To clear up the SMU case The death penalty was only imposed on SMU for the 1987 season, but the school was devastated in so many areas (economics, recruiting, etc.) that they voluntarily remained shut down in the '88 season before returning in '89 (where they went 2-9)

So what happened to the Molly/Ivory thread? Did it not get re-opened and moved back to the WWE folder?

Owning nearly every Priest CD, I can't see buying this... though I'd love to get my hands on the DVD. It'd make a nice addition to my collection with the Electric Eye DVD

Ehhh, I wouldn't consider this a big deal really... Testament used to have a solid lineup in their early years, but after Skolnick left post-Ritual, it's been a rotating lineup behind Chuck and Eric Also, when the hell are they releasing their next CD... I loved The Gathering and would love to see the followup

Source As you may recall, a couple months ago their baseball team knocked our team out of an Olympic berth I thought all their best athletes were already up here

I remember once on a Superstars airing, Randy Savage actually made reference to his match with Steamboat That's the only time I remember any reference being made to his earlier WWF run

With the exception of the timeless MPATHG, I only recall people quoting said movies for about six months after hitting the theaters before moving on to the next trite catchphrases I'd go with Austin Powers, moreso for the people who annoyed me with the quotes rather than the annoyingness of the quotes themselves

Yes, and here they are (Edited by DrTom) There you go

Celtic Frost isn't, but Metal Church is Along the lines of what CoreyLaz said, it's hard to define thrash because several qualities tend to overlap with power metal Here are the bands I can think of (most have probably been mentioned, but here's my thoughts) The American Big Four (don't need to say much about these): Metallica Slayer Megadeth Anthrax (the only one of the four still going strong today IMO) The German Big Three: Kreator (get their double live CD for good compilation) Destruction (great 80's thrash, lulled in the 90's, but came back with some kickass CDs in early '00s) Sodom (same as Destruction) Others: Annihilator (dark Canadian thrash) Testament (picked up the ball after Metallica fumbled bigtime) Overkill (underappreciated thrash) Agent Steel (good sci-fi themed thrash) Metal Church (get their first two CDs NOW. If you already own them, get them and play them NOW)

The Capital Centre was in Landover, MD ("Capital" since it was so close to DC; later renamed the USAir Arena and torn down a few years back). I'm from the area so everytime I go home, I'll find a few more via old issues of the Washington Post. D'oh... there's a Capital Centre in Flint, MI and that was the first one I thought of (since I'm originally from Ohio/Michigan) Looking back at the ads for Wichita from the early 90's, there was a time when they came here every six months or so... now we're lucky if they come here every two years or so (last time was an SD house show in August)

Who do you know in Flint, MI? (I see a lot of ads from the Capital Centre) I also see a couple of events I went to long ago (in Wichita)
