Remember when Cartoon Network was primarily old Hanna-Barbera and Warner Brothers toons?

I see this one get thrown around and perpetuated by American ignorance of Canadian history Canada was not a nation until fifty-five years after the War of 1812 (if you really want to get technical, 170 years after, but that's another issue), so how could we have lost to a nation that didn't even exist? Back in 1812, what is now called Canada was occupied by mostly Brits, some Frenchies, and several displaced natives. No Canadians though. Not to mention Andy Jackson pwned the Brits in New Orleans

Clarify, please

I second that. I do not second that. OIAL was horrible, mostly because it was recorded on the final show of their tour and the band members were crapped out, as you can tell from quite a bit of off-play and Labrie's voice struggling like hell I'd recommend either the rare Live at the Marquee or not-so-rare Live in NYC (the one that coincidentally came out on 9-11-01 and the flaming heart logo with the NYC skyline, including two certain buildings, in the fire)

They bounced that idea around a couple years back (MNF swaps out a potential stinker for a game between two good teams), but it was determined that would go nowhere because there was no way in hell Fox or CBS would trade away games like that

On top of that, nowhere does there seem to be any possible minute little hint that perhaps Stringer had a hand in his own death Pointing fingers > assuming responsibility

As the boards only apparent outspoken Vikings fan, who remembers very clearly that hot and muggy day when Korey Stringer collapsed and later died, all I have to say is... <ahem> Fuck that bitch

Because we all know that Archie blew and Peyton is an overrated piece of shit with a Colts helmet on. Archie was definitely a good QB who never got to really taste a big game because he played on a shitty team, so he's exempt. Now as for one Mr. Peyton, until he actually wins a big game, I will contend that he is an overrated QB. Let's look at all the history here: 1) Owned by Florida for his entire college career. UT beats Florida the year after he leaves. Concidence? 2) The '98 Orange Bowl. Peyton's chance to leave UT on top with a 12-1 record while dashing the Cornfuckers title hopes? Not here. 3) 0-3 in the playoffs with the Colts So it is of my opinion that Peyton is an overrated QB who gets a lot of face time in the media because he's an "aw shucks" southern pretty boy.

Also, I've never been able to figure out what the fuck kind of name "Safer Sephiroth" is, besides stupid maybe Was something mistranslated, or did someone just make up a random word there Savior Sephiroth sounds cooler and makes much more sense, given his objectives

Oh yeah, my sports affiliations, mix of good and bad NFL: Vikings (0-4 Superbowl all-time and 0-2 NFC championships in last five years) MLB: Reds (greatest upset ever in '90) and Red Sox (do we need to go there?) College: Michigan (football national champs '97, Final Four champs '89, but Fab Five era shrouded in controversy) and Kansas State (finally got over the hump in football and won the conference) NHL(don't really pay attention to this as much as the above three): Devils (3 cups in last 8 years) and Blackhawks (no cups in 40+) EDIT: It's the oldest, but in recent years, the rivalry has gone far downhill with the Bears dropping off the map. Hell, even in '01 when the Bears went 13-3 and made the playoffs, they still got owned twice in the regular season by Green Bay. The Black'n'Blue's premier rivalry now is Minnesota-GB, by far
-
And it still does Seattle (no longer applicable) and San Diego have essentially been odd men out from the AFC West. It's all about the triangle between Oakland-Denver-KC, which is my next favorite rivalry in the NFL after the Black'n'Blue division
-
1984 AFC championship - The Seahawks owned the Raiders twice in the regular season but the Raiders would have the last laugh here and would then go on to crush the league-record scoring Redskins in the SB

Wow, lotta communications and liberal arts majors out there... No hard scientists? Engineers? Business? Or even <shock> comp-sci?

With the exception of the Celtics and Notre Dame (though they have that nationwide fanbase), all your teams lie within the same geography, so really your team selection makes sense Maybe you should come to grips with the fact NYC just blows <g>
