Oh wow. You decided to mock what I said. Wonderfully pathetic attempt at humor. Although, I give you credit for at least trying. It's FlikAB

Starvenger : Reality TV :: Bob Barron : SNL

Thanks for the insightful analysis, Slayer. I already stated my problems with reality TV here Also, like someone said earlier, most of these shows are really just bad long-term game shows.

I wanted to order an iPod while I was on vacation and have it waiting for me when I got home, but that vacation drained my budget. Someday, someday...

I hate it when people piss on Reality TV as a whole, since there are some great shows out there, like The Mole and The Amazing Race. Wrong

When the hell did Flik become a tough guy

Because popular guys (and girls) in HS usually are complete tools

Frank Caliendo does an excellent Rome impression, both voice and personality

I've never watched Rome's ESPN show because I remember how horrible "The Last Word" was and I can't imagine this one being much better Rome's been a mixed bag for me, as there are reasons why I still listen which conflict with things that make me not want to listen. Why Rome's show is good: 1. The callers and e-mailers are hilarious 2. Rome is funny on occasion (but has gone downhill in the last couple years IMO) 3. He gets the biggest names for his interviews Why Rome's show sucks: 1. Rome has developed a huge fucking high-horse when it comes to condemning anyone who has done anything wrong. 1a. Because of that, the list of "run"-able (i.e. call terminating, for those not in the know) offenses has greatly increased over the years. I first started listening in '99 and I hear people getting run now for saying similar things that Rome used to laugh at. 1b. Similarly, Rome used to demand quality out of his callers, but now I hear horrible calls, with people stumbling all over their words and not really saying anything, being allowed to carry to the end. 2. Never allows any dissenting callers/opinions on his show. 2a. Back in '00, Rome was ragging on Scott Boras in typical Rome style. Boras calls Rome to take him to task. Rome's testicles suddenly disappear. 3. His interviews with aforementioned big names are, for the most part, very bland. Also, something that both amuses and slightly aggravates me at the same time is, over the last five years, Rome has taken a complete 180 on Nascar (he used to hate it and make fun of it all the time, but suddenly found racing Jesus), but still hates on soccer and amateur wrestling.

They just announced today that Jim Rome's show is going daily Take that for what you will

The organization is really what hurts it. They have to be organized to fly a plane into a building, or drive thousands of homosexuals to suicide. This one made me laugh a lot more than it probably should have As for religion, I can sum it up in one sentence: "God didn't make man, man made God." There, I just saved this thread from twenty more pages of IDRM rants

TRULY, THIS IS A GREAT DAY IN SPORTS MEDIA HISTORY

At least I'm not eating a hash brown dressed up like a hamburger

Now that would have been funny

I actually ate that Monster Thickburger while in Georgia... and I didn't think it was that good. It was just fat for the sake of being fat, and really, I need fresh veggies (lettuce onions and tomatoes) on my burger
-
I remember the Wichita McD's doing that in the mid and late 90's, but I haven't seen it since

On Monday I was driving back home from Georgia to Kansas, nearly every local/regional sports talk host I heard was mocking ESPN and Joe Buck for their overreaction to the incident. Hell, I happened to find Rush Limbaugh during the last half-hour of his show on Monday and he was getting on Berman and Buck for their "moral high-horse" Besides the constant airing of the commercial, the thing that pissed me off about this is that, were you to watch the series, instead of allowing you to figure out what Madsen (who is a good actor IMO) is about and letting his character develop, they just tell you right away that "this guy is a scumbag and you should hate him." It's like they took Subtlety 101 from Vince McMahon
-
And just for the fuck of it, I went 3-1 in my WC weekend picks

Mora isn't really on the choking ladder. Yeah he didn't do much with Peyton and Co, but then again neither has Dungy. Besides, we know whose fault it is anyways ("Aw shucks") On top of that, he led four Saints teams without any real stars to the playoffs, unless you consider Morten Andersen a star. Also, what FS said.

Yes Cowher has made the SB, but on the other hand he's had HFA three different times in his career and failed to go to the SB. The one year he did go to the SB he had the #2 team in the AFC but benefited from Rottenheimer being himself and going #1 and out in the divisional round.
-
Hahaha Cowher is one step below Rottenheimer on the coaching choke ladder
