Edited for accuracy This coming from Mr. I only brought the hat to ride the bandwagon but will return the hat because it's "too big" after the series is over. the "edited for accuracy" joke has got to be getting up there with all the other lame, old, tired jokes that get thrown about this forum... Agreed +1 Also, like MiB said, I'm not believing anything until I see/hear some official sources

A WHITE MAN DID IT

See, thats what the fuck I mean. Why for the FUCK everytime a BLACK man does something first, here comes ol' whitey doing it after him and getting all the credit for doing it first. Says the man who stole Fooster's act

His interim tenure on the field wasn't that long. He took over (from TE coach) as interim when Denny was fired with one game left in the '01 season (which I didn't agree with, but that's another post) where he had to coach a Spurgeon Wynn-led team (Culpepper and 2nd string Todd Bauman were both injured) against the playoff-bound defending SB champion Ravens. They didn't do to well (losing 19-3), but then again, that was the story of that season. In the offseason I was a bit surprised that he was retained and made head coach, but I don't recall how strong the coaching class of '02 was, either. The irony is that last year the line was horrible (giving up 200 yard games to Ahman Green, Tiki Barber and LT) while the secondary was good (most INTs in the NFL). This was an anomaly season though, as a tough line with porous secondary has been the norm for the last decade. At least the Colts benefit from good coaching, something Minnesota hasn't had since Denny left. Time will tell, but if Tice misses the playoffs again, he's as good as done (though I think he should have been fired for the Arizona debacle last year)

Don't forget his first film role in Robin Hood: Men in Tights "A black sheriff?!" "It worked in Blazing Saddles!" That was the first time I remember seeing him. The second time was in '95 when he had a series of appearances on Comedy Central's urban comedy show whose name escapes me, and that's when I got hooked on his comedic stylings.

Just another "kid gets kicked out of school for having something resembling a weapon but not really" case. While not as inane as the expulsions for a plastic lunch knife or a 1 inch long GI-Joe toy gun, it still shows where we are as a society right now Ironically, school officials will be so busy looking for faux weapons like these that they'll probably overlook when a kid brings in an actual weapon.

Tice should be gone at the end of the season, playoffs (in spite of him) or no playoffs (which would definitely warrant firing) This team has the talent to be a 14-2 top NFC contender, but his coaching is holding them back. Evidence from yesterday's game included the "challenge for 1st down on 3rd down" and calling for a Randy Moss flea-flicker near the end of the game... I'm getting tired of this. Vikings beat the Lions in Minnesota a couple weeks ago and Game 2 at Detroit is next week. If they lose that one, I'll pretty much concede the season

I am disappointed by the lack of an "I buried her in the backyard" post from Mr. Young

We'd just move on to using the Lions as the BUTT of our jokes. Seriously, we don't care about the Vikes anywhere near how we care about the Bears. It is the NFL's oldest rivalry so yeah I would hope Packers fans care more about the Bears in the negative way. Although I'm a bit biased as a Vikings fan, I fail to see any steam in the Packers-Bears rivalry... for one thing, in the time that I've been watching Minnesota (since '92), let's see how many playoff teams those three have fielded. Minnesota - 8 Green Bay - 9 Chicago - 2 That's why I don't see any strength in that rivalry anymore. Hell, Detroit's been to more playoffs (5) in that time period. Wait, why? Please explain. I still haven't received a response. Mexicans don't get responses Plus they'd look funny and out of place in Green Bay (which is what he was going for, I believe)

BUZZ. Aside from his lone SB year, Marino also reached the AFC title game the next year in '85 and also in '92. What's funny is that both times he lost to a WC team from his own division (Pats in '85, Bills in '92)

I've seen the Kawada/Misawa matches from the later 90's, but I could never for the life of me find the '94 match through any of my P2P channels

Well, I thought SP was pretty funny, at least The climax of the hour for me though was the end of DT when the insectoid pulls the pizza prank.

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread
Slayer replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
The host segments that have always stuck out in my head are the "Film Ventures opening movie credits" bit from Cave Dwellers and the "5000 Men and Monster Fighting Kit" segment from Gamera vs. Barugon
