A rare Friday game. Last one may have involved the Vikings. On XMas eve, no less Minnesota goes to Green Bay in November, so the Vikings don't get the early September advantage that they had last year

I always thought DoTF to be underrated in the metal scene, as the two albums that seem to get most of the love are Screaming for Vengeance and Painkiller, albeit for good reason. If I expanded the above list to 15-20, Painkiller no doubt would be on there.

I gotta see that Past-shoulder length brown hair with a reddish tint, only pull it back for special events, otherwise I let it all hang free. My philosophy is "Why have long hair if you're going to keep it corralled all the time?" The stark contrast comes from the fact that up until the age of 20, I sported conservative short hair. I started growing it out in mid-'00 because 1) I was getting back into heavy metal again and 2) I had just been dumped, and went into an anti-social dive, thus I went through this fairly stark radical change (though hair growing is a long process, I know) that eventually evened itself out over time

For lack of anything better to do, I'm doing the rating posters shit too Instead of a grade though, I'll use a 1-10 scale, just to change things up a bit

Is not My top 10 is hard to say... what was my top 5 five years ago is not the same as 3 years ago is not the same as even a year ago... so I rifled through my CD collection, thinking about what CDs I've always come back to time and time again, no matter what the genre, or what mood I may be in... For lack of any ability to put them in preferential order, I've put them in alphabetical order Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder Death - Symbolic Fates Warning - Parallels Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans Nevermore - Nevermore Paradise Lost - Draconian Times Savatage - Streets Virgin Steele - Marriage of Heaven and Hell Part I Yngwie Malmsteen - Rising Force

Recommend: Number of the Beast, Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Dance of Death Anti-recommend: The Blaze albums. While I like X-Factor (Virtual XI sucks though), I can't recommend it to Maiden n00bs right off the bat. Recommend: Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith, Painkiller Anti-recommend: The Tim Owens albums, studio or live. He was horribly misused during his time there, and the guitarists drop-tuning their classic songs at concerts was blasphemy. Given the extensiveness and variety of their discography, it's hard to figure where you might start, but one major thing IMO is that the live albums are far superior to the studio outings, so find the live CDs, especially Absent Lovers, Night Watch and Vroom Vroom
