Looking back historically, it's kind of funny how they lost in progressively worse fashion with each successive SB (same could be said for the early 90's Bills) Then, of course, their first SB win was a close-tight battle, and their second was no concern at all. Well I can't imagine where your username comes from them

What will be interesting is that, as we go through the month of January, I imagine Bored will be posting several pre-SB issues of SI. Then you can really see some historic instances of the SI curse (see: current cover with '86 Broncos)

It goes Woody Paige Jay Mariotti Bob Ryan Tim Cowlishaw Bill Plaschke Michael Holley Everyone Else Max Kellerman Jay Mariotti is a number two, but not on a list For the guys I like, it's: Woody Ryan Holley Callishaw I can't stand Plaschke because of his annoying lisp and old-world morality. Mariotti is annoying beyond anything you could ever compare to, save for maybe Max himself

Not at the level of HTM. When you're at the point that an arena would take the popcorn vendor as champion just to take the belt away from the guy-when it's not even the major belt- you have gold. Like, for instance, no one cares right now about the IC champ, so no one will care when he finally loses it. When you can get people to care that much about who the IC champ is, you've done your job. Unfortunately, it proved HTM to be a one-trick-pony, since as soon as the belt came off his waist, his commodity dropped into the outhouse

Fuck ESPN "Maybe that Rush guy was right after all... oh well"

Two MVP-type players, two multi-INT conference title games Hmmm

This is one of the worst NFC title games I've ever seen... Not quite Rams-Bucs '00, but it's close

Peyton's performance today reminded me of Kerry Collins from a couple years ago. Collins torched a weak Minnesota defense, and everyone was saying "maybe he's not a bad QB after all", then he played a real defense, and you know how that ended
