*raises hand* And don't ban Mole. Sure he blows, but he doesn't blow on a bannable level, plus there's the whole "we need low-end people to kick around" thing
-
Of all the things said since I posted last night, this is the one I agree with the most America's concept of "saving the children" has done nothing

Word

The simple blanket counterargument. I was trying to point out the potential child's perspective whilst growing up I didn't even know up until this point that you had a kid, and am somehow surprised by the fact
-
Meh, I never understood the whole "WE HAVE TO SAVE THE CHILDREN~!" mentality, having been a child seemingly not too long ago. I was sexually aware at a young age and even by the age of ten saw much worse than a lone still-mostly-covered breast, and this is in spite of growing up in a fairly uptight Catholic household (which I'd say "damaged" me worse than anything of a sexual nature) in the conservative 80's... ...and here I am, perfectly fine

I may be the world's biggest adult Hilary Duff fan

She's only four years younger than you -
Sadly, that made too much sense But that didn't answer my question of WHO is it that's offended Here's a small list I can think of so far: Feminists (morseo for Stern) Uptight religious people Bitter old people Uptight parents Of course, the latter two could fall under the religion spectrum too, but again, I'm trying to see if there's any other cause to protest against "adult" talk shows
-
If you asked me back in '97, I would've said "Mmmbop" Now, however, that song is like "Hey Jude" compared with the multitude of radio crap that's come out since then I really don't know the answer to the question now either, as it's easier just to ask me what popular songs I do like (small list) rather than dislike (not-so-small list)
-
But the next question is: If this select minority is kowtowed to, will they be satisfied or will they just move on to find something else to complain about and ruin for everyone else Also, who is it that is offended by this type of thing anyway? I'm trying to avoid pigeonholing this as purely a fanatical religion thing or bitter old people thing, but those are the only type of people I can think of who be offended by such things.
-
I've already posted my thoughts in this thread (boo to multiple threads!) but needless to say, I'm less than happy about this trend
-
And therein lies the huge problem, namely that of minority control I say we should go the other direction. Let everything be wide open, and then the minority can pigeonhole themselves in their safe little programs and let the rest of us live how we want
-
Don and Mike talked about the Stern incident at the beginning of their show, and they went off on ClearChannel and Infinity Broadcasting, talking about how guys like themselves, Stern and others of the sort were put on the air to do a certain type of show for a particular type of audience, but now that a minority is crying up in arms, CC and IB are not sticking by their guns but rather are trying to change their programs and thus screwing the very large particular audience of said shows Fuck the tightasses and fuck the FCC for not telling them to fuck off

Maybe she shaves -
Time for the local perspective: It got a small locally written (not from AP) article on the front page of the Wichita paper this morning, though it was more of an obit about the woman than about the incident itself. Juxtaposed with it was the BIG article about the sample city response to the movie. And from the pictures they've shown, she didn't look overweight, so cancel that factor out.

The rare exception being Contra. Exceptions are rare indeed

As for the worst box art I can think of, I've probably forgotten more bad covers than I can remember, but this one reaches WTF levels
-
The Import Video-Game Elitist's Law of Video Game Box Art: If a Japanese game has cool box art, invariably the American company will replace it with something nondescript at best and horrid at worst
-
Damn the FCC is cracking down on radio... Don and Mike have had to really tone down their show in the wake of that as well as letting "bullshit" get out uncensored twice in one show
-
Jackyl I too had fun playing it, though I died many a time doing so

Of the choices, Castlevania III (cause I'm a big Castlevania mark) Outside of the choices, Castlevania II, Rygar or Mega Man II (before the premise got silly)

Anglesault will bitch about something Actually, that's my prediction for any day at TSM

Nice chance for those deaf people to brush up on their lip-reading skills

Wait, you're Canadian?! I got around mid 1300's, and it was not an indicator of college performance because my total HS GPA was 3.6, but I did horridly my first year of college because I was lazy and lacked discipline, which is what happens when you're suddenly away from home, but still lacking financial/other responsibilities... I'm better now

Which is funny because that's where most of the wrestlers have been winding up anyway
