Local sports radio show of course talking about the Ron Prince situation, and talk about his successor is less than optimistic. Because Kansas State is also in the midst of replacing their retiring university president, there's a question of how that change could affect the hiring process. As for possible replacements, I missed the early part of the show so I don't know if they brought up Venables only to quickly dismiss him as a possibility because I haven't heard his name as all in the time I've been listening. They say because of the timing of this, it may be difficult to pull in a good name, and so the only options (if you stay within those having prior affiliations to KSU) are either Dennis Franchione or Bill Snyder pulling a Bud Grant. There's also the long-shots (as in, probably no fuckin' way) of Gary Patterson or Jim Leavitt. If they were to go outside the "family", they might throw out a boatload of money to lure in Phil Fulmer.

Ron Prince announces resignation The article doesn't say if it's effective immediately or if he's going to ride out to season's end, but either way I'm glad he's decided to step down at this point. Now, hopefully, KSU will try and make a more successful run at picking up Brent Venables

On the other side, what's Bush going to do come 1/20? He's unpopular, uncharismatic and a whole bevy of other negative adjectives, so it's highly unlikely he'll make the book/speech rounds like Clinton... Does he just go off into some hole and hide for the next several years?

Wait, why would Cheech post the TSM HOF thread in the MMA folder? Oh, that's right, he didn't

One of the board's greatest posters has engaged in a variety of acts which have stained the forum, and he must now live with the consequences of those acts.

You're just going through your old high school stats book grasping for straws at this point

Wife drove by the polling place on her way to work at 6AM (she advance voted) and the lot was completely packed, line out into the middle of the lot, and some people even having to park at the restaurant across the street. I went in at 10AM and it wound up taking longer to get my breakfast at the aforementioned restaurant than it did to vote. I remember the old lever machines, but I haven't seen one since 1992 when I went with my mother as she voted. Don't remember what machine they had in '96 though. In '00 when I was in Minnesota I had a paper ballot, and in '04 I had a touch screen. This year I went paper again as the line was much shorter than for the machines. Also, don't be dissing George Noory

Via predictive modeling, I can determine that Shitty will suck in 99 out of his next 100 posts. These posts have the potential to cause others to suck in turn, resulting in possible catastrophic loss for the forum. We have to increase our reserves in order to counteract this possibility, so I suggest everyone not named Shitty increase their posting by at least 10% so we can accumulate enough posts to cover this exposure

just as clarification, I do know Fulmer won the championship back in 1998... I've largely wiped that entire season from my mind though after what happened to Kansas State. I didn't find Fulmer hoisting the crystal football anywhere near as appalling as, say, Tressel or Mack Brown

Did Fulmer actually win a national championship at some point, or was that just some nightmare I had

yeah, I heard Peyton specifically talk about the headset time in an interview, about how they cut it off at the 15 second mark to prevent coaches from warning you about last second defense shifts
