I like Barlow's powerful voice and thought it did work well for IE. It is a credit to Schaeffer though that he could turn around and make the music work for Tim (I've always thought the "Ripper" nickname was silly and altogether dumb) Owens though. Owens can be good when he mixes it up between a regular voice and his Halford voice, but when he sticks with the Halford voice for too long (ex: "The Reckoning") it is rather annoying. Anyways, since the thread has turned away from the original subject, here's just a few of the PM bands I'd recommend ahead of Dragonforce. IE and BG have already been noted Nevermore Iron Savior Hammerfall Sonata Arctica Kamelot Stratovarius Edguy

That's great and all, but you didn't really need a thread to tell us this. Also

Considered by some to be the forefather of death metal, even predating Death or Morbid Angel. The fact they only had two albums and an EP makes it easy to check them out. Start with Seven Churches.

If it's the 20th then you're going to Minneapolis. You should pick up Czech along the way and then tell the board of your grand Zappa adventure.

I'm planning on going to the KC show in October

Don't you judge Jerk!

You know what Jerk looks like?

Too bad

Pardon me for noticing that you frequently respond to obvious joke posts as though they were serious

I'm just glad they're trying something different after the last few years of "cutsey anthropomorphic animal adventures", and that the promos focus on the movie and not the celeb voice actors.

Can we officially end the "bump old threads" fad?

So iggy won't mind if we bump that thread where Kotz called him a massive tool -
Compared to the excitement of seeing Baby Geniuses 1, it was almost on par

I'd personally vote for Graphics since no one actually uses it for such and instead it's a lame No Holds Barred backup or something Masked Man of Density Rides Again
-
Yeah, that would be like blaming this board's shittiness on the CE Folder...

Quite a few tools promoting their utter piece of shite movies/books/whatever do deserve it, and I hate it when the host is all like "So tell me more about this fascinating work of yours! *slurp*" Of course, the host is probably getting some money on the side for assisting the promotion, so you can forgive them for being equally toolish

I wish more radio/TV hosts talked to their guests like that

Help me, I've got the Mama's Family theme song in my head.

Either he stuck his face in a sunlamp for too long or he just did four lines of coke -
While I applaud his efforts, askewniverse is fighting a losing battle

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread
Slayer replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
What's funny looking back now is that the hiatus between the CC and SFN runs wasn't that long (8 months), but at the time it felt like for-fucking-ever Speaking of forever, we've passed the decade mark of MST ending on CC and are coming up on the decade of it's inception on SFN. Shit. -
Well, if he didn't do one or the other, I doubt he did both in conjunction

While I have seen some minute libertarian tendencies from you, I've also seen you do a lot of "grrrr ee-vil rich people", which tends to run hand-in-hand with the "grrrr ee-vil corporations" credo, though as far as the latter is concerned, you're nowhere near on the level of, say, NoCalMike Essentially, your main problem is that you're really high-strung and easily angered Nah

They could justify it under the premise that it was the 80's and everyone else had their own image issues. Of course, they still dress in all leather outfits even to this day. I don't care. They still make good metal, I think.
