Gees, you act like cheese is a really bad thing I like a lot of cheese metal, whether of the fantasy type (Manowar, Rhapsody, Hammerfall, BG) or of the 80's hair-metal type I will admit though that there are far too many bands named Dragon(something-or-other)

How many more people will post in this thread seeking approval for their av-sig combo? Place your bets

When you start a review off like that, I could have no idea of the negativity that would follow The only point I agree on is that the rocker-ballad-rocker-ballad alternation on this CD is quite annoying. Thankfully this is the only IE CD where this is an issue. Matt Barlow (the singer) is one of my favorite metal vocalists, personally. Unfortunately he quit singing to concentrate on becoming a badass DA or something like that. Re: Sameness - Sameness is going to happen in any form of music. I quit complaining about sameness in music (aside from pop music, but pop deserves to be mocked) a long time ago, personally. That's also to say nothing of the irony of you chiding them for sameness while singing the praises of assorted black-metal bands who are equally as guilty of such a trait. Beyond that, there's just no accounting for taste, period.

I put you in my sig... isn't that enough for you?

Funny how this turned from a Megadeth thread to a Slayer thread My opinions For Slayer: - Show No Mercy, Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood are must-owns for any metal head - South of Heaven and Seasons are also highly recommended - Everything since then being meh or worse. - Also, if you like live stuff, get the Decade of Agression CD and the Warfield DVD For Megadeth: - Peace Sells, Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction are must-owns - So Far..., , Youthanasia and Cryptic Writings are recommended - Risk isn't even coaster material... - Haven't heard all of Hero but the few songs I have heard were pretty good - Songs I've heard from the upcoming album make me very optimistic about the new CD - If you don't mind the live stuff (I love live CDs, but some people seem to be averse to them) then check out Rude Awakening too, it's got a good mix of songs both old and new, although there is some flubbing on the guitar play throughout, but that's the kind of thing that can happen live (kudos to them for not overdubbing the mistakes either, preserves the true concert feel)

It seems like a lot of skinny/small guys I see with shaved heads just look horrible Some guys can pull the look off (Vin Diesel), but others don't look that good (Joe Satriani)

Here's food for thought Which would you rather have: A full head of grey hair or all your natural-born color but smooth on top? I think the answer would be fairly obvious
-
Does this really need to be noted?
-
Balding is a lot worse than grey hairs... At least when you're young, you know that almost everyone goes grey in due time, but you'll never know if you got saddled with bad hair genes until it hits you... Shaving my head was the best thing that could happen to me though as it got rid of the typical paranoia that comes with MPB. The only problem is not everyone can carry a shaved head look (see: most skinny guys) What has been interesting to me in the time since the discovery of my own genetic luck is that I've been noting the genetic crap shoot of life in my ex-classmates that I see around campus. Some still have the same hairline they did at graduation, while others already have smooth scalp. Funny how that works out

The OAO "Which PBPs are Birds and Jew2K1?" Thread

I come back from vacation and nothing of note happened in this thread Oh well At least Choken and Slacklet got added to the BP list while I was gone, so my second-hand bloodlust has been satiated for the time being -
Never fear, Hogan wouldn't pass up the chance to add to his beating big men award. He faced The Wall during the 2000 Nitro spring break, the last show before Russo & Bischoff returned on April 10th. The build up was classic WCW. Hogan did a promo in-ring and The Wall appeared on top a building signaling for the choke slam. This lead to one of the all-time greatest wrestling quotes (IMO): (after seeing the Wall on top of the hotel) Hogan: "....THAT'S THE WALL, BROTHER!"

Thumbs up to the first song Unsure about the second one at this time
-
And it makes sense too, since CWM is from the land of snow and ice, and Inc is from the land of fire and (almost) dead people
-
Well, since CWM wins, I presume he is the one who was not decapitated No wonder you make people get nachos...

Here's what's really going to happen in the fight:

From what I've read, it seems like a fairly new law. It forbids non-Canadian citizens from imploring Canadians to vote for or NOT vote for a certain candidate. These laws completely and totally violate the First Amendment Canada doesn't have a First Amendment They may have a Freedom of Speech provision (I think, help me out Northies), but they don't have a First Amendment That's just my anal side talking though
