Didn't Belichick already break that one? Belichick's admittedly forgettable tenure in Cleveland is a far cry from the wake left behind by Phillips (failing with Elway, benching Flutie for Johnson, that gape-mouth look he gets when his team loses at the last second as with the Music City Miracle or Joe Montana's Mile High Comeback) or Norv, whose head coaching career was best summed when Bill Simmons said something along the lines of "When Norv takes his dog for a walk, does the dog quit after they reach the end of the driveway?"

I'm still waiting for the inevitable implosion of Dallas with Wade Phillips at the helm Unless he finally breaks the curse of "Coordinators who inexplicably keep getting head coaching jobs", since it doesn't look like Norv's going to do that

Black Ops undercover agent. He's got a super secret 00Belichick radio piece in his ear This is what happens when the D-posters of TSM come in and try to run with the remnants of jokes already exhausted by better posters, only to fumble on the line like Tiki Barber

    The College Football Thread 11/6 - 11/10

After coming home today I saw the score of the K-State game and wondered if I was back in high school again, but no, this is the .500 Cornhusker team led by Bill Callahan, who had in turn given up an equally embarrassing number of points last week, and at this point the win over UT seems like a distant memory as KSU is even fading out of the "we'll take anyone around .500 bowl" contention. Ohio State losing at least dampened that mood, and a KU loss tonight would bring my sporting spirit back up. All is not gloomy in the Slayer household however as Mrs Slayer is ecstatic with VT finally beating Free Shoes U for the first time ever, setting up a potentially exciting showdown against Edwin in a couple weeks

  20. Though (I believe) that was the year that Sapp looked like he was going to rip Mike Sherman's head right off his body, which would have been the awesomeist thing ever
  21. Even worse is the 2002 Bucs had characters like Sapp and Keyshawn, so it's not like they were forgettable in the "San Antonio Spurs buncha nice guys play game right way" manner
