Yay, I'm a problem poster. I'm moving up in the world. As said before, I have had very minimal problems with any of the mods before this.

I'm not sure what fantasy world Lance Coffey ("If I may be serious for a moment...") is looking for, but personally I don't come here for long thought out discussions, as, quite frankly, my attention span has eroded over the years to almost nothing. I do the same thing here as I do in person, which is mock people who take things too seriously (Coffey apparently would fall onto this list), while maybe now and again kicking in an occasional bit of serious discussion. Personally I don't care that much about the WWE folder, but since I use the "Get New Posts" button, I see and read posts from almost every folder on the board, rather than going to an individual folder like I imagine most people do. I can't help if threads in there do deserve mocking (not that it's the only folder that does, mind you *coughCEcough*), but when you have people like glennsoe or gearhead making thread after thread of nothing, I think I would be the least of the folder's problems. This is one reason why it so humorously caught me off guard when nik PMed me saying one of my typical posts was flaming and banworthy. Maybe some of the issues you mentioned do need to be addressed, but really, I don't care. Personally, I'll continue going about things the way I have.

I am chilled out. I am also aware Nik can't ban, hence why I was really laughing when I read his PM and laughing even more to my shortened response to him. Really, if what I said was "flaming" (making a sarcastic off-topic response), then 75% of this board is comprised of flamers. Some of the best shit ever on this board has come from knocking a horrendous topic into some other better subject. My main point here is that I think it's laughable for anyone to suggest that Nik is a good mod. He has demonstrated that he has a huge stick up his ass that would even make DrTom cringe. Seriously though, even though Tom and I have had problems in the past, I've seen that he's damn smart and can back up his shit, even when I disagree with it. I see no such redeemable factor from Nik being a mod, however. You wanted your intelligent response? Here you go.

I feel the opposite way, since Nik is the only person who I've come to actively dislike as a mod. After he's called some of my standard smartass remarks in a WWE thread "flaming", and on top of what I've seen him say to other similar posts/posters, posting in the WWE folder is even less fun now than it was before his ascension to mod status. Whoever made the call to promote him should re-evaluate said decision, IMO.

The pedagogical dickslapping that occurs in the CE folder is the type of vacuous discourse that turned me off of political discussion in the first place, hence I only go into the folder to make my smartass remarks (a la KKK) and then get the fuck out ASAP Possessing assorted degrees and arguing back and forth about how much Bush r00lz/sux0rs does not make you better than us supposed plebeians who come here to discuss "less than important" things
