can use it as a guide for your future stories, since it will be hard to remember all that, haha.I actually wanted to use it as a guide. I don't feel like explaining a lot of wrestlers in blogs, takes to much space.

I'm a bit confused (no surprise there): So as a "ref" are you actually supposed to check for "outside" equipment as the wrestlers enter the ring?Yes, but if a wrestler has something on them and wanted me to either to not catch it or catch it and get rid of it, they would tell me. Modest never let me know about the ring thing till he got on the mic.
When I checked Modest, the only thing Modest was wearing was his boots and his trunks, so thats what I checked. I didn't bother to check his hands because I thought he had nothing on them. Now that I think about it, he actually put both hands in front of my face when I was checking him but I still didn't catch it. Maybe he didn't have anything on them and was pulling a rib on me, i'm not 100% sure, but I'm still happy that I was able to impress him.

Sounds awesome. Hey, when you work a show, are you allowed to bring anyone with you to just be an observer/watcher of the show?Depends what show it is and if I can have you do anything while at the show.
