I've never understood the difference between ROTY and SOTY either. I mean, I think I understand that ROTY goes to the artist and SOTY to the writer, but that still doesn't differentiate them. Do ROTY analysts listen to the sound and feel while SOTY analysts look at the lyrics and composition? Oh well, it's just the Grammys...

Heh, I didn't even think of the movie. I always considered it a separate entity from the TV show. I thought the movie was a mixed bag, really. Because of studio pressure, riffs and references were less esoteric, and aside from a couple in-jokes (The Hands of Fate), there were no references to episodes of the show. But on the other hand, they could swear, which was pretty funny in itself -

I found my old recommendation list from earlier this year Counting through the list, funny enough, I named a lot more than thirty episodes. I trimmed the list down to 30 (bearing in mind my biases from that post are still in effect). A star next to the episode means it's on my personal top ten list. Godzilla vs. Megalon *Cave Dwellers *Gamera Pod People Amazing Colossal Man *Master Ninja I *Master Ninja II Manos Warrior of the Lost World Eegah! Mitchell *Zombie Nightmare Creeping Terror San Fransisco International Red Zone Cuba Incredible Melting Man Parts: The Clonus Horror *Riding with Death Prince of Space Invasion of the Neptune Men *Space Mutiny *Time Chasers *Overdrawn at the Memory Bank Puma Man Hobgoblins Touch of Satan *Final Sacrifice Soultaker Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders Final Justice -
Tiny minority indeed... I've never met anyone who was so offended by TnA or dirty words on TV/radio that they felt the need to complain. Even my uptight religious family members stick with the simple solution of changing the channel (plus explaining to the kiddies, if necessary) and moving on with their lives. I'd like to meet these whiny bitches, really, I would

Honestly for the better, IMO As someone who has seen nearly all 188 episodes (discounting the local KTMA episodes, though I've seen ten of those), I'd say only about 20-30 are crucial must-see episodes. -
The funny thing is that a country/rap crossover doesn't have to be that bad. If you combine the best aspects of rap (the beat and good lyrics from the right rapper, which exempts Nelly right away) with the best aspects of country (storytelling), along with the fact that you can exploit a shared economic demographic (rap: inner city kids escaping the ghetto. country: hard working lower class folk making their way through life) then you could have a monster crossover song. The "Over and Over" song fails to do this though, instead mixing the worst aspect of rap (oversampling and repetition ad nauseum) and not really tossing in any country aspects at all save for an acoustic guitar (McGraw's voice wasn't even identifiable when mixed with Nelly's)

I asked the same question three weeks ago, I believe Holmgren has this hard-on for Hasselback that I'll never understand. When they got Trent Dilfer fresh off the Super Bowl Champion Ravens (who ditched him for Elvis Grbac in their own bonehead move, but that's another discussion), what did they do? Stick him behind unproven Hasselback. All you have to do is look at the GB playoff game last year to see what's going on in Hasselback's head.

Oh no you didn't As for the thread, I would be content to say "any pop song I heard this year", though I can't really remember most of them. Funny how a lot of pop songs used to be memorably bad, now they're just forgettably bad. Of the ones I can remember, I'd nominate that "country/rap" crossover "Over and over" which consists of Nelly and Tim McGraw saying over and over again over and over again over and over again...

Just a warning Dama, as one of the few guys who probably likes you in these here forums: You are doing the exact same thing that got Anglesault banned...

I hope so. Differently. Adverbs, bro. Put that English major to good use, Ed

Here's my question: In the city namesake of the sandwich, where's the best place for one?

Only two interest me: Louisville vs. Boise and OSU vs. OSU

Locally (and maybe in other Kansas cities, but I don't know), there's a chain called Spangles that makes good burgers for cheap ($1.50 for 1/3 lb-er) and then even sells them (along with other burgers like chili burgers or western burgers) for half-price on Monday nights Nationally, I'll go with Wendy's. Say what you will about the square burger, but I like it. Ranking in order of preference Wendy's Hardees (there aren't any around here, but I'll always stop at roadside ones while traveling) McD's BK (I never, ever eat there)

Seconded Although ring introductions in the last couple years haven't meant that much to me at all... Lillian and whoever does Smackdown don't inspire me at all when they announce match participants and winners. When Fink, Capetta, that New Japan guy or even that guy from the 80's NWA (see: Flair DVD) announced participants/winners, chills would go up my spine (Fink: "The winner of this bout, and NEWWWWWWWWWWW..."), whereas the current crop just makes my dick go limp.

It loses a lot in textualization You need to hear his delivery to get the full experience Then again, knowing you, you wouldn't like it, dick

No, Minnesota won both games by double-digits in regulation (by 13 and by 14), and the one on Monday night (the second game) was at the dome.

I'll just individually repost some that I did at WDI, out of boredom "Allright let's take roll... Me? Here! Ray? Dead! Well, got that sorted out..." -

My minor complaint is that a lot of the quotes other people seem to toss about are ones that I didn't really laugh at -
I know this is just supposed to be about the Rose Bowl, but after looking at the whole bowl schedule... this sucks... I can only see 3-4 games I care about (in the past it would be upwards of 8-9)
